This has been a fantastic purchase for our son. The night vision is crystal clear and it’s very useful to have both the parent unit and the app. Very pleased with this unit so far.
Bought this as an upgrade when the sound on our BT monitor stopped working after a year. Absolutely love this camera. The pan and tilt features are great for keeping your eye on a baby who moves around the cot all night. The night vision is super clear, there are functions to set alerts for sound or motion detection, the screen darkens after a few minutes when there is no sound or motion detected and you’re not using the parent unit. It has all the usual functions such as temperature gauge (which you can set an alert for if the temp rises above what you have set as the max/min!) and ability to play melodies or white noise etc.
the parent unit battery life is really good, lasts a full night with the video feed on for us. Range is fantastic and reaches out into our garden. You also have the choice to connect the camera unit to your wifi if you want to use your phone to monitor baby, or can just connect to the parent unit. Wish we’d got this one as our original baby monitor!
Very good quality and can hear everything, and also can see what’s happening on my phone as well which is a bonus especially if I need to quickly pop outside to get something for the baby or do groceries shopping and leave my niece who is 18years old or my partner with baby.
Pleased with this, Researched a lot of monitors before settling with this one. I like that you can have the screen on all the time and can choose to alarm you when baby is moving. Like the zoom in function and that you can adjust the camera from the monitor. Like the night vision too.
Very disappointed that the app stopped working after a while and does not enable me to reconnect my monitor back to the app, this is one of the reasons I got it!! Battery dies quite quickly with the monitor so always have the charger nearby. Other than this no complaints.
Great camera, great range on the monitor, we do find it disconnects from time to time but is easily corrected with a quick power cycle (Turing the monitor off and on again)
Handy app that you can control the camera & save recordings/ photos.
Purchased as our previous monitor broke so we looked for one with an app.
Very clear picture stream, best I have seen on any baby monitor! Can work in direct mode or via home WiFi. Home WiFi is needed if you wish to use the phone app also. There is some audio/video latency across home WiFi but nothing of any great concern. Would certainly recommend this product.
Picture quality: nice and clear both in daylight and NightVision.
NightVision: is in black and white. Daylight is in full colour.
Volume: some issues- see below.
Sensitivity: good, almost too good.
Usability: easy to use and set up. Good pan, tilt and zoom. Can be laggy but switching on and off solves it most of the time.
Connectivity: camera and monitor need to be in close range initially to connect but otherwise no issues as of yet.
Mobile app: not yet tried.
Battery: the parent monitor has a short battery life but can be mains operated. For full night monitoring, the battery alone is not enough.
Lullabies: are good but you also have to listen to it as it is picked up by the mic and therefore comes through on the monitor. There may be a way round this but I’ve not yet found it, without turning off/ down the sound/ sound detection.
Sensitivity: you are able to change the sensitivity for voice, motion and sound detection and you are also able to change whether or not you want to be alerted when either of these occur – I.e. your little one makes a sound, shuffles or cries.
Whilst this is good, even on the lowest sensitivity, the camera picks up noise from other rooms.
Alerts: The voice, motion, sound, temperature, alerts are very loud and cannot be turned down. The alerts appear to have one volume setting, even though you can turn down the volume of the entire monitor itself (therefore cries etc. would not come through as loud, but still audible)
Whilst this is good for waking you up (alerts are set up for a reason) you also risk waking up others in other rooms.
However we got round this by turning up the sensitivity on the sound and motion settings, turning up the volume on the monitor and turning off the alarms. We could hear and see what we needed to check and it was loud enough that we would wake to it just without the beeping of the alarms.
Generally happy with the camera and monitor as it does what we need just the alarms are very much alarms. Loud and intrusive!
The camera is great the picture and sound quality is good especially compared to some of the other similarly priced setups. There are some functions on there that I am still trying to get right. The wall mount is good and the charger cord lengths are good too.
Baby isn’t here yet but so far the sounds are really nice and picture quality is okay. Can’t really comment on battery life yet but works well with the app
The battery is poor compared to BT and Vava monitors – both of which broke however! The WiFi feature is good for old stone houses with poor monitor range and it was easy to set up
