I bought 2 of them. The one im using having false signals sometime but second one is flawless.
Easy to install and work very well. Very impressed with them
Easy installation, works very well.
I put the monitor in my rear window as it’s a convertible, so it can be seen through rear view mirror, then put sensors in the opposite connection sockets so it shows left and right through mirror.
Accurate and loud enough to be used safely.
Would recommend.
Instructions are useless but you can work it out quite quickly. Handy drill bit included to drill holes for sensors. Good item works well.
Installed on my mitsubishi colt with no issues. Drill bit was very precise and the sensors fit in very snug, easy to wire up and put the beeper away behind the glove box
These sensors work perfectly. I got a mechanic friend to fit them because I didn’t like the idea of pulling this apart and drilling to fit them. My guy used the drill bit supplied. They work very well so far but the only issue is two of them don’t sit flush with the bumper. Not sure if it’s the sensors or my guy fitting them. As I said, we used th3 supplied drill bit but 2 of the sensors stick out from the bumper by about 2mm. Tried to push them flush with the bumper but the small rubber edge on the sensors won’t stay in place. Would I buy again? Yes.
I was a bit dubious about this but decided that as the price was great I’d give them a go. Installation required a bit of thought as the cables for there sensors are not as long as I’d have liked. I decided to break into the reversing light loom to get the power to the main box. Fitting the sensors was relatively easy and the supplied 22mm hole cutter was actually surprisingly good. I didn’t need to file the holes larger and the sensors fitted very well. There is a legend on the rear of the sensors that says “up” so they are installed the right way up.
The cable for the display is very long so I installed the control box and sensors in the boot and then ran the long display cable to the dashboard.
Took me half a day in all but that’s more because I’m cracking on in age and as an engineer, I wanted a god and reliable install.
It’s not mentioned in the kit but the dashboard display has a tiny speaker in it to emit the beeps. It is also surprisingly effective !!
Overall this is an great little unit in my view at the price point and I’m now very happy with the end resul
Keep monitor at right of dash tk give more wire length. Transit custom lwb
he quality of the sensor is perfect, but the cable is bit too short , better check the length of car before purchase.
These parking sensors are simple and seem to be reasonable quality for the price but unfortunately after fully installing them I found 1 sensor not to be detecting anything at all, I tried to move it to different ports with no luck. As I was foolish enough to fully fit before install it is not worth my time take all off to send back for a replacement as it seems to function with one not working but obviously this creates a bit of a blind spot which I put in the middle as it seemed best. Hopefully the seller can see this as I would be giving 5 star review if all was working as just the 3 is massive help with parking but unfortunately there seems no direct contact just return and replace or refund. I would still recommend these to anyone wanting a cheap solution to difficulty parking just make sure to check all sensors before drilling. 😉
Works as well as one could hope, has definitely paid for itself several times over with the amount of tall kerbs and low bollards that would have dented the rear bumper.
Ease of installation gets five stars but that doesn’t mean it’s simple, it just means its doable with the right tools and free of any any unnecessary complications.
Nice to fit took about 4 hours
A slight delay of information from sensor to display but not really an issue
I recommend filling the edge of the holes smooth and twist the sensor as you insert the sensor into the hole for a snug flush fi
Absolutely amazing! Originally thought the guage part was missing but it was wrapped up in all the wires. I fitted these my self to a 2007 ford fiesta. The drill bit is perfect size and had no problems at all. Only thing that is worth mentioning, be very careful unplugging the sensors from the box as it doesn’t appear to be of amazing quality but considering the price, it’s perfec
Fitted to Nissan Cube. Easy install and seems accurate. The fact it came with its own hole maker means you know you can be confident the sensors will fit and you have no filing to do. Altogether pleased with this after market kit. Only time will now tell how reliable it will be
Care needed when drilling sensor locating holes. You need some basic wiring knowledge to hook into reverse light power. I found the job challenging and satisfying and the sensors work very accurately. I fitted my display to the headlining above the rear seats to prevent having to send the wires to the front. It’s easy to see the display from the rear view mirror. Brilliant product! Once you have thought it through. I would say it was only suitable for someone who knows a bit about their car and how they work.
Arrived next day with Prime, fitted today Fri 29th Oct 2021 and all seems to be ok. Probably took about half of my day if you take away the Tea Breaks! The only problem I found was that the sensors wouldn’t click into place on the bumper, I cut away the rubber sealing lugs on the sensor bodies and glued them in place using a glue gun on the inside of the bumper. I also gave them a thin coat of paint and laquer to match my car colour and all seams to be working fine. Routing of cables is probably the most time consuming part, I fitted the monitor by my rear view mirror with all cables out of sight. Early days but here’s hoping…
It was an easy installation and everything works fine, I didn’t put an 5stars in accuracy because I have noticed an small lag in showing the distance.
Because of that lag I must really reverse the car in an slower way than the normal or the monitor doesn’t show the distance quite fast enough.
I’m usually sceptical of cheap online electronics but this is actually a good product. Was tricky to install in my Ford Transit (short wheel base) but gives accurate distance readings and I’ve trusted it for several months to give me a lot more confidence parking in the city. The wire for the display screen is long but only just makes it in my van so might not be suitable for anything longer. I do get some false bleeps on sloped surfaces but that’s because of the design of the van with a low bumper. I actually broke this by accident when the wires got caught in an angle grinder but I will be buying exactly the same again. It’s not in the instructions but you can open up the display screen housing and turn it upside down to mount on the ceiling (e.g. where a rear view mirror might normally go).
I was really excited to fit this into my lads car. Went through all the painful business of feeding cables under carpets from display to main unit in boot. Carefully measured and fitted sensors routed and bundled cables etc. Neat job, however after powering up via reversing light circuit I found that there was a sparodic beeping and flashing. Narrowed it down to a possible faulty sensor (#2 in this instance, or main box maybe) anyway I am annoyed that if I want a new one or refund I have to send the sucker back. Wasted a fair few hours fitting it properly too
So, after all the initial excitement I’m not too happy at the moment.
I bought this after my wife revealed that she had a passion for reversing into parked BMW’s, at great expense to my NCB. The colour matches my 2013 Honda Jazz almost perfectly and once fitted they look like they were fitted at the factory. They take a little technical know how to fit as the power supply comes from the reverse light of the car so you usually end up having to do a bit of light wire stripping. Other than that the most nerve racking part is drilling holes into your bumper to fit the sensors. Once all of that is sorted though it all plugs in very easily and works straight away without any set up. I tested the accuracy and it is very close to what it claims so I happy with that. The audible beep and visual indication have long wires so that they can be run up to the dash board where they can be seen and heard but I left them in the boot as the beeper is more than loud enough to hear and I didn’t feel like tuck the wires away behind all of the trim. All in all an excellent product which hopefully for a small out lay and a couple of hours fitting time will save me some headaches in the future.
The hole cutter is a little flimsy and not very sharp (would only be ok for 4 sensors) But what do you expect for the money.
Red ones nearly the same colour as this New Honda Jazz.
Easy to fit – 2 wires to the control unit – Red to reverse light live wire at back of light cluster & the Black to Earth. 4 wires for (one for each sensor) plugs into control unit. The display cable is long enough to run the full length of a large car and put the display up by the windscreen (bleeper inside display) or on top of the rear view mirror. Im adept at fitting these so only took a steady 1.5hrs.
Works perfect though. Bargain!
