I got this fan to replace an old one that stopped working.
It fit perfectly and was very easy to install.
The noise level is very low.
It also has a helpful light to show you whether it is currently on or off (since the fan will stay on for a while – depending on the timer – after you turn it off).

Fantastic buy. My old fan stopped working so I purchased this one. I wanted a quiet fan as the old one was quite load. I got what I wanted. It is so quite it is a good job it has a light to tell you when it’s one or you wouldn’t know.

The fan was easy to fit and was the same size as existing one which was a bonus as no decoration was needed. Looks nice and is quiet operatio

Very quiet fan never had one so quiet also you know the power is there whilst in the bathroom because of a led light which stays lite until you turn your bulb off,
Very impressed with the fan and nice low price.

he BEST upgraded for my 15 years plus bathroom extractor fan! folks even if your fan is not broken but it is older then 10 years – I recommend replacing it for many reasons – new technology, lowest noise, hygiene.

On the standard (non timer version) there’s no indication of which is live and which is neutral. The live is closest to the fan (see photo).

A nice quiet fan with simple pull cord, easy to fit though the cable colours are a bit odd

I replaced a very much more expensive extractor with this one. Unfortunately the original with timer and dehumidifier appears not to have required a switched live supply feed and worked with L, N and E. This extractor requires a switched live and I was not prepared to have this retro fitted which effectively means the timer will not work. A qualified sparks wired the extractor so it would display the light when the fan was on. The noise level was tiny until the cover was fitted, now it is more noticeable but not unreasonable when showering. If you were bathing that might be a different matter.

I bought this item to replace an older model and it was almost a like for like replacement. After installation the item is working fine.

This fan runs very quietly compared to others in the same price range.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGood fan, does the job. It is virtually silent.
Installation is easy although you may need to drill a hole through the plastic to get to the wires. One thing to keep in mind is that the cover is very hard to open when it has been attached to the wall or ceiling. Make sure you check everything before closing it after installation as you may not be able to open it again without damage.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersWARNING! Once you install the extractor, don’t put the protective grill on before you sand these latches down at least a bit. Because it is so damn hard to take the grill off if you decide to make adjustments to the timer later. I damaged my ceiling trying to pry that bloody thing off.
Otherwise the extractor is working as supposed to and is very silent indeed.

Used in downstairs loo, so suction is adequate for the environment but uncertain as th whether it would provide adequate suction for a large bathroom, but impressed with how silent the fan is

I replaced a Manrose with this. The corner screws don’t line up so needed to make new holes. It looks nicer and makes a quiet sound – it’s not silent, quieter than Manrose Gold by a long way.

Wiring’s bottom left. You need to know your live, switched-live and neutral wires – if you get the wires wrong it won’t work properly so you’ll know…

When wired correctly: When switched on, the led lamp illuminates and fan spins. When powered off, led lamp goes out but fan continues for the timed setting.

Very nice fan, but you need to do a bit of work before installation to ensure it fits properly. I had to add/route additional wiring, held in place with a bit of sealant, as my electric cables were on the RHS, while the fan connection were on the LHS. As a result of reading the reviews I also added a small cable clamp held in place with a small screw to ensure the pulley did not come off (see other reviews). I also drilled a hole on the RHS for the electric cable to enter the enclosure. If you try to knock out the plastic, etc. the fan gets damaged. I also held the drought disk/plate in place with some duck tape. After a bit of work prior to installation the fan was very easy to fit. You need to take your time with the fitting same as any other fan. Unfortunately, instructions are very poor and both cables in the pully version are Black, again reviews helps you with the wiring, but some guidance from the manufacturer would have been helpful.

After installing and switching on you have to wonder if it is running! Compared to other extractor fans this is very quiet. No screws holding the cover in place and no instructions as to how to remove it! Slot at indicator light end is a clue, need to force casing away from front to release it. Usual fiddly procedure to insert wires but if replacing similar wiring the same. Not sure about suction power as nothing to measure it with! Have never had a extractor fan that prevents mirror steaming up after shower so this is no worse or better than previous ones. But better price than others!

    Instructions are awful.

-Turn Timer dial all the way to left. (Anti clockwise)
-Turn Humidity dial all the way to the right. (Clockwise)
-Switch on power. (Fan should go off after around 2 minutes)
-Once it turns off by itself, turn the humidity anti clockwise until it switches on. Then turn the humidity a touch clockwise.
-Wait around 2 minutes, it should switch off by itself.
-Then adjust the timer to how you want it. All the way left = around 2 mins, all the way right is around 30 mins.

    You’re welcome.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI fitted this fan just two days ago so it is too soon to know how it will perform long term but it does come with a five year guarantee. It seems to be good value at 28. It was very easy to fit with simple, understandable instructions and diagrams. The screwdriver supplied was great. Such a simple idea saving having to find my own although you can turn to timer knob with you fingers. Such a shame that the design team didn’t go further and pre-drill the two power supply indentations in the back plate and fit rubber grommets to be opened with a blade as required. This is standard practice in so many similar applications e.g. wall light fittings. I sorted this by drilling (2mm) around the rim then cutting through the remaining material with a knife.
The back draft arrangement is quite novel. It is a simply a sheet of round, clear plastic light enough to allow the fan draft out but not the cold air back through. Clever idea!
    Go for it Guys!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI was pleasantly surprised at how good these low cost fans are, having installed two around 3 months ago. Though not silent, they are very quiet as fans go. I live on top of a hill with serious north winds- the backdraft stopper is very effective against these. Although it looks flimsy the thin film works better than two other backdraft fans I have with motorised shutters both of which are much louder. As the thin film only has to keep back air, it should last a long time, I guess the thin plastic film in a toilet sump lasts many years whilst holding back much heavier water. A tip is to use duct tape to secure the optional backdraft attachment so it holds in place well during installation (making sure it’s the right way round!), and to use sealant around the gaps between the walls (or ceiling) and vent tube so no stray drafts get through. Hook the cord around the small plastic lever for the pull cord to work properly (not in instructions).

Golden Review Award: 27 From Our UsersWe needed a ‘loovent’ style extractor fan to replace a discontinued model which was 13cm square. This one has a width of about 17cm and a height of 13.75cm. Due to proximity to the ceiling, some adjustment to the wall was needed for it to fit. The unit is well built and near silent in operation. The backflow vane is a little flimsy, but as the previous fan did not have one at all this should do a better job. As with all mains electrical equipment a qualified electrician should be employed to do the work. The instructions are very clear and the online details are easily available. Before doing any work the electrician will isolate the connection by switching off the circuit at the consumer unit or removing the fuse and testing for no live wires.
We noticed from the image attached the wiring sequence is Live Permanent, Live timer, and Neutral. The connector block shows a wire colour sequence of Black, Red and White from top to bottom. This was a little concerning as we would not have expected the live feed (from the connector block) to be black. However, it is fairly obvious the mains connection should be LIve (Red), Live switched (Yellow or grey) and Neutral (Black) from top to bottom. Not sure if there are regulations about wiring colours but as these are within the unit and an electrician is required, not a problem. Pleased with the build quality, quietness and price.
