Wanted to run a direct connection to the back of a mesh extender, which was the other side of a thick wall. This gadget was for the final connection to the USBC port of my MacBook and worked.

WiFi is great. The problem is that it’s not as safe as it might be. We’ve always been conscious of this and so we decided to introduce Ethernet cables wherever we can. This one offers Ethernet connectivity for our Android devices. It’s as simple as that.

    A very simple accessory.
It works with Windows 10 without installing any drivers, as expected.
The speed is as high as it should be.
My NAS can transfer at 120MB per second, so around 960mb/s, pretty much as fast as it goes.
    I did not experience disconnections.
The price, at 13, is reasonable, considered that the chassis is metal, so a bit more durable then plastic.

The adaptor is good quality and works at 1GB but this depends on the port you connect it to on your router/switch.

I tested this on a IMAC with a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) port and worked right out of the box no issues, I then tried this on my laptop this is an older model so does not have a USB-C or Thunder port so I connected it to a USB C Female to USB A Male Adapter and connected that to my laptop and I am happy to say that also works so these two will come in handy when I don’t want to use WIFI on my laptop.

This adapter worked perfectly straight out of the box. Like pretty much every adapter that’s been made in recent times, just plug it in and it’ll work.
I’ve used this with my work laptop as it doesn’t have an ethernet port and you’d never know the difference in basic use.
Those that are more technical that need specific performance might be able to tell, but for general use this will work just fine.
Reasonably priced for a specific adapter.

Really well made product, easy to use, allows me to have a hard wired connection and take full advantage of super fast internet speeds at home. Works perfectly. Fair value for money too I think. I might have to get another!

These days, laptops no longer have an ethernet port for plugging a network cable in directly. So either you have to rely on WiFi (which can be slow/laggy) or use an adaptor like this that converts ethernet (RJ45) to USB. This comes in handy when you have gigabit internet, as this adapter allows you to hit those 1000 Mbps speeds.

The adaptor arrived quickly, the next day in a plastic bag inside a generic, branded cardboard box. The packaging was more than adequate for the product, using only what is necessary (no unnecessary packaging/waste). The box is also recyclable, which is a big plus for me. It also came with a Quality Control (QC) card to show that it was inspected before being sent out for retail.

The adaptor is of good quality. It has an aluminium casing with moulded cable strains on both ends, allowing the cable to flex without straining the connectors. The USB side has either a Type A or Type C connector depending on the version you purchase. The ethernet side has 2 LEDs: one which shows network activity and the other which shows the speed.

The Left LED can be Amber or Green and acts as a speed indicator:
Green on — Operating as a Gigabit connection (1000 Mbps).
Amber on — Operating as a 10-Mbps or 100-Mbps connection.

The Right LED is only Green and acts as the Link/Activity indicator:
Blinking — There is activity on this port.
Off — No link is established.

This adaptor is easy to use and is supported by most modern devices. It is equipped with the popular RTL8153 chip, making it easy to use. This is because the installation does not require any drivers or external software. It works with Windows 11/10/8/8.1/7, MacOS, iOS and Android systems. It truly is plug-and-play as it automatically detects and configures itself, allowing you to enjoy a fast and stable network connection.

I didn’t get this for a laptop or PC but rather for my 2020 LG OLED TV. Most TV companies sell their sets with slow 100Mbps ethernet ports, which means you can’t take advantage of those sweet gigabit speeds. This is a huge inconvenience if you stream movies/videos locally off something like a NAS (Network Attached Storage). However, if your TV has a USB 3.0 port, then you can use this to achieve those higher speeds and I’m glad to say that it does work.
It offers fast speeds without any lag and now I can finally play 4K Blu-Ray movies off my NAS without any buffering.

Priced at 11.38 at the time of review, this is a fantastic pickup for a competitive price. The RTL8153 chip alone makes this worth it over the competition, even if they are a little cheaper than this.

I decided to review this BENFEI ethernet to USB 3.0 adapter because my ethernet input on my TV was faulty. Using this adapter I am able to connect straight into one of the spare USB ports on the TV. I have found this connection to be so much faster, with 4K streaming being very smooth and the internet on the TV also very responsive. I do have a 900mbs fibre connection to my house, and this ethernet adapter is capable of those speeds.
The aluminium casing makes feel like a solid little device.

Overall, this adapter is fast and well made, which I can highly recommend.

Many laptops and tablets are just wireless, these days, but this might mean you miss out on fast connections, especially if your laptop’s wireless is slow.

This lead is used to provide a more secure and faster connection for our laptop, which does not have Ethernet, but does have USB C sockets.

You simply plug the Ethernet lead from your router, into this adapter, then plug the adapter into your laptop or tablet. No drivers, no set up.

The photos show the speed we were recording on wireless, 85Mbps. After plugging this lead in, we got 270Mbps. Of course this will only go as fast as the Internet connection speed you have subscribed to. It will vary greatly according to your lead too. When tested on a 1Gbps network, we reached 970Mbps speeds.

As a device, it does one thing, but does it well. You can of course get devices which offer this, plus other connectivity, but they are usually around 3 or 4 times the price.

This is good and I recommend. I hope this helps you.

This small well made Gigabit Ethernet adaptor has the expected indicator LEDs which another one I purchased recently doesn’t. I tried this on 4K a Fire Stick it wasn’t recognized, though not unexpected, for our Fire Sticks I always opt for the adaptors with AX88179 chipset.

When I plugged the adaptor into a computer running Windows 10, it was recognized straight away, so there was no need to install device drivers which is always a bonus. One thing I did notice is it gets warm to the touch, so I’m not sure how this adaptor will behave in a warm atmosphere like our last summer. As it gets warm, I would consider where you place it, so that it can dissipate the heat.

This USB 3.0 to Ethernet adaptor performs perfectly for me.

I’ve been using this for just under a month top add a second ethernet port to a desktop PC. It was unbelievably simple to set up (plug in, detected, use) and has been rock solid ever since.

I conducted a few speed tests. My broadband speed remained basically the same whether the network cable was plugged in directly to this (down 36.96, up 8.59) or to the motherboard (down 36.76, up 9.09).

I now use it to connect directly to another desktop PC on my wired network (i.e. the two computers are connected on the wired network through a network switch but also directly using this adapter). This has had the added bonus of apparently doubling my throughput and enabling copying at around 220MB/s instead of the 1 Gbit limit of 110MB/s. Unexpected, but very welcome! I know that’s slightly off topic, but hopefully it might help someone!

All in all, an excellent, reliable adapter. Recommended.

I got this for my razer laptop which unfortunately doesn’t have built-in ethernet and wifi can be a bit slow in the location I use the laptop in, I have the laptop connected to the adapter and then the Ethernet cable is connected to a net gear wifi extender which is then connected to TPlinks which connects to my hub (yes it’s a lot ) and everything works perfectly my link speed is 67mbs down and I averagely get 65mbs down on the laptop so I am happy.

Struggled on WIFI speeds on my internet fire cube and thought this would help. Although i had to add a extra usb adapter to the fire cube this is not a problem. Not sure if this would work on firestick though so maybe check google/YouTube. The speeds went from 15mbps to 200 mbps instantly. Just add ethernet lead to back of this hub and other end goes to ethernet on your router. All my streaming needs are fine now with no buffering whatsoever. The hub can be used on laptops/pc as well and is easy to put in laptop bag to take with you and use when away from home. I’ve not had any drop in connection whilst this has been connected so would recommend especially if your having drops in speed/buffering issues.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMost laptop now no longer have an ethernet port for plugging a network cable in directly. So you either have to rely on wireless connections, or use an adaptor like this that converts ethernet to usb c.

The adaptor arrives in a plastic bag in a slimline cardboard box, which is not great, but these adapters are usdualy pretty tough so it’s not a huge issue. There were no scuffs or scrapes or dings when mine arrived.

The adaptor is good quality. It has an aluminium casing with rubber cable to allow a bit of flex. The ethernet side also has 2 LEDs which will help with diagnosing or confirming network connection issues, which is really good and essential if you are working from home and need a steady connection.

This adaptor is really easy to use, for any laptop in the last 10 years just plug in and it’s ready to go. If it’s the 1st time using anything like it you may get a popup from windows saying it’s configuring but this is normal. If you are using a work laptop it may be worth checking with your IT department as some companies are very strict about usb devices or network adaptors. But as it’s for connecting a network cable it’s not likely to be blocked unless you deal with very sensitive or confidential data.

It offers good speeds without any lag and after a night shift it was very stable.

This is good quality and value. Highly recommended.

Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it useful.

My room is quite far away from Router so I can’t fully make benefiting of using internet so I had to order this USB C to Ethernet Adapter. It works great and there is no complaints with it. I tested it at University via cat 6 and saw over 700 Mbps connection speed on my MacBook pro. I really like this adapter and makes my life easier. I highly recommend this product.

    Thank you.

Tested with the latest Google Pixel 6 Pro, initial plug-in to the phone took a second for it to work; possibly due to the phone having to load the initial LAN capability since it had never been connected to LAN. After a few more tests over a few days, it easily picks up the device with no issues. Same process for the Samsung Tablets we own. Thus far, data transfers (internet and local NAS) have been quick to include no issues with gameplay on certain high internet use games. The overall quality and build of these are nice, both have out metal casings at the RJ45 and USB-C connector itself with a smooth finish. Easy to take along for use when travelling as tested recent local travel that needed a LAN connection during work, plug and play on both my Mac/WinOS based systems.

The adapter claims high speed data transfer, but only with suitable (CAT6) Ethernet cables.

Quality is nice, works straight out the box just plug into device and it works, cable is a decent length, connectors are nice with cable braces, nice aluminium construction, lightweight and small enough to carry around in bag. Nice for downloading larger files on my phone or tablet. Feels durable enough, would be nice if the cable was braided to add durability.
