sensory toy with different textured cords that little ones pull through the main body of the toy.
As well as each cord having its own texture as they are pulled through they make different sounds
Great for teething as made with non toxic silicone
Funny puller toy. The pulling parts are made out of strong, stretchy and rubbery silicone so are very tactile and safe for little one to pull and chew on as much as they like! Brightly coloured and lots of different textures to explore. As its bendy and flexible it’s also handy to chuck in the changing bag for when out and abou
This is really amazing. It really keeps your child busy for ages, they have so much fun that the child won’t even realise they are learning. Great for sensory, logical thinking, fine motor skills and memory. Teaches you life tasks whilst you play. It is lightweight and really great for long car journeys or travel. Great value for money and a perfect gift idea.
This is a cornucopia of toddler fun, likely to occupy many, many happy hours, all the while sneaking some learning skills past the ‘playing’ child too. The kind of briefcase format appeals to a child’s wish to mimic grown-ups and appear adult and we’ve found that the toy is taken off to a corner for private investigation and then brought back to have some particular feature (e.g. the shoelace or buckle trainer) explained/demonstrated. Only for it then to be taken away again for that specific newly acquired skill or knowledge to be repeated solo – again and again and… In short, it’s fun for the user and teaches too, but not in a ‘Gradgrind-ish’ or overly earnest way. Not only that but it’s well made and attractive to the eye as well. What more could be reasonably asked of a toy? Highly recommended.
I got this for my grandson and I feel at the moment may be a little too young for it, he is 12 months.
In fact one of the Velcro strips came off which was a little concerning.
To be honest most of the various activities are better suited to an older child so I have tried to bear that in mind when writing this review. There is a good mix of activities which I feel would be better suited to 3/4 year olds but obviously depends on the child.
Easy to carry around so ideal to take on holiday or to friends house etc.
I never heard of the idea of a ‘busy book’ when my son was a baby/toddler but I can see that it would have been the sort of thing he’d have enjoyed, so I assume many other little ones will enjoy this too.
This is a ‘book’ in a fairly loose sense of the word, it is predominantly made of felt with all of the inside ‘pages’ having different activities a young child can manipulate and explore. It does fold closed like a book and you turn over the pages to get to the next one. When it is closed, you can keep it shut with a button and elastic band fitted on the front and back cover.
There are also two felt handles which you can either tuck in when you close it, for tidiness, or you can leave them out, in which case the ‘book’ becomes more like a handbag or briefcase; the child can carry it round with them wherever they go. I think this is neat; if, for instance, you are going to the doctors and you know you’ll probably have to sit around waiting, the little one can carry this book/briefcase in with them and they have something right there to keep them occupied and saved from boredom. Or carry it with them when you go and visit granny or whoever.
Most of the pages have activities involving small felt tiles with a variety of decorations and images on and the child matches or arranges and places these tiles on corresponding places on the book’s pages. The pages and the tiles both have Velcro patches to hold the tiles in place when the child arranges them (and will also keep them safely and tidily inside the book when not in use).
But it is the first and last page that I like best because these have a selection of fittings and fastening: Velcro, buttons, poppers, zips, shoelaces. Little fingers can have loads of fun fiddling with and exploring these different things – and learn a bit of dexterity in completing tasks like doing up buttons and unzipping zips.
It’s all bright and colourful and a lot of fun and can keep little ones busy for quite a while, I’d imagine.
Got this for our son. He needs to learn some motor skills that would help him in a long run. The shoelaces, zipper, knot, etc are one of his favourites on this board. It has colourful prints and all are useful. I would say it has more variations or tasks compared with the other busy board we got. It is better to be playing lying on the floor so the other sticky items will be sturdy and will not drop.
Our 1 year old great niece loves this. This sensory toy has long bits to pull. Can be pulled either way. Bit tough for her to pull them back through the centre green body as of yet. Shde likes the sliding bear head ar the back. As a sensory toy is great. Does the job. SHe plays with it and it also helps with her coordination.
This is a really cute toy with lots to push, pull and chew. It’s not too big so is a great size for little hands. No issues with the paint on this one unlike another reviewer and I am happy with the quality.
It’s so important to get sensory toys for your babies in my opinion as they accelerate their dexterity and brain functions.
This simple toy will keep your child amused for ages as there are multiple functions to play with. Each cord is made differently so it feels and looks different it also makes a different noise when it’s pulled through the toy.
There is a slide button for additional noise creation and fidget bubbles that are fun to press.
Highly recommend.
Really lovely item, well presented and will be well loved.

It’s a fab idea however already lost some pieces because the glue isn’t strong enough that holds the Velcro!
Great item, son absolutely loves it keeps him entertained for hours on a journey
