Wanted to get this for my dad who has deteriorating eye sight due to amd, the figures are lovely and large and bold for him to see. The only down side is the glare on the covering from light, but I don’t think that can be helped hugely.

Despite being made of very lightweight, modern materials, this thermometer looks very traditional. Including the frame, it is 8 inches in diameter & perfect for looking at as you go in or out of the front door. I checked it against a conventional thermometer & it is giving the correct temperature.

A gift for my husband. He always checks the temperature every morning usually before he’s found his glasses. He can see this without actually going outside, a blessing especially in winter.

Looks good in my garden. It’s so clear and very accurate. I can read it on one of my outdoor cameras, so I know the temp outside from anywhere on my phone.
It’s early days yet, only had it a week, so time will tell on it’s lifespan. It seems well made though.
Only minor dislike is I only talk in centigrade really, so zero degrees being at the very top (not 2 minutes to 12) would be nice. A barometer as well as a hydrometer would really finish the job off.

I’ve had this thermometer for around three months now and have found it to be very good. It’s very easy, as in remove from the box and site it on the garden shed, as I have done and that is it. Build quality is good, sets itself automatically, shows accurate readings. Really pleased with it.

Especially during the summer when it was horrendously hot, it was good to be able to see what temperature it was and useful to know whether it was safe to take the dogs out for a walk.

The item arrived and it looks impressive with nice bold display that could easily be seen from a fair distance. That’s the good part, unfortunately the temperature gauge did not work correctly.
Refunded by the supplier so happy to try elsewhere.

The instructions warn that recalibration will be needed; I recalibrated my thermometer twice – it is easy to do; thereafter, the thermometer gave accurate readings and proved sensitive to the wide variations of temperature and humidity which have characterised this summer in southern England. I’ve given four stars for accuracy only because I have no other thermometer against which to compare this one precisely. The display is exceptionally clear, making the thermometer easy to read from indoors. Rain has not, so far affected it; I can’t yet judge how it will respond to cold. The design could be improved by adding brackets which would allow one to screw the thermometer to a wooden fence; the design requires one to hang the thermometer on a single screw-head, making it vulnerable, I should imagine, to high winds. The thermometer, which was reasonably priced, arrived promptly and in good condition; I’d gladly buy it again.

I ordered this outdoor thermometer at the beginning of the latest heatwave.
It is hanging on the garden shed and is clearly visible from the kitchen.
Seems reliable and accurate and I’m pleased with this purchase.

Going from some reviews accuracy seemed to be quite variable so I was dubious about buying this thermometer (if it’s not accurate it’s simply an ornament). However I was pleasantly surprised. It arrived in good physical condition and, after leaving it outside for 2hrs to calibrate, it showed as remarkably accurate. I then left it inside overnight, the following morning it was again very accuarate. No manual adjustment has been necessary. It’s too early to comment on weatherproofing/durability but first impressions are positive.

It looks great in the garden and is very easy to read. I was surprised how quickly it self-calibrated and comparing the readings to my La Crosse Weather Station both the temperature and humidity are accurate.
