Was thrilled when first opened the box , then realized there were no written instruction only a diagram with feint lines on side of box. Took three adults over an hour to work out how to use it.
In its favour, it is very pretty and clear coulrs ideal to lull chuldren to sleep, but for an eldery person it is hard to retain the working systom. I would not buy again.
The Prime delivery driver left parcel on table ,inside lower level of building AND DID NOT hand directly to resident, even though that was the written deliveryreport on the tracker record. The elderly recipient spent two hours looking for it. would not recommend PRime delivery

I brought two of these, one each for my parents and the light is just amazing, the colours are beautifully lit and are not in your eyes. At night the provide perfect vision with still leaving the room dark with just enough vision. I’ll be getting some more as gifts. The charge lasts quite a while so no issues there.

Absolutely love it! Charged it once a week ago and use it after the overhead lights are turned off until I’m ready to sleep, and can carry it to the bathroom to light the way. Buying another, and honestly considering buying one for every room.

BEST THING ABOUT THIS ITEM FOR ME IS THE RADIO AND BLUE TOOTH / AUX IN FUNCTION ( N.B. IT ALSO HAS A MICRO SD CARD SLOT ) , THE DIFFERENT COLOURS ON THE LIGHT ARE GOOD

Really good lamp and speaker, goes quite loud and the sound quality is better than I’d expect. Love the light functions and it’s great for indoor use or in a tent camping. My only slight criticism is how long it stays powered when not plugged i

Given the 25 price tag, nobody will mistake this for a high-end speaker, but for the price it’s not bad at all. The sound reproduction is good enough for background music and works well with spoken word options, but for serious music appreciation you need to look elsewhere. Connection and all controls are really easy to understand. As a light, it works as a night light or for ambient light, but not good enough to read by in a darkened room. Colour variation is also good enough to appeal to the fussiest user.

My eldest son (12) is always late getting up for school, so having an alarm clock is an absolute must in our house. This works great, he can have it next to his bed and it has a nice nightlight for those kids who are still a bit freaked out in the dark.

Easy enough to set up, my son managed it all without any input from me. We’ve had some basic alarm clocks that were more difficult to be honest!

Holds charge for quite a while, he charges it every few days and then just has it on his bed.

Price is a bit steep (22.99 at time of my review), I don’t think I would have paid that for this clock to be honest. It does play music as well, but it’s not something my son uses on it. I don’t think the current price is good value for money, so I knocked a star off.

Over all though it’s not a bad alarm clock, the light is nice and bright, it’s easy to set up and the battery holds for a decent length of time. So on that basis I would recommend.

This light is a lovely bedside light that my son is using in his new room. It combines a speaker for him to stream his music or listen to the integrated FM radio, an alarm and a soft glow, colour changing light. It is the perfect size- small enough to be unobtrusive but bright enough to allow him to read in bed or give enough light to use the toilet at night. It is easy to set a 20, 40 or 60 minute timer to allow him to read before going to sleep. You can select white light (varying brightness/warmess) or coloured light (varying light colours/cycle through or cycle with music).

The small digital clock display is easy to set, and so is the alarm (using a long press of the clock button). Pressing any button will turn off the alarm, however there is no snooze function. All the control buttons are on the base so you do have to lift the device up. The speaker is on top of the light and also acts as the on/off button for the light and to turn the alarm off.

It paired easily with his tablet to play music and also has a card slot so he can play his favourite songs without the tablet on. It can also be used for handsfree calls apparently but we haven’t tested this.
Its rechargeable so can be used plugged in or not. We have it plugged in permanently but were disappointed that it was a micro USB socket not a USB C which is much more common these days. It came with a USB-micro USB cable and an auxiliary cable to use with devices that don’t have Bluetooth.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersGreat little unit that is a night light, clock, alarm clock, speaker and radio combined.

    Good:
    – Very good all-in-one unit without being overly complicated.
    – The speaker top also functions as a touch control for light and the alarm.
    – Many lights to choose from and the light isn’t too bright, making it suitable as a night light.
    – Not sure what the mAh of the battery is like, but it doesn’t use a lot of power for just the time, so it lasts reasonably long. Using the light will shorten this and using the radio/speaker will definitely use up power a lot faster.
    – Nice design, simple and compact.
    – Relatively lightweight.
    – There’s an on-off button to switch the unit off entirely, which isn’t very useful if you’re actively using the unit, but this does not reset the time, so there must be a memory function and as long as there is power in the battery, it will continue the time, this is very very good.
    – 20.69 (22.99 with a 10% off voucher) is great value for a handy and convenient all-in-one light unit like this.

    Neutral:
    – Comes with a charge cable, but not plug, which is quite standard these days.
    – Accurate time, which is to be expected.
    – Speaker is OK, but not amazing, however, at this price, you can’t complain.

    Bad:
    – The biggest downside of this for me is the size of the display. The time display is too small for convenience, so it’s not really something you’d rely on for time unless you’re in bed and it’s right next to you.
    – The set time, set alarm time, turn alarm on/off is all one button, which is a little inconvenient to navigate, since you’re not always going to remember when to press/hold, etc.
    – No date option, and hence no “weekend” or “set days” for alarm option.

Overall, this is a great unit that I absolutely think is great. Some slight drawbacks, but nothing major, so realistically, I’d say 4.5 stars for this, but closer to 4 stars.

A very colourful simple looking light/music player. The design is great for kids bedrooms whilst it cycles through colours.

The display is clear near the bottom, it’s very easy to tell the time at a glance from the bed.

Connecting this to my phone for the bluetooth was very simple, sound quality is acceptable. You won’t be getting a high res sound from this, which is expected from the asking price.

It does what it does well, and that’s more than good enough

Paired with my phone through bluetooth with no issues whatsoever, plays music through link without any problem although I’d say the sound is a little tinny at times (can’t really complain though what with the size and price). Fairly decent variety with the lighting and colour and you can change the brightness level to some degree, I also like the different options of either bluetooth or FM radio but I think it would be better if it used DAB instead of FM and if it saved your last use when you turn it off and on again but again for the price you get what you pay for.

Overall great speaker that I can take with me anywhere when doing things around the house and play what I want from rather then relying on the phone speakers.

As usual, the package arrived very quickly from Amazon.

I ordered this xalon Bedside Lamp with Bluetooth Speaker, as I needed a bedside lamp with an alarm clock built in, but this one goes one goes a few steps further by incorporating a touch sensitive RGB colour changing light, a Bluetooth wireless speaker and an FM Radio.

When I opened the box, inside was the speaker, a User Manual, a cable with a 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male plug on each end for an external speaker, and a Micro USB to USB-A cable, I took the speaker out I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the build, it seems very well made.

Connecting the speaker via Bluetooth on my phone was very quick and easy. Once connected I played a few of my favourite songs, I found the speaker to be quite good for a speaker in this price range, let’s say I wasn’t disappointed, if you are, you can always plug another speaker into the auxiliary socket, there are two other ways of playing music through the speaker, you can use the built in FM radio, or use a TF card. The only niggles I have with the controls, they are all on the bottom, so you have to pick the speaker up to change radio channels etc.

The light is controlled by a touch sensitive mesh on the top of the speaker with 3 levels of brightness, you just tap the mesh for whichever level you would like, and if you keep your fingers on it longer it changes colour there is even a mode which allows is to flash along with the music.

The alarm clock works like any other, but another niggle I have is the size of the numbers on the clock, they are quite small, and not the clearest.

One thing I haven’t mentioned, on top of everything else is it is rechargeable, so you don’t have to have it plugged in all the time, at the moment I do, but it will be nice to take it into the garden on a warm summers evening.

At the time of writing this review the price is 21.99, but at the moment there is a 10% discount voucher bringing the price down to 19.79, which I think is a very reasonable price or a rechargeable/mains/ lamp/alarm clock/speaker.

I hope you have found this review and photos helpful.

4.0 out of 5 stars Surprising Rechargeable Lamp/ Bluetooth Speaker/Alarm Clock/FM Radio at a very reasonable price!

This is a well made night light with multi functions.
I love the fact that there is a large mesh area on the top of the light reacting effectively to tapping. The levels of brightness and colours of light can be adjusted by simply tapping. It can work as a radio and the sound quality is ok. It can be connected to my phone via blue tooth as a speaker. It has a clock screen and you can set alarms.
However, there are two aspects that I dont like about this product. There is no option of warm white light colour which is more gentle and undisturbed for sleeping. It reminds verbally when it is on low battery and needs to be recharged. We were roused from sleep in the middle of the night by this annoying verbal reminder. Could not find the option to remove this function.

  15. Meld Magazine says:

When this arrived it was smaller than I expected.
It felt solidly put together though and was very easy to connect to my phone blvia Bluetooth.

The lamp part isn’t hugely bright but that means it doesn’t hurt your eyes if you turn it on after a nights sleep.
The various colour options are fun and keep young kids amused.

The speaker quality isn’t great but if, like me, you listen to some low volume radio as you fall asleep then this is more than adequate.
Its certainly not capable of filling a room with sound but what do you expect at this price?

One point I must state is that the battery doesn’t seem to last very long.
I’ll try fully charging it again but I wasnt impressed after the first couple of charges.
You can always leave it plugged in anyway, as a normal bedside lamp would be.

I think this would be great for a young childs room, you could leave the light on as a nightlight, and some soothing music playing on the speaker.
Both will turn off if you set the timer.

Value for money is excellent for this.

I hope you find my review helpful.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very useful for the bedside table

xalon Bedside Lamp with Bluetooth Speaker

This multifunctional bedside lamp has a lot to offer than most bedside lamps. It has more than essential functions like RGB lights, dimmable feature, FM radio, Bluetooth speaker with TF and aux mode, and LED clock. Its design is quite modern, most suitable for people who love RGB dancing light. The touch function is responsive, while the speakers’ audio quality is decently crisp. What’s best is its rechargeable function, making it convenient to use without the hassle of plugging in every time I use it. However, it could be helpful if the clock is more significant or with a bolder font to make it easier to read. Overall, I find this product recommendable.

This is small and I like that.It is great to have the coloured lights and for the price the speaker quality is fine.
I found it easy to set up and use . Yes, you can get much better sound but not for anything like this price.
I find all the presets on all these devices a little difficult to manage but t his one is no worse and I am am able to use it near my computer because it is nice and small and can fit in any where. It is nice looking and easy to touch and change.
Overall I like it very much for the price. Really enjoying listening to things on my phone while I work..

In addition to the bluetooth speaker, alarm clock and mood lamp with a range of colour choices and light display sequences this unit also has a built in FM radio and can play music via an AUX cable or memory card. The sound quality is hardly the greatest you have ever heard but as a bedside device that is rechargeable, it is very good value for money. It’s great not to be limited to places where there’s a plug, and the touch control is good.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis xalon Bedside Lamp with Bluetooth speaker, looks well made and a quality item.
I was able to very quickly pair it with my phone via Bluetooth and play music on it. The sound quality is reasonable ok.

It has various different coloured light settings including a white light with 3 brightness settings and a flashing light option when music is playing.
These are all operated by touching the top of the speaker mesh or even hovering your finger a millimetre above the speaker.

The main buttons for all other features on the speaker are all on the underside. Any adjustments mean you have to physically lift the speaker and turn it upside down, without touching the speaker mesh. This turns out the light or alters the colour and then, if dark, you can’t see what buttons you are pressing. It takes a bit of getting used to setting up the various features.

This speaker has an FM radio and produces a reasonably ok reception and sound quality.
There is a clock/alarm clock and 3 timer setting ( 20mins, 40mins, 60mins). This is useful for setting some music or audiobook and the light on for a preset period of time, and both light and speaker switching off when you are asleep.

It can be used on power and charged by a USB A to Micro USB cable provided. It takes about 3 hours to charge. It can then work on it’s battery. It gives various voice prompts whilst setting the functions, and will say “low battery, please charge”.
There is a SD card player and a 3.5mm- 3.5mm jack lead for auxiliary linking.

This Bedside lamp comes in its own box with well written clear instructions.
It would be good for children as once set up, they can just operate the light by touching the top and use as a night light. It also looks ‘grown up’ enough to be used by young people and adults.

At the time of writing it is good value for money and I can recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI like this speaker a lot and use it many hours of the day. It’s a relatively affordable clock which as a couple of useful features.

One of the main attractions to me was that this had a FM radio function. I use spotify and streaming services most of the time, but sometimes it’s nice to hear live sounds and people. I personally find it surprisingly hard to find something which is FM enabled. The FM speaker mode works well in my experince. Of course, you don’t get get full control of the frequency etc…, but switching between stations is very easy, and much better than scrubbing to find the correct band. Essentially, you hold a button in the radio mode, and it automatically searches for the radio stations and stores them, meaning you just need to press the arrow buttons to change the stations – very useful!

There are also other modes included in this light/speaker such as a clock which is what’s displayed (when not adjusting settings), a daily alarm, a timer (20, 40 and 60 mins), the as mentioned FM radio and bluetooth mode, all selectable with the mode switch. While it would have been nice to have more control with the length of the timer, it’s nice that they included it and I still find it useful occasionally. The bluetooth works as it should.
The display is black with white digitsand while small, I think looks quite classy. It shows not only the time, but if an alarm is on and what mode you are on, such as FM or BT.

The sound quality is poor, but not too bad. There is little bass, and overall lacking in the maturity of the sound, but I personally don’t find it tinny and relatively comfortable to listen to which is a pleasant surprise. And let’s be honest, you’re expecting this quality audio (or worse) for this price and size. I am fussy about my audio, but I am still happy listening to this occasion since sometimes music is better than no music. I really wanted to connect this to an external speaker using the 3.5 output, but unfortunately, it did not work. Plugging a 3.5 aux cord inside resulted in a little tone telling us that it recognised a cable was connected. However, no sound was outputted, which is a shame – the music just stops. It turns out that this is an Aux-in and not a headphone jack, so it plays signals fed in, but doesn’t feed out, unfortunately. I was really hoping that I could have outputted the sound so I could get higher quality radio sounds, but alas, it wasn’t meant to be.

Another selling point of this combo is the light mode. If you are familiar with the Muji humidifiers, then this is very similar – has an LED at the base and the white plastic diffuses the light relatively evenly. The white light, I would consider neutral – it’s not overly blue, nor too warm; a nice compromise. In my experience the light is very nice in that the light is of decent quality – it does not change colour/have much tint. Looking at the unit is very nice when on, as the light is not too bright and the light is even. There are three brightness settings, but I found them to be very close to each other.
There is also the RGB mode, where you can select between certain solid colours being red, blue, green, purple, sky-blue, breathing cycle and some multi-coloured flashing thing which I don’t ever see myself using. Again the colours are nice and well diffused, but you don’t get brightness control for these and as mentioned, the rainbow flashing mode does not seem very useful at all – it flashes different colours at a high speed. I think that it was intended to flash along to music, but it’s too busy; I think it would be better with only one colour, and/or separate the frequencies with certain colours or having a few colours relating to volumes.
Changing between the white light and the RGB lights is done by hold-tapping the speaker grill, and tapping to change the brightness/colour.
More often than not, the whites from RGB LEDs are not very good since the colours aren’t balanced very well and you can see the separate colours. Due to the quality of the light colour, I am predicting that they also have separate LEDs for the white light mode, which is very welcome!

Another selling point of this combo unit is that this has an inbuilt battery, so you can use this as a wireless speaker and a wireless night-light, which is especially useful if your charging ports are away from your bedside table for example. I haven’t been able to confirm how long the battery lasts. What I did find interesting was that when the battery was low, it made a few beeps periodically until I put it to charge (I was sleeping at the time and it semi-woke me up. During this time, the screen went off, and I wondered if the whole unit had run out of power completely. I put it to charge, and the display didn’t turn on. I could have restarted the unit or pressed a button to see if it would fix it, but I just kept it like that because I wanted to see if it was able to keep the time setting. The display turned back on itself when the alarm went off and the time had remained correct!

Overall, I really love this speaker/light combo. I love almost everything about it, including the light, size, wireless-ability, clock etc… all in one unit. The only two things that I can really complain about are the use of a micro USB port instead of type-C, and the audio jack not having an output capability, thus the one-star loss. If you’re happy with these compromises, then I can very easily recommend this.

Also, while the photos show that the light just ‘condenses’ at the bottom, although it does happen, it looks much better in person, especially in a very dark room.

    Hope this was useful!

4.0 out of 5 stars A very nice night-light with a speaker and radio

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a handy device, which I got primarily as a bedside lamp/clock, and for listening to audiobooks via Bluetooth. The speaker isn’t great quality, but it’s certainly capable of handling audiobooks. The light is a bit obnoxious at first when pairing a Bluetooth device or when playing anything back – it changes colour rapidly, but thankfully that can be turned off with a quick tap of the speaker. This also allows you to turn the light on and off, with a long tap changing the colour. On the white light, it has 3 brightness levels, coming on at the dimmest, but unless you turn the device upside down to turn it off completely, you unfortunately don’t seem able to turn the light off again without cycling through the 2 higher brightness settings.

  22. Marie says:

This arrived well presented in a retail box and inside you get the Lamp, USB-A to Micro-USB Power Cable, 3.5mm to 3.5mm Cable and Instructions.

Now, I do not usually start off with this, but I am this time and that it my biggest bug bear about this lamp. All the controls are on the bottom. So, anytime you want to do anything, you must pick it up and turn it over. It is not as though you get a remote with it.

Setting it up is straight forward and easy enough to do — with it turned upside down of course.

Controlling the source is done using the M button and use can choose, after pairing, between Bluetooth, Aux and Micro SD Card. Bluetooth and Aux is going to be better as you can control the track, volume, etc from your device. I paired it with my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and the sound was not that bad given the price.

The FM radio does have a station search function, but I was not able to pick up any stations. I do not live in a particularly good area for radio reception anyway, which would not have helped.

Lighting is controlled by the touch sensitive panel on the top. Just touching in will turn on the white light and then subsequently touching it will adjust the three brightness levels and then turn it off again. Once is, if you hold your finger on the panel, it will switch into colour mode. You have 5 colours, a slow fade in/out of different colours and a fast flashing between colours. You do not get the option to dim them.

The small screen at the bottom of the lamp is not the easiest to see and there is no brightness adjustment on it.

It is quite compact and has a small footprint, so not going to take up much space on a bedside cabinet or shelf. The power cable is about 70cm and the Aux 44cm

Overall, you get a decent amount of functionality for the price but do not expect blistering sound quality, although it is alirght. If you get over the annoying control set-up, then it is not a bad device.

I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Thanks for reading.
NB. For a sizing guide, squares in photos are 1cm.

If you’re looking for a cool bedside table lamp for a child / teen, this is definitely a great choice. It’s a fairly decent size and sits securely on the surface with none slip grippers on. You can change the colour to literally any you can think of and also make it lighter or duller. It has a smart touch sensor which is easy to use, build in radio, speaker for Bluetooth and also alarm features. It’s an all on one little hub for your bed. Arrived fairly nicely packaged and great for my little nephew
