We got this for our 9 month old for Christmas and he loves it. Their are a variety of shapes and they are an appropriate size for babies. A lot of the other cubes like this have smaller shapes and I would not feel safe with those. The shapes also make noise when you shake them which is an added bonus. He can push and pull them through the single sided stretchy side, and is starting to be able to get them through the double sided stretchy side, improving his fine motor development and grasping skills, plus it offers the option to put them through the matching shape hole when he gets older.

Ganz toller Wrfel.

This toy comes in a box that looks like a wrapped gift, that is so great at already catching children’s attention. It’s a good entertaining toy for kids, more entertaining than i thought it would be. The colors are bright with fun little wooden shapes that have rattles in them. Older children can sort the shapes into the puzzle but my toddler (too young) enjoyed the rattle shaped blocks and the colorful bands that stretch on the square carry case. The bands on the square holding box is amazing entertainment for young toddlers keeps them busy and occupied.

Our 8 month old loves pulling the shapes out of the middle of the big block. She’s not quite to the sorting stage yet, but this toy is built well and will still be around when she starts learning that as well.

I bought this for my friend’s son who just turned 2 years old. He enjoys throwing the blocks around the most, though with supervision he can match the shapes. It seems to be pretty sturdy and the blocks are easy for him to grasp and manipulate.

If you just want your kid to have a shape sorter, buy the cheap plastic ones with lids instead. They tend to be more forgiving. These slots are somewhat tight, so if the shape is inserted at an angle, it’ll easily get stuck. You won’t notice this as an adult, but little kids are a lot goofier.
The blocks themselves are awesome. They have a decent heft. Several of them rattle. And they’re the perfect size for infants–too big to fit in mouths, but small enough to be grasped. My kid doesn’t understand shapes yet, but these are his favorite blocks to stack and knock down.
So far, the cube and blocks have survived half a year of pretty rough use!

I love how there are different sides to this for different experiences for your baby depending on their level of development, so you get plenty of use out of it. My son has first enjoyed learning how to get his hands through the strings to retrieve the blocks as he’s not yet old enough to be working out which block goes in which hole. It’s really well made and seems very durable.

The quality feels great but ours is missing the square hole. It came with an extra hexagon hole! We manage to fit the square in through another hole so it’s fine, just doesn’t match the pictures on the listing.

I really like this wooden toy as I much prefer this style to all the garish plastic you tend to see with kids toys nowadays. It has lots of different little activities on each side which are great for little fingers to explore and get to grips with shapes, colours, etc.

The Wooden Shape Sorter Cube is a fantastic Montessori educational toy set for 1 year olds. The 8 colorful multisensory shapes provide a fun and interactive way for babies to learn shapes, colors, and improve their hand-eye coordination. The cube is made of high-quality wood and is durable enough to withstand rough play. The only downside is that the lid can be difficult to remove for younger babies. Overall, this toy is a great value and provides endless hours of fun and educational play for babies between 6-12-18 months old. It makes a perfect gift for any baby girl or boy.

I love wooden toys as they are so much more traditional and last a lot longer than the plastic equivalent.

This is a well made wooden sorting toy.

The cube has bright elastic strips on 4 sides where the different wooden shapes can be pushed in and pulled out, a simple activity but one that toddlers really enjoy doing.

The other 2 sides are wooden with different shaped holes. There are colourful wooden blocks that need to be matched to the holes.

The wood is smooth with no rough edges.

This is a really lovely toddler toy that is well made and the cube doubles up as a storage container for the different coloured shapes.
However I’ve deducted a star from the review as I feel its a little bit expensive, RRP is 24.99, even with the 15% off voucher its still over 21.

A cracker of a toy for a toddler. At 25 this is perhaps a bit pricey for some but it is really well made from wood with elasticated laces so you can get your hand in easily to retrieve the shapes. Comes with 8 different brightly coloured wooden blocks to slot through the correct holes. I feel this toy will last and with the bright colours will be attractive to kids.

    Hope this helps

My 3 year old son thinks this is brilliant, and because its made of durable wood, it’ll last a long time.

With rounded edges and smooth finish its perfect for the smaller ones too!

5* shape sorter. The set comes with 8 colourful shapes that have rounded edges and a gentle rattle. They are a good size for little ones hands and great for motor skills and hand-eye coordination to push through the corresponding shape or through the elastic bands. The elastic on the sides of the box are a fun way to put shapes in and out. 4 bands on one side and 8 on another means they can choose how easy or difficult it is. Also, its nice to be able to see inside the box.
The box is nice and light yet very sturdy. I love wooden products and this is extremely well made.
It arrives in a nice box, decorated like a present.

I prefer strongly made wooden toys for my little one and this one is great. It holds together well and is strong and durable enough to withstand the battering my kid gives it without any signs of damage or wear.
I think toys like these are essential to development and a grasp on the basic understanding of spatial awareness and really help to bring on development with hand-eye coordination. My little one will spend ages putting the shapes through the spaces and has even more fun as she grows as she can adapt how she plays.
The blocks are bright and colourful and super easy to clean which is important with kids toys and the elastic straps are great as it is just as much of a puzzle getting the pieces back out as it is to slot them in so it doubles the fun and keep them concentrating for twice as long!
Brilliant overall for anyone with little ones and it’s a great interactive toy that will grow with them, I’d highly recommend it.

This is a beautiful activity cube. I really like that it is made of wood as it looks nicer and should be more durable than plastic.
This cube comes with 8 different shapes which can be placed inside the cube either through the corresponding shape or through the coloured elastic bands.
A nice aspect is that the toddler can actually see and reach the shapes inside. As all the shapes can fit inside the cube, this toy does not take much space when stored and can be kept tidy.
Our toddler really enjoys playing with it.

This is a great product for babies as it can help them learn lots of different skills. It is made out of wood which I think would last loads longer than plastic. It comes with 8 different shapes and they are all painted in different colours, so it is great to help babies and toddlers learn the different shape and colour names. If you thought that this is good then this makes it even better. Within the middle of the shapes is a set of beads which gives it an extra sensory experience for the babies and toddlers. The shapes can be slotted into the correct holes to learn shape recognition and learning the names of the shapes and colours can help with language development. It also comes in a cute gift box for if you wanted to gift it to someone for Christmas or a birthday. Overall I definitely recommend this product and it’s much better quality than the plastic ones.

This is a sturdy wooden cube that comes with eight wooden geometrical shaped pieces. The eight pieces are all different shapes and colours and are hollow with something inside so when you shake them, they rattle.
Two of the sides of the cube are solid wood with holes cut out to match each of the shapes so little ones can explore and experiment matching and ‘posting’ the different shapes into the correct holes. The other sides of the cube are open but have cords of coloured elastic across them; some straight lines, some crisscrossed. The toddler can experiment with squeezing the shapes through the gaps between the elastic, or putting their hands through to grab the shapes and pull them out again. All simple but fun things for young ones to experiment and practice at.
The toy is constructed of solid, chunky wood with smooth surfaces and bright painted colours. Once all the shaped pieces are inside the cube, it can be tidily stored away. It feels sturdy and, being made of wood, it gives it that little bit of class.

I did not expect this sorting cube to look like this so I was really impressed when I took it out of the box.
I don’t know if the pictures do it justice, but it’s made of really thick and sturdy wood. It feels like something that can be used for many years. The shapes are pretty large in size and they all rattle.

They fit really well in the holes and the elasticated sides make it really fun and interesting for kids. Really happy with this purchase.

I know this is supposed to be for small babies but i kid you knot, even my older sun enjoys playing with this. Must be some sort of therapeutic effect. This is well made but does have some scratches on paint. It’s not peeling. Always prefer wooden toys for my children. Came nicely packed in gift box so would be a nice present.

This is a really lovely wooden toy. It’s built well with good quality materials. And packed in a nicely designed gift box. My sister loves wooden toys for her baby girl so she will be delighted with this. Each of the 8 wooden shapes rattle so it’s a three in one toy! The colours are vibrant. I particularly liked the way babies can use the elasticated strings to place the shapes into if they are not well adapted to putting them through the shaped holes. Lovely quality and finishes, I’m excited to give this as a gift.

I got this for my godson. It is a nice and simple toy that would help him to identify shapes and colours. Each shape is smooth and I like the rattling sound of it. I am just a bit worried that he grabs the whole box and tries to throw it somehow because it’s light and sturdy. I recommend the product overall.

I have seen and ordered these in plastic, but I really do think we should all be moving away from plastic. Lovely to see one of these in wood. This comes with 8 shapes, each shape has a set of beads somewhere in the middle so you get an extra sensory experience during play. The rattle is subtle so not annoying to hear in the background.

The shapes are all painted a different colour, so you can teach shape and colour. Increasing language development.

They can be slotted into the holes for shape recognition, like a vertical puzzle or poked through the variety of strings. The bands come in two versions, one will be harder to push the shapes through than the other and this will strengthen little hands for life skills to come – like writing, feeding themselves.

You need big motor skills first, then small motor skills …

The wooden edges are rounded and the item is not just glued, there are a couple of screws on each corner, to use a technical term they have been countersunk, so they are not sticking out in anyway.

It comes in a gift box, so this is a very exceptionally giftable item.

I really liked this toy. Much better than the plastic versions, try to go for the wooden version if you can afford it!

This shape sorter toy is a high quality wooden baby toy, perfect for a baby from 12 months onwards. The wooden frame feels sturdy and solid as do the different selection of wooden shapes. The wooden shapes also rattle so this really is a great toy to appeal to different senses. The toy is a good size and also comes in lovely packaging so would be lovely as a first birthday or Christmas gift.

My first memories of playing with toys has been with wooden toys. They are still as popular as ever, and this is testament to their basic materials, which are made to last compared to plastic. This is no different and will last the test of time and make great toys to hand down. Given the smooth exterior, they are easy to wipe clean, and the toy itself plays on the old fit the shape in the hole adage that never loses favour. Always happy to receive these types of toys

My little one loves shape sorting so I ordered this for him. It’s good because there’s different options depending on the skill set of your child.

There is the shape cut out, or there are elasticated straight bands and criss crossed bands for fun ways to push the shapes through.

The shapes are a good solid weight and even make a rattle noice.

It’s nice and bright colours. The wooden edges are nicely rounded. It even comes in a nice gift box for giving it as a present!

I do much prefer wooden toys over plastic ones. This one had some really nice painted shapes, with lots of inventive shapes for my son to learn. The coloured ropes are elastic and have enough give in them that both my son and I can easily get the shapes in and out. The cube makes a good storage box when the toys aren’t being played with tools
All the corners have been sanded down so there are no sharp bits, and the wood is smooth toy.
Overall a good quality toy, that’s been great for teaching shapes and colours to my son.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautifully made, great for learning!
