I know this sounds strange, but I always take it off to shower. Functions are easy to use, with a light built in that you can press in the dark. It doesn’t wake anybody else up
My first impression of this Watch is very impressive. It has a good size face and easy to read Dial. It was easy to set the time etc, and to use the functions seems self explanatory
I like this watch because it was at a reasonable price and has a big easy to read face and a stopwatch function and illuminates well when using the light button.
Easy to adjust.
Lovely big display so I can see time without my glasses. The night light is easy to locate when you’re half asleep and it’s an unusual calm green colour. When I got it I thought the Face was going to be far too big for my wrist but I don’t even know I’m wearing it which is amazing for such a big watch come back to this kind of watch after having about five smart watches much better if I want to take my pulse I’ll just put the stopwatch on and none of the other functions apart from the pedometer seem to work anyway and I can always use my phone for that really pleased I bought it!
However, I could not find actual case/face measurements in the reviews I read, I knew it was going to be large, believe me the watch is BIG!.
Case size is 47mm, watch face/dial is 40mm.
Reasonably easy to set up, the instructions are one of the better direct translations from Chinese to English I have encountered.
My everyday watch I am repairing, waiting for a part so required something cheap that will make do for a few weeks and as a go to when doing mucky work.
The strap is long and should fit most wrists, it is not rubber but resin material.
If strap were to break, it is possible to replace it.
The battery is large, a standard CR 2032 and comes supplied but it will be a cheep variety and may not last, easy enough for DIY replacement but suggest replacing with a Duracell or Varta Brand, the type typical in Vehicle Key Fobs.
The numerals are big and easy to read in normal mode and the green back light is bright enough, stays on for 3 seconds, any longer and frequent use of, the wearer I imagine would be replacing the battery more often.
Water resistant, ( not proof ), to 5 ATM, ( 50 feet ), don’t now if claim is accurate, no reason as yet to doubt it.
Cheap watch, not elegant, very large, Very light, ( which I hate ), initial thoughts, pleasantly surprised.
I’m getting on a bit and the model of watch I have used for the last 30 years was getting a little hard for me to read without my glasses.. This watch has a big display that is easy to read. It also has a very bright effective backlight for use at night.
Downsides:
The date format is month/day. I would prefer it to be the other way round. It might be changeable but to be honest I haven’t really looked into it yet.
The buttons are a bit big which makes them easy to use but prone to be accidently pressed. I often look at the watch to find that it is stopwatch or alarm mode.
This watch has big big digits and buttons, just the quickest glance and you know the exact time. Day/Date/month and seconds big too. Everything big and easy to use. simple to set up. Good stop watch with big buttons ( did i mention it is big). Only wore it in shower, don’t know about swimming in it etc. Pedantic me thinks the luminous display light could stay on a second more in dark, when you press one of the ( big) buttons, but that’s just me getting old i suppose. No brainer purchase me thinks.
Nearly one year on. Lost 45 seconds in nearly six months then reduced to 9 seconds. Keen heavy DIY with it and glass/face still fantastic. Bathed and been out many times in pouring rain -no problem. Hardly ever off my wrist, unless I wear one of my Rolex watches. Everyday watch-beautiful. Light still good and helps at night. What can I say. This is for me unbelievably good value. Very versatile and accurate/robust. Plastic strap still good and does not smell half as much as rubber. This is a no-brainer buy for me. It is utterly fantastic !!!
I ordered one.
It turned up and was as advertised.
( In only a cheap thin plastic sleeve.)
Easy to use.
I particularly liked the way only the digits lit up in pale green when the light was pressed. ( Like advertised.)
The stopwatch was basic stop & start.
There was a slight scratch however, so I sent it back and bought the same item again.
When the replacement turned up, it was in a small card box. The watch looked identical.
However there are two differences…
1. The timer on the replacement watch has a split timer function. ( That I won’t personally use.)
2. The light on the replacement watch lights up the whole watch a bright garish green from the top left where the light button is. ( Light as with the first one that turned up, lasts for 3 seconds when pressed.)
The watch is very comfortable, looks nice enough, and is great for the money.
It’s down to luck what you get regarding light and timer though..
