I came across this perfume in a charity shop half full and liked the smell. I found it on Amazon at a very reasonable price and have ordered it several times. Nice for daytime use, not heavy.
Very nice. Value for money. Will buy again. Will recommend
I love a perfume from M&S which is very much like no 5 but never seems to be available, must be very popular. So I thought to try this one on recommendation and I am very happy I did give it a go. It’s a no nonsense company that makes it and is a British company. I also like their similar to Paris perfume. I will purchase again.
I adore perfume of all kinds, but got fed up with my fave fragrance brands like Lush, Banana Republic, etc charging stupid prices for stuff that has zero sillage and stops even smelling on your skin after ten minutes.
Tried this on a whim, as i like ML scents during the Spring/Summer months.
For a toilette, Bondage a nice soft sillage and leaves a trail of heady, dusky sweetness as you go by. I sprayed it on me a few hours ago and can still smell it. The scent is fun, sweet, but velvety and with an edge. A bit like JPG Classique, but sweeter.
This is a 5 perfume – and it lasts longer than my usual Lush fragrances.
This perfume snob is very impressed. Definitely a scent for a night out.
I love this fragrance. Classy scent and last quite a long time. Unbeatable for the price!
There’s no way I can afford Chanel no. 5!! This scent is a really close match and anyway smells lovely. I’ve had loads of random people telling me how nice I smelled!!! Excellent value for money, lasts a long time and you do not need to use much to smell wonderful!!!
someone approch ed me in tescos and asked me what purfume i was wearing they could smell me 2 isles dwon lol i proceeded to tell them john paul for women…after spraying more then 2hrs prior to going to tescos…i must admit i sprayed like 5times …. but needless to say for the money an price its worth it its the real deal to me as it sooooo smells like it more or less all milton lloyds are very good copies to sling in the hand bag 😉 the eternity u only need 1spray its quite heavy an doesnt smell like eterinty at 1st but after time u can smell eterinty weird as that sounds
A really close match for no.5 ~ smells lovely and clean and the longevity is on par with the original! For this price it cannot be beat! Will be buying more as soon as I run out!
EDITED: I reached the end of my first bottle and went ahead and ordered bottle number two! I love it!
I love the scent, it does have Chanel No 5 DNA but I use it on my clothes as cheap or fake perfume isn’t regulated or have real ingredients and have high alcohol levels so it could have any chemical in it which if you don’t know can cause cancers in some cases.
I usually use this as a body spray on my clothes and use the real perfume behind my ears, I never put perfume on my skin as it can cause dryness and pre-aging.
However, it is good value when with the real perfume I get a lot of comments as it does smell similar.
I also use Le Jardin by Max factor, Eden Classics which is also similar but weak as a body spray with the real perfume.
Many perfumes in the 70/80s copied eachother. Such as Beautiful by Estee Lauder, Golden syrupy colour, floral sandlewoody vibes like Chanel No 5’s golden amber colour, floral sandlewoody scent but just different notes. However, you can feel the same styles.
I hoped this helped on how to apply it. Just be careful.
Bought this not because some reviews said it is like Chanel No 5…but because I fancied a change from my usual smell in perfumes/colognes…I have to say it smells beautiful when first put on but very disappointed that it does not last long at all..a couple of hours pass and no one could recognise that I had any perfume on..It is a great low price but for something that does not last at least till lunch time I have to say I will not be buying it again..
I have used Milton Lloyds perfumes for years – mainly the Bondage as smells the same as Jean Paul Gautier Woman.
As a lover of Channel 5 – from when I was younger – I thought I would just try this – WOW.
Smells the same – and seems to not evaporate as quick as the Bondage perfume.
I spray a little in my hair every day – and get comments almost daily from my work pals
JUST LOVE IT
I bought this before Christmas, not expecting to get the actual Nr.5 Eau de Parfum as a Gift.
This gave me the perfect opportunity to spray them both next to each other and see how similar they are.
I think Vogue is a decent dupe for Nr5, when originally sprayed the opening is almost identical, maybe slightly more citrusy.
After that, the real Nr5 quickly goes over into powdery Aldehydes whilst this stays quite strong, floral citrusy.
Both perform similar, lasting a long time which is really good for such a cheap copy.
I’d say this is decent if you’re looking for an affordable option. Next to each other, it’s clear which one is the dupe and which one is the original but if it was worn by someone and I was to get a whiff of it, I probably couldn’t tell the difference.
Therefore it’s a decent product.
The same perfume can smell great on one person and disgusting on another. So it is probably worth taking a punt on a cheap perfume as you may get a bargain if it suits you. When I first tried this I thought it was not for me – but I had used too much! A light spray lasts a long time and, luckily, it smells pretty good. Not quite Chanel No. 5 but something like it. Give it a go. You might get a bargain.
I thought I knew exactly what to write for Vogue, but it has changed the more I think about it! My precious bottle of Chanel No 5 parfum is running somewhat low and, no longer being in a position to replace it, I thought a smell-a-like would make a useful top up. The more I read about Milton Lloyd perfumes, the more I thought I would have nothing to lose, and I’m pleased to say that so far none of the ones I have bought have been a disappointment. When I first sprayed Vogue (being careful not to overdo it as Milton Lloyd atomisers are renowned for their power!), I thought this was going to be my first disappointment. I wasn’t expecting an exact copy by any means, but this smelt cheap and almost like it had gone off, it was verging on being sour. I resisted the urge to rush to the bathroom to wash it off because I know from experience that first impressions of a perfume are not necessarily the best ones and might not reflect what is to come… I’m pleased to say that it managed to redeem itself! As it died down over about 20 minutes a much smoother smell began to surface, the lovely powdery type scent that I relate to Chanel No 5. My nose has never considered No 5 to be floral, infact I can honestly say that I have never been able to pick out any particular smell, just one lovely overall scent. This is how Vogue became for me, just one lovely, delicious overall scent, sort of powdery, even very vaguely soapy, but very like the perfume I wanted a dupe of. It smelt expensive and I’m not ashamed to say that if anyone were to ask me what it was, I would risk getting a nose like Pinnochio to say it was the real thing!
A couple of hours on and Vogue is still doing well. It has completely dried down and carries a faintly sweet, rosey smell that I have never had from the original, but it is still has that overall scent that I love. This one definitely has staying power on me. Will I buy it again? Yes, without a doubt. It is a lovely, classy perfume in its own right, and the smell belies the more than reasonable price tag. The fact that it is extremely similar to my beloved Chanel No 5 is the cream on the cake, and I recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive replacement or who has never tried the original and would like to without spending a small fortune.
