Revolutionary sanding technology
3M Xtract Cubitron II Net Disc 710W is revolutionary as it is the first net disc to be infused with 3M Precision-Shaped grain, and the first to have 3M’s unique pattern of abrasive. 710W not only makes sanding virtually dust-free, but also delivers industry-leading cutrate and longer disc life.
Virtually dust-free sanding
This net disc was engineered for optimal dust extraction on a variety of substrates. As you sand, any dust produced is easily pulled through the net disc and fitted back-up pad, continuously exiting through the vacuum exhaust. Whether you’ve chosen to attach the tool to a filter bag or dust extraction unit, you’ll have little to no additional cleaning to do after the job is done.
3M precision-shaped grain
3M precision-shaped grain uses 3M microreplication technology to form sharp peaks that easily “slice” through metal-cutting cooler, faster and lasting longer than conventional abrasive grain.

Gave these a go sanding Teak, the dust from Teak is horrible and the they worked really well.. but, not so good if you have a lot of material to remove, they clog up just like normal sanding disks, just takes a little longer, would be great for finishing work and way less dus
We’d been purchasing the cheap off brand discs for years when we saw a review of this product and decided to give it a go. I can say for certain that we’ll never buy the other discs again. These last for far longer and give a much better finish. I was concerned about durability, especially at the courser grits, but they have lasted really well. Will be buying again.
Having been a Mirka Abranet user, these are just as good, if not better for a lower price.
Excellent abrasion, superb dust extraction and long life per disc makes them a high quality, high value item in my workshop.
Pricewise, you get 50 in a box so probably about 50-65p per disc depending on the grit you choose (some are more expensive).
I have these in 80, 120 and 240 now and will be adding 180 and possibly 320 on my next order.
Almost zero dust. Amazing material removal. Bit more expensive but worth every penny. Use it on my festool sander and have tried many brands but this is the best ive ever see
But they also do a great job! Virtually no dust, even without a hoover.
The only problem is that with frequent use, the sanding disc gets dusty and no longer holds as well. However, this is a general problem with this type of sanding disc.
If you have any volume of regular sanding to do, pay the extra and use these. They chew through wood, don’t clog, and allow dust extractors to actually draw the particles out.
Orbital sanding with next to no dust. Providing you attach a vac to your machine.
reasonable selection of grit levels is provided. Some breakdown of the discs at the edges occurred after sanding around 10 sq meters of oak kitchen worksurface however 1 disc of each required grit did the lot. That wouldn’t have happened with standard sanding discs.
Some clogging does happen in the centre of the disc near the extraction holes which could lead to pigtails in the surface if you don’t check it occasionally.
Really pleased with my results and I don’t give 5 stars easily
I used to buy cheap sandpaper and was contemplating replacing my sander because sanding was so slow and time-consuming. Then I found some sandpaper reviews and decided to try the winner, which, to my surprise, was pretty inexpensive. I bought a mixed pack and tried it out, and boy was I surprised! 3M Xtract really removes material fast and they last. Now, sanding is not so much of a pain anymore.
I have been using these on plaster walls and ceilings and they really reduce the dust to a minimum. I was sceptical when I bought them but they make a massive difference to keeping the dust down.
Used to sand and smooth plaster board walls that had been filled and stripped back in places. I used the 320+ on a cheap random orbit sander and had a glass smooth surface in seconds.
Stunned at how good these are.
These are long lasting, extremely clean sanding with a vacuum and easy to apply and remove.
If doing edge sanding they delaminate and I think they’d be very messy so use without a vacuum – but that’s the idea – the mesh and vacuum are directly relevant to extended life.
These are just as good – better actually in my view – as the abranet branded and licenced equivalents.
Great value, excellent product.
Excellent product! Cuts great and leaves a very nice finish! Lasts surprisingly long, I must have gone through about 3sq meters of oak board before noticing any decrease in performance. Highly highly recommend this product! Well done 3M!!!!
The mixed sample pack arrived quickly and were exactly as described. They work great and last well if cleaned / washed between uses. Very similar to Abranet discs by Mirka buy whichever are cheaper at the time.
Heads up if you’re buying the multipack, the description is correct but the image isn’t. The pack contains 8 sheets (not 12). 2×80+, 2×120+, 2×180+, 2×320+, 125 mm. I thought it may be the case so no issue for me. Quick delivery as always.
