I have been very pleased with this. Unfortunately now that we are heading into winter and the sun is not as strong it is not working. I am trying to discover if it has rechargeable batteries that I can replace to help with the decreased sunlight. So many very tiny screws in the back that I will have to purchase a tiny screwdriver to see if that is where the batteries are located.
Product works. The remote only seems to work if you are facing the product, so if you’re inside and want it to work, I haven’t found a way to do that. It’s nice mixed with my smaller solar lights!
An affordable solution to dark areas around house. It was easy to install and works much better than I expected. Solar feature is definitely impressive. I have recommended it to others.
These solar lights are a wonderful edition to our fences in backyard. Perfect lighting for night time when we let our pets outside.. Also for security and peace of mind that we can see the backyard clearly for uninvited animals or people..
At 15C detection range is about 10m.
These aren’t bad after-all… They weren’t so bright for the first couple of weeks of installation.
However, a closer look indicated, it needed to be charged longer in the sun as we only had so many sunny days, plus, the sensor is rather good/sensitive and easily turns-on 30-40+ feet away from vehicles in the street.
The trick was to re-angle it not to turn-on so frequently and this allowed it to keep more of the charge etc.
Long story short, it has been very effective and much brighter and I like the different day-time white light compared to most others around having yellow lights.
Installed the light on the gable end of the building where there is no available street lights. Have it set on Mode 1 which means the PIR only comes into play at dusk so no unnecessary use of stored energy during daylight. Have noticed that on two occasions, it has detected a cat walking on the path below. Installed it approximately 6.5′ above the path. Would purchase again if needed. Pictures taken consecutively but don’t do the product justice.

I bought this solar light couple of weeks ago, functionally it is good and working, duration of light is also good. But I was looking for real bright light and looking at 3000LM and other reviews I was thinking given it is solar, it will at least be touching 1500LM which is not the case. The brightness is just ok. The other things which I didn’t like is the design and fitting of solar panel does not adjust the direction solar panel, it is always facing straight up in the sky.
Great solar light. Needed a good light to light up the back yard area when I let me dogs out. Mounted and worked perfect. Remote lets me turn it on from inside the door so I can see whats out there when theres no motion. Mine came with a cool palm ratcheting screwdriver that I used to install the screws. 3 days and nights of use,so far so good. Lights up my dog area of approx 30×30 pretty darn good. Id buy another one if I see another spot around my home that needs the same lighting.
So the important thing it needed to do was to light the area where I park because sometimea there are skunks and other animals I cant see if its dark. Mostly however since I work at home and check oil on my “classic” car sometimes and if its dark, I dont need a flashlight. The light sections are adjustable for tilt and side to side angles.
So there are 3 modes. Sensor which turns light on when motion detected, dim mode which seems to keep dim light on all the time. And dim sensor mode which is a dime version of regular sensor mode.
I keep on mode 1 sensor for myself and it lights up my area fine. It does have a handy remote with battery included to change modes and dimness settings (5 altogether). I use 100% as this works best for me.
It has auto off in daytime so it doesnt use up power while charging. Seems to work as expected.
As far as sensor sensitivity it turns on when I step out of my house and head on it turns on immediately. Coming at it from the sides against the garage it doesnt react until i come up close to it but I never walk against the garage anyways. It emits a white LED light..speaking of which there are tons of small LEDs .
For the price and for ease of install Im very happy. I have not been able to test weather resistance yet, but will update at some point.
