This is an extremely well made device and I’m.deligyted with the purchase.
This will probably last a lifetime as opposed to the other thin handled grips or plastic ones
Although I have not yet used this corkscrew, on examination I find it well made and just as I expected although I am unable to complete the full star markings regarding sturdiness, ease of use, and durability. It arrived very quickly and perfectly packed and I have no reason to think that it will not perform well.
Very pleased with this , used it for the first time tonight and it removed the cork effortlessly. Just what I wanted. The delivery was very fast and the box was very well packaged.
Thank you , would definitely recommend company and corkscrew.
The corkscrew takes an element of pushing to get it to engage with the cork and it can go in at a bit of an angle. Once in, it turns quite well and is inclined to push a flap of cork out at the bottom. Pushing the arms down to extract the cork is quite straightforward but it can wobble a bit off the vertical.
Possibly not the implement for your bottle of 1947 port with a fragile cork which could disintegrate into a very expensive wine, but plenty good enough for the standard supermarket bottle.
