Yeaaaaah, it’s PLA, who cares really, I suppose – But because it’s all the same it comes down to after sales support and what you get in the box at this point, so they get 6 out of 5 stars for that! Two free 5 meter spools of random filament (That’s about enough to do two 30x30x30mm test cubes by the way) and a separate (as in not the bag it comes packed in!) zip-lock bag.

Ziro just earned a bit of brand loyalty with me, I’ll definitely order from them again when I need more. And I already do! Because I printed with the test 5m and thought it looked great so bought a 1kg spool of it! Being nice earns you more custom, take note other brands!

This is a nice looking pla that’s similar in strength to solid coloured pla. That gives it the edge over many silk pla products because it doesn’t seem to be strength degraded.

It prints and normal pla bed and extrudes temperature which for my set up means 50c bed 210c extruded (other printers may differ).

However unlike most pla mine has needed to be stored in a dry box within a day or two out of its packaging because it appears to be extremely hydroscopic.

I really shouldn’t complain at the price I paid for this, bought 3 rolls and used them to print the parts for a Mostly Printed CNC using a 0.6mm nozzle on my CoreXY. The only real issue I had was as you get towards the end of the roll, the plastic was not wound very well and kept knotting up causing some artefacts in the print and in one case breaking the filament. In order to use the last 10% I had to remove it from the plastic carrier and rewind it.

The color is what I was looking for, it is super vibrant and bright. Of course it depends on lightning but as you can see on image, with daylight it almost glow or at least reflect a lot of light. Have not printed any detailed models, but for big objects it works well. This was my first filament of this brand and I am positively surprised by the fact they also include zip-plug bag among with 5m of nozzle cleaning filament. So quality+these 2 small additives probably makes me switch to this brand as my primary. Also the rolls come nicely and uniformly wounded up so not to worry about tangling. Already got around 10 spools of PLA of this brand and so far do not regret it.

he filament arrived on time . well packaged , and even comes with its own airtight bag to keep it safe from moister that could ruin it.
i had a slight problem with it and the seller was almost immediate in solving it . very good customer service from ziro3d. the colour is vivid and bright , on my ender5 pro i used a hotend setting of 221 and the bed was at 55 which worked very well with this filament.
the best part is once you have used it all you still have a bag to store some of your other filament in.
the price has just gone up from what i payed, but to be honest its a good product . i was genuinely suprised at the results it gave.
so far i have printed end covers for my printer , support arms , ect all without an issue.
it even glows under black light.
    great product .

Ziro filament I have found is good value for money. Some better than others. The red is good and produced nice strong prints. My two favourite ziro filaments are the marble filament this gives a speckled finish that sort of looks vaguely marble but the big advantage is that due to the specked finish and colour it hides support marks or any minor first layer/top layer problems. The second is the glow in the dark filament. This is absolutely fantastic. It’s very strong and rigid the colour in the day helps to mask layer lines and has a nice frosted ice appearance. The best bit is the glowing power. Even indoors away from windows this will glow all night long just from being in a bedroom away from the windows. It is opaque do you will see infill through it 4-6 perimeters will help and extra layers or depending on the model print solid. I have printed models 2 perimeters and 20% infill (grid) and still glows all night. It is brighter the more layers/walls and is capable of excellent detail (printed the dinosaur head demo from prusa on my mk3)

The filament was well packaged as it arrives with silica desiccant included to prevent the build-up of humidity (which is quite common). The recommended printing temperature printed on the box was useful, and the print turned out beautifully as shown in the figure. Ziro is also quite thoughtful to also include a re-sealable plastic bag to store your filament. This is something that other filament company should be doing.

I like the fact that the spool holder is transparent, allowing you to estimate the amount of filament left on the spool. The spool holder also has holes to hold the filament in place to prevent tangling during storage. Despite it is not very eco-friendly (many companies like filamentive and proto-pasta opt for cardboard spool holders), it does the job.

The print came out beautifully with very bright and saturated colour – plenty of pigments (as advertised). It adheres well to the print surface (glass bed with hair spray) without any warping. With the right print setting, I can completely eliminate stringing. The bond between layer is also very strong, resulting in a strong and rigid print as you’d expect from a high-quality PLA filament.

    Overall I’d recommend this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars High quality budget filament & beautiful colou

Bought this filament as I have bought the marble look filament of them and its dam good stuff. Bought this then after I did I looked at the rating and people were saying it’s not sticking to the bed .my nozzle keeps getting blocked and I thought oh poo what have I done .got it put it on the machine and it did not print very well .I was getting dragged lines in my print. ive seen this before when I purchased my micro swiss .I had to raise the temp .normal run at 200-210 on my standard nozzle .when i bought the micro swiss i had to turn it up to 226 to get rid of these drag lines then .I had a different spool on before i put this on and my temp was 218 for that it was silk. This spool I had to raise again to 226 and it’s like butter nice. So if you’ve got standard nozzle raise to about 210-215 and micro swiss 226 and youl be happy like me.

I have now used the following colours… Black, Purple, Green, Blue, White, Glow in the dark blue and fluorescent Orange.

I have now switched to Ziro as my preferred filament from another leading brand.
This filament has been so reliable to print with and I have had no problems with it at all since I started using it about 8 months ago. I’ve been using it on my FLSUN I3+ and Ender 3 with a variety of build surfaces like glass, Printbite+, painters tape, the standard 2018 Ender 3 surface and the Creality glass bed with no first layer issues on any of them.
I use a regular PLA setup of 195/60 and get good layer adhesion and have not had to make any changes in set up across any of the colours as they all print as well as each other. I have no surface blobs or extrusion problems and most importantly I have not had to sort out any clogging in the nozzle.
Another good thing is that you get a decent resealable bag with the filament, which is more than most manufacturers.

This is a good reliable filament at a really decent price and worth a try in my opinion.

I have used many filaments, this is a good solid performing filaments, if you have set your printer up right you can get some great looking prints. I have printed a full set of AM8 parts out to up grade an Anet printer I have. I have also done a few models for a friend. The pictures are from a Warhol titanic robot that will be getting primed and painted. It’s printed at a 0.1mm layer height to get good detail. The layer adhesion is good and parts are strong.

I run this at 200oc on hotend and bed temp of 60oc. Using an anycubic glass bed.

This filament hold primer (rattle can) type realy well, and acrylic paint.

I’m really happy with the purchase and the fact it comes with a reusable seal bag is great when not in use.

I would recommend this and will be looking at some further colours soon, I would like to try translucent next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality filament, great for detail.

I’ve found this filament to be a bit of a mixed bag. On the one hand, it gives a lovely glossy finish, good feature definition and good bed adhesion (FWIW, the filament seems very tar-like as it gets extruded). On the other hand, I have terrible problems with nozzle clogging on larger prints. I can print Benchy all day long but the minute I try to print something >10cm across it fails on my CR10. Doesn’t happen with any of my other filaments, and I’ve tried a LOT of different temperatures, layer heights and speeds, all with the same result. I’ll keep it for small models until I find a solution…

I didn’t have much luck with this filament initially, but after my bad review, Ziro contacted me, replaced the broken spool (with a translucent blue rather than red, but hay..) and made several suggestions to help with getting it to print. I’d given up on the red and black I’d purchased, but thought I should give the blue a thorough test, so I tried the 20mm cube, that curled, tried a temp tower, sort of worked, but at 195C fell over. Long story short, 210C on the hot end and 70C on the bed was the sweet spot, and worked for the Red & Black too, so if you don’t have a heated bed, this probably isn’t the PLA for you, it’s a bit odd, but hotter the bed, the better it sticks, I’ll probably order more now I’ve got it dialed in..
