Arrived on time, works well, impressed with the heat provided,,ease of use and longevity of heat, handy to be able to recharge heat whilst still in bed, would recommend
Bought this for one of my parents who was in hospital and was not allowed to fill a traditional hot water bottle. Loved the product and easy to use! Heats up quickly and lasts long enough too.
This is a brilliant thing ,was bought for my 92yr old mum who really feels the cold ,she absolutely loves it so does my daughter and grandkids to the point mum bought one of them for my youngest grandson lol.cant fault i
Best thing ever and as a woman, best for the time of the month
This was a birthday present for my cousin who suffers with pains. She has found it to be so helpful and even takes it to bed where one of the uses is around her sore neck
This is great for elderly relative, no worries about over charging self cut off after 15 min. Retains heat for a long time.
No more heating to the perfect temperature or worrying about filling the small hole with hot water that may splash.
Heats up to the perfect temperature in 5 minutes.
No getting out of bed if it goes cold.
Retains the heat well.
Saves on gas bill!
The day this bottle arrived the gentleman that I purchased it for tried it out, the rang me to say how delighted he is with it. He has charged it and used it to warm his hands and was all set to use it when he went to bed. He is over the moon with it. Thanks
Doesn’t heat up as hot as standard water bottle but it maintains its heat for hours , fast to charge. Material is nice and soft.
Now this dosent stay hot for 5/6 hours it’s about an hour to 1 and a half but it generally lasts longer than a regular hot water bottle when u plug the charger in it starts to boil like a kettle with the heating element inside heating it up and it’s done in 6/8 minutes you can even have it at your bedside to reheat easily aspecialy if u have mobility issues it’s so handy it is a very soft little device and has a hand pocket aswell overall this is an amazing item for elderly or I’ll/ less mobile people giving them the capabilities to simply warm it up within arm’s reach once it’s cooled enough it will let u reheat it again but it has to cook down to a specific point or it won’t let you charge it again I’m so happy I came across this and plan to get another for my mother so she can alternate whilst it cools for continuous use they are also great to heat up and take out with you to keep warm in the cold weather absolutely could not recommend this more!!!
I LOVE this hot water bottle … only takes 15 minutes to charge/boil then you disconnect the charger, close the flap and you can use it on your lap or desk, put your hands inside and warm them up beautifully! I also use it as a hot water bottle in bed – put it in my bed about 15 minutes before I want to get in and it’s lovely and warm. I then put my hands inside the pouch and hold it to my chest and get off to sleep. I was hoping it would be good and do the job – it’s even better than I hoped for. In these very cold times, it really helps keep me warm. What more do you need to know? Just get one – you won’t be disappointed!
This is s great device, but I can tell you it does not stay hot for 6 hours. I did not expect it to, even though the website says so. A couple of hours after, at most, then it becomes lukewarm.
I would still recommend it, though. I sit with it under my legs, and it works great for a couple of hours.
I first discovered something similar as a present from an Italian friend – and frankly loved it. I then took a look on Amazon UK and found the same item (but almost double the price – hence a low score on value for money). That said, it’s just as good – if not better with a warm lining and place for cold hands.
It takes about ten minutes to warm up and lasts about six hours. However, you can always give it a boost in the night.
This has now replaced completely my hot water (water) bottles and I would recommend to anyone who finds winter too tough to bear.
Would this electric hot water bottle be simpler to use and more cost effective compared with a real hot water bottle? I tend to think so because the fluid inside, whatever it is, is reusable in much the same way as the coolant in a vehicle’s cooling system, except this water bottle cannot be topped up. Whatever the liquid filling is, it retains heat very well. With a real hot water bottle there is always the risk of scalding during filling. This risk is eliminated with the electric hot water bottle.
I would not call the electric hot water bottle expensive because its price is on a par with similar designs from other manufacturers. A genuine quality hot water bottle can still be fairly expensive but I was willing to gamble the extra cost was probably worth it.
I have used this electric hot water bottle several dozen times and I’ve come to think of it as an electrically-heated pillow. Once it reaches the desired working temperature, I disconnected the pillow from its charger and insert it into my bed beneath the top pillow. This is how I prefer to use it, near my head.
The time the pillow is on charge can be used to set how hot the pillow gets. Less time on charge, less heat. The pillow or its charger must contain a heat sensor to prevent overheating. The sensor periodically interrupts the power in much the same way as an emersion heater. An LED indicator on the charger indicates when the pillow is being heated.
There are no detailed instructions provided with the pillow because it doesn’t require any. Putting the pillow ‘on charge’ is as simple as putting batteries in a torch. What surprised me during first use was the ‘speed’ of charging (heating) the pillow. It gets very hot very quickly, typically 15 minutes is more than adequate to reach a comfortable temperature. Once disconnected from its mains-powered charger (240Vac) the pillow gradually cools over the next 6 hours, or so.
When its hottest setting is achieved it is probably best not to place the pillow directly onto the skin. It is very unlikely to inflict burns because the pillow has a soft, felt-like, outer cover, which totally encloses the flexible container that holds the heated fluid.
There is no information that I can find that describes the toughness of the pillow’s container. Can it be punctured accidentally? What is the fluid inside and is it dangerous if it leaks? What is the device inside that converts electrical power to heat? Is the container and its liquid replaceable? I am mindful of these questions when the pillow is in use so I treat it with respect. So far, so good. Recommended.
