Surprisingly well built for such a low cost WiFi/Bluetooth card. Nice black design with a illuminated Red WiFi symbol. With a tempered glass side panel case. It helps that it looks good.
This installed o problem.just 1 screw done and fitted plugged cable in to item and motherboard Bluetooth sorted.I did what was advised by downloading the drivers first from intel to get latest ones.its all running fast no problems.my advice but i
I found this fiddly to install, it took two attempts and currently the screws are not in the bracket, although the antenna keep it anchored in place. This is not so much an issue with the card, but rather the non-standard cube shaped case of the 8 year old, hand-me-down PC I put it in. CD was useless, not having a CD drive, I tried running it in my external DVD blueray drive, but it wouldn’t fit. Fortunately I could run a network cable to the machine temporarily in order to download the intel driver, after which the machine recognized the card and it started working as intended. Internet is stable and downloads/uploads at similar speeds to the wired cable. I should note that it is a very small flat, the router is in the next room, approximately 3 meters away, although the dividing wall is solid brick, not plasterboard.
Been using this device for a month. The WiFi is flawless, always get 260 Mbps without issues on 5 Hz network, but you may need better antennas though (with default antennas I was getting about 80 Mbps).
The Bluetooth also worked for couple of weeks, but now it’s keeping disconnecting when doing high power demanding tasks. I tried everything from reinstalling intel drivers to clean installing windows, nothing helped. Seems to be either a device malfunction, or intel/windows bad power management.
So, I’m kinda in the limbo now: can’t return the item because I need the access to the internet and this product was awesome on this part. On the other hand, can’t use the Bluetooth, which is also very important to me. The partial refund would solve my dissatisfaction (to order additional usb adaptor), but as far as I know it’s not possible on Amazon.
So would give 4/5 for WiFi (because of the small antennas) and 1/5 for Bluetooth= 2.5/5 overall.
P.S. now the Bluetooth functionality completely gone.
P.P.S it seems, that there were no issues with the card itself, but rather with the AMD 5000-G Ryzen series and PCIE bandwidth, when GPU is added. After updating to the new CPU, everything works fine. So, I’ll give 2 stars back. Soild 4/5. Would give 5/5 for the better antennas.
The WiFi strength is great, i get my full speed potential with it. I had a more expensive Asus WiFi card before and that worked perfectly but it did not have bluetooth built in. The bluetooth range on this card could be better in my opinion as i had a cheap bluetooth dongle that had much better range. Overall i’m happy with this but i had to connect my old WiFi card to download the drivers as my windows 10 PC did not automatically install the drivers needed to run the WiFi and bluetooth and i do not have a CD drive in my PC (who does in this day and age)
I’m with an internet provider on their 450Mbps package and was previously using a D-Link DHV-600AV PowerLine Ethernet adaptor. This should be capable of up to 600Mbps, however I was getting no more than 180Mbps down and 70Mbps up.
Since switching to this WiFi card I get an average of 350Mbps down and 90Mbps up, much better! Plus the ping is a few milliseconds faster (8-10ms vs 11-12ms), which is a nice bonus.
Will happily recommend this product, especially for its price. I’ve already bought one for the missus’ PC to switch her off of PowerLine.
I bought this to install in a desktop pc so that I would not have to use an ethernet cable all of the time, and I wanted the latest wifi technology for “future proofing”
Performance:
.Wifi signal strength is great
.Getting 500mbps of file transfer speed on a wifi 5 network which is very good
I only have wifi 5. Expect more speed on a wifi 6 or 6e network
The build quality was really good, and previously i have had good experiences with intel wifi chipsets hence why I bought this.
Installation was very easy, just go to intel’s website to get the driver
Overall I would recommend this adapter to anyone who wants a pcie adapter with the latest current wifi standard wifi 6e
Couldn’t ask for better for the WiFi. We went from 20-50mbps (using a cheap USB WiFi adapter) to 180-200mbps on a 200mbps line. Honestly couldn’t believe the improvement. Our router is on the ground floor and this card went into a pc on the third floor of our house. Easy to install (watched a YouTube video) but the Bluetooth connector came with either the wrong connecting block attached to itor our pc has the wrong connecting pins as there was no way it was going to work so I didn’t connect it at all, and so I can’t comment on the Bluetooth, but that’s not why I bought it in the first place. Watch a video on YouTube about this card by (@Mike’s unboxing, reviews and how to) as he provides an unbiased and comprehensive review and installation guide to this card.
Oh also go to Intel and download their drivers for the card. Good luck
I got this for the Bluetooth so as to game linked to a TV in a another room. I had a usb adapter before and it was naff kept dropping out and was quite laggy. This fixed that
I only rated down ease of installation as you’ll need some knolage of pc building to install with confidence, (not that a practical person with out knolage couldnt figure it out… Good luck asking your mum tho)
it’s also NOT plug and play. you need an internet connection to down load the driver. in the very likely situation you don’t have a CD drive. This could be a pain if you are going to be reliant on the product for a internet connection with out a temporary alternative just to get the driver downloaded and installed.
That all being said your probably not going to be looking for this if you have no idea of how to fit a pci device and most people will have the ability to run a cable down the stairs or set the computer up next to a router. Would be nice for a usb OPTION for a slight bump in price
Bought this as I was building a pc for games and school work.
I’ve owned this product for a month and nothing has gone wrong so far. Even when I installed it I didn’t really have to install those drivers as it worked just fine without them.
As far as the cable connection I had a few troubles when I first turned the Pc on with it disconnecting for a while but was easily fixed by disconnecting from wifi and reconnecting. The Bluetooth works fine and I’m able to connect it to my headphones when needed.
I was slightly skeptical when looking through the some of the reviews and I don’t know if it’s just me but I think that every motherboard has a wifi card that fits in the with motherboard manufacturer, in this case mine was a AX210.
So i have have this card for a little while now and it seems to be working fine. Initially it wasnt working as fast as i expected, but after an update of BIOS, and the chipset drivers for the motherboard, the card behaved correctly.
the antennas are pretty decent, but make sure, by using Wifi Analyser (or something similar) to see what signals your card is picking up and their strengths, you may also need to change wifi channels of your router so that it doesnt interfere with the wifi signal of your neighbours or other 2.4g or 5g equipment in the area
Many people had a gripe about the bluettooth not working, ive had another card with the same WIFI and BT chips on it, and BT wont work properly or at all, if you dont install it correctly.
windows will attempt to install its own driver immediately after finding the card, and thats what we dont want. Packaged is the intel driver for THEIR chipset. First install the drivers, then the card, when you turn your machine on, go to device manager and check the drivers for BT enumerator and also the wireless intel 9560, check the driver tab in the properties of both and make sure its not microsoft driver signed by microsoft. If it is, then click uninstall driver, in the dialogue box check the box that says ‘delete driver’. then ‘scan for changes’ from the main dev man window, it should then apply the intel drivers for wifi and the BT driver – if you still have issues, manually install the driver.
The issue isnt the card, its microsoft – it tries to force its own generic driver, and usually does it, the card does not like the generic driver at all and the BT wont function properly if at all with it – it specifically works only with the supplied version of the intel driver, which may have to be ‘forced’ on using ‘have disk’ at driver install stage
Overall, an excellent product that does what it says, using a reliable intel chip to deliver the specs in the real world – why pay massive amounts for cards made my netgear/dlink etc, this will do the job more than adequately
Built a new desktop PC and needed a WiFi card as stretching a cable from the router was not an option. My top requirement was that the card needs to be compatible with Linux which means the only real choice was an Intel chipset based card. I recently upgraded to fiber based broadband so splurged a little and went for one of the new AX200 based cards.
The product package contains everything you’ll need to get up and running including a screwdriver. The only issue was the really short BT cable. You can see in the attached photo how I barely got it past my GPU. The card comes with 2 antennas which screwed on without issue.
Other than that, the system booted up into Linux (Ubuntu 20.04) and the WiFi card was detected with the native drivers, with no additional installation steps required. On Windows, I had to tether the PC to my phone to allow Windows to automatically download the Intel AX 200 drivers.
WiFi range is excellent, haven’t had a chance to test BT range as my primary usecase is to connect my headset, but will be testing that as multiple reviewers here have complained about it.
Download speeds are excellent so far. Tested by downloading from Steam and got speeds of upto 65 MB/s ! Haven’t tested local LAN transfers to check upper bounds of performance.
Cons:
* The bluetooth cable is comically short.
* This is essentially a PCIe host card for the Intel Wifi chipset. Some manufacturers of similar cards don’t solder in the device and you can take out the card if needed. This one does not seem user accessible which is a shame since one might need to reuse the card inside for a laptop in the future for instance. I realize it’s too much to ask for in a cheap device like this, but would’ve been a nice-to-have feature.
Not many of these have WIFI 6, so I was intrigued when I found one with this feature for such a price. It of course is not perfect.
For those considering buying this, please note the following. Bluetooth functionality requires the use of a USB header, therefore if you have none free, then expect to give up one, of spend more on a hub. You should also be prepared to buy an antenna (depends on your case). For example, my case is very close to the wall and is horizontal. Therefore for me, the two antennas that are included (low quality anyway) clash and since there is low clearance, the performance of the card is not the best it could be.
Additionally, I’m not sure if this is a usual problem with these cards or not but in order to maintain a steady connection, it required a few days of use. After then it was fairly steady. Until then, I would have dips in speed and reliability. But it is now very reliable and fast.
The Bluetooth is surprisingly good. I can keep the bluetooth audio running through a couple walls for quite a distance. It connects really easily. So for the bluetooth I am 100% content.
The software and the instructions were fairly vague however. Firstly, there were many grammar mistakes in the instructions that leads one to question how reliable the card is, with a couple contradicting information from the Japanese on one side and the English on the other (I can read both). Secondly, the software. The software and drivers came on a compact disk (CD). However most PCs dont use CD readers anymore so they included a QR code. But this QR code rather than linking to the driver download, linked to the company website. So when installing, be prepared to dig around the website a bit. This may have just been an issue for me, but downloading the drivers too a good 15 minutes for only ~30MBs.
CAUTION: Linked on the website is also a download to a driver tool, which scans your PC for drivers and attempts to install them. This is a dangerous technique and should not be used. Use the separate downloads. Bluetooth drivers must be installed before it can be used.
EDIT: For those looking for the drivers, please note that I had about a 3x increase in down and upload speeds by installing official intel drivers for the INTEL AX200 chip.
I had recently got into using a desktop PC for gaming and everyday over a laptop and like many others I see in the reviews, I wanted an alternative to a USB adapter (as my MB didn’t have a CNVI WiFi M2 slot) both in terms of aesthetics and the overall performance benefit of having directional antennae.
I shopped around before purchasing the item, and even the cheapest PCIE cards, which were WiFi N, not AC (or in this case AX!) were at least 40. Undoubtedly one may initially think that there is security in buying a brand, but in my experience with purchasing other PC components – buying well known doesn’t (always) mean buying well made. Add in the buyer-protection of Amazon prime and this purchase was definitely an easy one!
Ziyituod offers a few different models, some with Wifi AC, but I decided to purchase the WiFi 6 “AX200” model thinking that, despite being overkill, at least I’d have some future-proofing. I was not disappointed.
Installation was as easy as any other PCIE card can be. Simply slot the card in, screw the antennae on the external side and you should be good to go (a card-to-USB2.0 MB slot cable is provided if you want to use the added Bluetooth 5.0, but I didn’t have a spare slot so I purchased a cheap splitter cable for the motherboard which works fine). Windows 10 automatically detected the adapter and I didn’t require the installation of any software, though a QR code is provided to take you to the site to download it if you so wish).
The final noteworthy point to add is that the card has a metal heatsink over the WiFi module which is roughly 1cm deep. I’m glad to see this included as it provides longevity for the product (WiFi adapters aren’t infernos by any stretch, but lots of intensive use can see them heat up).
The whole experience was easy, beneficial to my PC and all came at a price just shy of 24. For that much more agreeable sum than almost all retailers, you have reliable performance, ease-of-use and futureproofing for the new WiFi standard when(ever) it becomes available!
Solidly recommend!
I bought this card because it sports the Intel AX210 chipset as well as Bluetooth 5.2. Great specs on paper but does it deliver where it counts?
TLDR: Yes it does.
Wifi performance is excellent. My router is on a different floor to my PC. on 5Ghz, I get a stable 77Mb/s connection over Wifi where the max achievable via Ethernet is 78.5Mb/s. Best of all the connection is extremely stable.
Bluetooth performance is a quantum leap over what I had previously. I can now listen to music from my computer through my bluetooth headphones in every room of my house with no audio stutter whatsoever.
First impressions
1. Nice packaging. Boxed well, all the components are included, even a small screw driver for fitting. Initially I was going to use my own, but I couldn’t be bothered to find my tools so the inclusion ended being a welcome convenience.
2. The card itself looks good. The red heat sink looks nice, the paint finish is good, the red LED on the card illuminating the logo looks quite good I think. The build quality feels good. A solid little card.
Physical Installation
3. Physical installation is easy. Plugged into the PCIE-1 smoothly. For bluetooth, a USB header must be free on your motherboard: connect the card to the header with the included wire. Very straightforward.
Software Installation
4. This was not plug and play for me. Neither Bluetooth or Wifi Adaptor were recognised by Device Manager on Windows 10 after booting. Windows 10’s automatically find drivers option did not work either. In my case, I downloaded and installed the official Intel drivers. Once installed, both the Bluetooth and WiFi adaptors were recognised and I was good to go.
N.B. There is an included CD but I no longer use physical media so I got the official AX210 driver package from Intels website. (https://www.intel.co.uk/content/www/uk/en/products/sku/204836/intel-wifi-6e-ax210-gig/downloads.html). I made sure to download the driver before I installed the new card as it replaces a prior Wifi card and I wouldn’t be able to download the drivers at that point. Naturally, I installed the new drivers only after the new card was installed.
Peformance
5. Bluetooth 5.2 is a revelation. I’ve had 4.0, 4.2 USB adaptors, and 5.1 in a prior PCI-E Card. The performance of Bluetooth on this is the best yet. Instant device recognition, quick pairing, strong stable connection and fantastic range. My bluetooth headphones, which I could only use within the room of my PC previously can now be used in every corner of both floors of my house, with no audio stutter and cutting out. It’s a huge quality of life improvement.
6. Wifi 6e is strong and stable. Better than the performance of the AX200 version of this card I bought 2 years back (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07Z1W8Y16/) in terms of wifi stability, but no discernable improvement in maximum speed achieved.
Overall, an excellent product. The bluetooth is fantastic, and the Wifi is fast, strong and stable. Does exactly what I need it to.
I only bought this for the 5g functionality, I wasn’t thinking of getting Bluetooth. This card was cheaper and hihger rated than some others, and came with the Bluetooth and 2.4g backwards compatibility, so i thought I’d give it a shot. I’m not disappointed.
The card slotted in easily, and came with a low profile bracket and screwdriver to aid in fitting. The card functions brilliantly, with it’s 5g option giving me over 10 times the speeds I got with my previous 2.4g connectivity. For completeness, I tested the 2.4g functionality, and even that was giving me about 5 times the speed. So even with a 2.4g network (if you are unlucky enough to be lumbered with it) it might be worth a try.
As for the Bluetooth function, this is facilitated by a small provided cable, that plugs into the easily identified connector on this card, and any available USB header on your computer’s motherboard. This header is simply a small cluster of pins protruding from the motherboard. Most motherboards manufactured in the last decade have these little headers. It’s simply a case of looking inside the computer and finding one spare. The cable only connects one way, and each end only fits it’s respective connector one way round, so you really can’t go wrong unless you don’t have a spare USB header. This is a neat and more secure solution to the alternative, which is a dongle that you plug into the computer case, which can get easily knocked out.
Overall, I’d recommend this card to anyone who is looking to either go wireless, or needs to replace their existing wireless connectivity just on the network performance alone. The added Bluetooth functionality thrown in for no extra cost makes this exceptionally great value for money.
(edit)
Now, after a few months, I seem to be getting randomly disconnected when using 5g. It is definitely this card’s 5g with problems, as the PC and router can still communicate with 2.4g and other devices on 5g are fine with the router, also. Naturally, this is after the return window has closed, but I’m not sure I’d even bother returning anyway. It’s not like the card broke the bank, and the postage would cost more than the replacement in all probability. Plus, you get what you pay for, and the 2.4 works as it always did. I stand by my original review (Great value for money), but have knocked down the rating from 5 stars to 4.
