This is pretty simple in itself but I love how it engaged my children were playing with this and how easily it got them using their imagination. The idea behind the toy/game is that you shake it to get a prompt via a sound. Then come up with a story with that sound. There are over 150 different sounds included so there is a good amount of variety every time you shake.
My children had a lot of fun creating stories and some of them became really interesting depending on the next sound they heard.
Overall I love the creativity aspect to this toy but it is a little on the expensive side for what it actually does. However it really does boost imagination and there is a real fun aspect to it!
There’s 2 different settings for noises, 1 is sounds that children ages 4-6 will recognise and 2 is for the whole family.
It’s great for encouraging children to use their imagination to create a story around the noises they hear. We’ve had some hilarious ones including an alien invasion that led to the police falling into horse poop and attending the ballet.
Quick and easy fun! I do think it is a little pricey for what is essentially a piece of plastic playing sounds you could find on youtube.
Would be great for Christmas or family game nights
You have to be quick to press the answer. Grandchildren can beat us. When my husband played it with them and he was too slow on the buzzer at the end the game said to him – are you sleeping player no 3. Of course kids thought this was hilarious!
