Having been unaware that Apple no longer supply chargers, the advertised fast charger appeared to be a good deal. As promised, it arrived quickly and was just what I needed. Very much like the additional B socket alongside the C connection. Delivered promptly and will be very useful. Many thanks.
It’s always a concern buying these high power chargers but at the moment this has been used 4-5 times with two devices being charged at the same time and the charger remains fairly cool, not burning hot to touch as some reviews for similar products suggest. I charged an iPhone 11 and iPhone 8 from around 10% to 80% in approximately 30mins and 40mins respectively
This is a useful plug mainly because 1 socket allows the charging of two devices, but I did need to also buy a USBC cable, but that’s ok because I suspect most new devices will use USBC and I feel Apple might just remove the charging port for a completely cableless iPhone in the future, relying on their magsafe chargers.
However I can now charge both devices thanks to having two “Ports”.
Works a lot better on more modern and higher power items such as car charger/powerbank and hand warmer/powerbank. You an still charge them using the old USB chargers but they take longer.
