I purchased the Vitafit 15kg Digital Kitchen Scales primarily for my baking and cooking needs, and I must say, they have exceeded my expectations. What I truly appreciate about these scales is their accuracy. Whether I’m measuring ingredients in grams or pounds, the readings are consistently precise, ensuring the perfect balance in my recipes. The large digital display is clear and easy to read, even from a distance, making it convenient for quick measurements during busy cooking sessions. The sleek and compact design of the scales also means they don’t take up much space on my kitchen counter, which is a definite plus. However, one aspect I find slightly inconvenient is the lack of a tare function for subtracting the weight of the container. It would have been helpful to have this feature, especially when measuring multiple ingredients in one bowl. Nevertheless, based on my user experience, the Vitafit 15kg Digital Kitchen Scales have become an essential tool in my kitchen, providing accuracy and ease of use for all my culinary adventures.

Compared to many this is a great little unit, ideal for kitchen or as I use it parcels for postage. Reasonably priced and comes with decent batteries.

If you distribute the load across the surface, and wait for the scales to settle, then they are pretty good.

I’ve put items on it and see it go from 7g to zero, that’s on a flat surface, untouched— you have to wait for the little ‘o’ to display to the left of the weight to indicate the scales have settled and the reading is accurate. It’s a l feature which is great but not overly clear when you first get them.

I’d say they seem accurate to + or – 2g but for most cases that’s absolutely fine. No cake is going to be ruined by that.

I’d be honest and say I’ve not used calibrated weights on it to check.

Cheap tho.. and still working and we use them many times a day to weigh dog food, make cakes.

They must be a load better than our previous scales, because the Yorkshire pudding batter I make using these scales produces perfect puds every time – they were really hit and miss with the old ones.

The surface is easy to clean but those buttons can get a bit sticky if you use them with flour or egg wash covered fingers. Yep, I’m a messy cook!!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI have been looking for a decent set of scales and seen these, so read a few reviews and they seemed to be ok, but sorry to say they are not as accurate as some of the reviews say. I do some confectionery work and most of the time my ingredients have to be reasonably accurate. So i thought that these scales would be fine for that, unfortunately i had great difficulty in weighing small amounts of less than 7g, i found that as i added the ingredient to my container i had added almost 50g and still no movement from the scale so had added the whole box of 100g just to see what happened the result read 1g on the scale so i no longer trust the scales to give me the actual weight so returned them for a refund. will continue my search for the perfect scale. These scales have a good few things about them that i really liked, 1. easy to clean the glass surface, lightweight, self calibrating. I liked the ideas that the scales had, but shame about the accuracy. The search continues.
