My Laptop bag came today that I ordered yesterday, it is absolutely fantastic, not only is it sturdy but it has many compartments to put work book, seperate Mouse, even my laptop folding stand, if I could give this product one million STARS I would, please dont look any further this bag is the BEST
An excellent value laptop bag. Well made with adequate padding and room to spare for my 14″ ASUS Zenbook Duo laptop. The front pocket is sufficient for my power adapter, Bluetooth mouse, stylus and other bits and bobs.
OK, there are better bags out there – but not at less than 12! This one is great for my occasional use and is waterproof. The shoulder strap us convenient when travelling, otherwise, I use the handles.
Absolutely no complaints – indeed, I am rather chuffed
Considering this item is an Amazon basics Laptop bag it is of very good quality with plenty of storage pockets for all the usual extras such as a Laptop power supply, mouse and any other odds and ends, great price given it appears to be well made…would probabably make a great present for the average school student or business professional.
I used it as a carry on bag on a trip to USA. It held my laptop and tablet along with travel documents, medical tablets, sweets etc. The side pockets were great for easy access. I put the LT charger and lead in a suitcase to maximise the space. Very pleased with the bag.
I was looking for a computer bag to keep small laptop, document file and travel document for air travel. Whilst smallish, it is the right size for my purposes but I will also be ordering a 17.6 inch bag later. It arrived within a day in good condition.
It has several pockets with good zips that open and close smoothly. It is reasonably sturdy and good quality. I would buy it again.
Please note I don’t use this for a laptop – I’m a mental health nurse and I use this for carrying depot injections. I got this after my last depot bag started falling apart and so far it’s worked well.
Very nice laptop bag. Main compartment comfortably fits a 15″ laptop, and has some fairly dense 1/2 inch or so foam padding for protection. Side pocket happily fits charger, mouse and a 1-handed keyboard as well. Better than I expected for the price.
Bought as a spare bag for laptop, documents, books and stationary.
Really well made, with plenty of storage. Zips are tough, and there is plenty of space to dump all your ‘get away from the office quick’ crap!
Good laptop bag with decent padding and various pockets, holds my laptop easily along with charger, headphones and mouse.
After a bit of use the shoulder pad stitching has started to come apart.
I wanted a shoulder bag that was big enough to fit a compact umbrella, sandwich box and can of pop. The 35.6cm size bag is perfect. It has a couple of extra compartments for a few essentials and the shoulder strap is detachable so you can carry it like a normal bag if you want to. Perfect.
Bought as a starter laptop carry bag to see how well I get on with it before I upgrade if necessary.
So far it’s done the job it’s intended to do.
2 large pockets for your laptop and notebooks or paperwork.
1 smaller pocket which I’m using for the charger and cable etc.
Carrying handles to use like a standard bag but also comes with a shoulder strap too. The padded area on the shoulder strap works well and I don’t feel any pressure whilst carrying the bag.
So far everything’s been working as it should. No issues with the zips or pockets failing.
Aesthetically it looks smart so if you want to ‘keep up appearances’ you won’t be disappointed.
Not really had it out in the rain yet (not sure personally I would as I’m car or office based mainly) but seems weatherproof.
The padding inside the pockets is minimal but still offers protection from daily bangs and bumps. Unless your swinging your bag round into walls etc then it’s more than sufficient.
My only real negative and it’s just my personal preference I would have liked the bag to be a tough wider to fit more notebooks in etc as it feels a little cramped when I’m fully laden.
Again it depends what your using for so if you have lots of thick papers and books then maybe find a wider pocketed option.
Overall for this price you can’t go wrong. Great starter bag
I am not an expert on laptop bags but bought this bag as my sister is due to flight on a long flight and my dad has purchased a laptop as a gift. From our perspective of keeping everything together the bag is great and has a few pockets to fit accesssories in as well as the 15.6” laptop fitting perfectly, thank you amazon!
Bought this bag for my laptop and needed a cheap but decent bag to carry it in as the paper box it came it started to rip away and became unsafe to travel about with.
For the price paid I cannot fault this as it does exactly what I need it to, I have space for the charger and laptop and probably even some to out a notebook and pens or other accessories.
One thing that does concern me is I don’t think there’s a section specifically for the charger, this is a problem because if someone were to sit on this laptop bag the pertruding part of the plug could damage the laptop screen so you have to bare that in mind and be vigila
Purchased this as a gift for a family member and have to say that I was pretty impressed with it for the price point as I use a more expensive Samsonite laptop case and this reminded me of it being like it’s baby brother. I did purchase a Targis which was slightly more expensive but the quality wasn’t as good as this and thought it did bring good value and had some great pockets for both your laptop, wires and some document files that may be either carried by hand or over the shoulder and also a sleeve to be attached to your travel case. And the family member is pretty happy with it too.
Bought this bag as a replacement for a Targus that had lasted very well over nearly four years of daily use before the Targus main zip track broke.
It’s the first Amazon Basics product I have tried, bought on Amazon Prime Day at half price, but even at full price is an absolute bargain
I bought the 15.6in bag hoping it was big enough as my old one was 17in, but it is a perfect fit for a Lenovo Thinkpad laptop, which measures 16in corner-to-corner, and the laptop fits comfortably without sliding around.
The bag seems very well made, I have used it for work for a few months now and it still looks like new:
> zips seem strong
> front pocket zip corners are reinforced with orange stitching, that presumably strengthens this but also looks nice and contrasts with the black fabric elsewhere
> the lining throughout is a sort of mid-grey ripstop nylon, which is a bit scratchy but looks strong and durable.
> the main pocket is roomy but the other two are also big enough for cables (full size charging block), mice etc.
. having had many bags over time, weak areas always seem to be zips and handles rather than the bag itself: the Amazon Basics bag has strong looking zips (too early to assess real durability of course) and the handles, whilst simple in design (fabric rolled over a reinforcing piece) look well-made.
To be honest, at the price it’s a steal and you can’t really go wrong: I also bought an Italian leather laptop bag from an online auction but actually prefer and use the Amazon bag as it’s so functional.
Highly recommended to all lovers of quality bargains !
I am very happy with this laptop bag as it is just what I was looking for!
I don’t transport my laptop very often so I didn’t want to spend too much money on a bag for it but I needed one because a lot of normal rucksacks cannot fit a 15.6″ laptop inside them.
It is not the most well made laptop bag but certainly does the job for the rare occasions when I do need to take my laptop with me. It has lots of different compartments: a large compartment for the laptop itself with two separating pockets inside the large compartment which is big enough for the laptop and the charger, it then has a smaller compartment which is ideal for notebooks/paper, inside it has a couple of pen holders and small pockets. At the front there is also a smaller pocket.
There is also a shoulder strap which makes it easier to carry the bag and a loop that can fit to a suitcase is needed.
Overall, I would recommend this laptop bag for basic use – which is what it is made for.
I purchased this laptop bag to hold an Acer Chromebook CB3-431 14″ as our previous laptop is the 15.6″ size and I wanted a snug fit for my new purchase. This is particularly important as we only really use it when we go away and it gets thrown into the case with the clothes so it needs to be held securely. The main pocket is perfectly sized for the Chromebook and it will not jiggle about whilst you carry it.
I also need quite a lot of storage room in a bag and this one provides just enough. We use a chunky mouse so that takes up quite a bit of room and at first I was worried that with the mobile phone charger, chromebook charger, charger for the digital camera, mobile dongle, bluetooth headphones and the mouse it wouldn’t all fit. A little judicious angling of the plugs and everything has gone in securely and without leaving the bag bulging uncomfortably or the stitching straining. To be honest I thought it would as it feels very compact. To be honest I could probably easily get my Kindle Paperwhite and my husbands Galaxy Tablet in there as well without any of it feeling in danger of being damaged or of straining the bag.
The padding on the bag is nicely squishy and there feels to be plenty of it – certainly as much, if not more, than the 20 Logic 15.6 version that I own for my Lenovo Laptop. There is also a padded section on the shoulder strap which is a nice touch as the webbing can dig in if you are carrying it over your shoulder and not wearing a thick top of jacket – particularly annoying in summer when it bites through your T-Shirt.
The fabric itself feels like a nylon weave which isn’t particularly tactile but it does give you hope that it will be more or less showerproof. The only drawback is that apart from the small front pocket zip all the zips are uncovered so if you did get caught in a shower moisture could easily seep through. I did like the fact that main pocket designed to hold your laptop has a twin zipper array so you could put a small travel padlock on it you wanted for added security. The stitching all feels nicely secure and I did give it a bit of a tug about before starting to load everything in.
As the name suggests it is basic with no frills but it adequately does the job it is intended for. Whilst it may not have an aesthetic flourishes it is designed very well for its purpose.
I must have bought half a dozen of these bags over the last two years, in various sizes from 11.6 to 15.6 inches; some were given away to relatives when I went abroad, none are damaged.
The 11.6 inch version is best for travelling; I can fit in a medium-size pair of binoculars, 2 phones, power bank, cables, a small bottle of water, a travel document wallet and even an 11-inch (28cm) selfie stick (when retracted).
The 14.1 inch bag I use for work; just big enough to carry my 13.5″ laptop, a bunch of A4-size papers and a standard tabloid newspapers folded in half.
The only minor gripe I have is the shoulder strap, which is the same for all sizes of bags; I would have preferred a smaller, slimmer or even shorter strap for the smallest bag.
My photos show an 11.6″ bag on top of a 14.1″, and the 11.6″ bag containing my travel stuffs.
This laptop bag is one of the best for its price, I bought a laptop bag at Sports direct but wasn’t satisfied with the bag. Even if I paid more than what I paid for this. Totally my fault as I forgot to check the Internet specially Amazon. Learned my lesson now and will always check the online shop first if it’s not something urgent. Some says that the padding for this is not that good but I have to disagree as it’s padded enough unless You have any plans of going into battle or likes to throw your bag while you got a laptop in it. There’s 3 compartments, 1st is for your laptop and probably some school A4 notebooks or a tab. 2nd is for mouse, adapter cables like hdmi or for me having a Mac. Thunderbolt which can convert into hmdi and vga, can also put your charger here and there’s 2 slots for pens. Ipad or tab can also fit in it. And the 3rd one is mainly for some small non bulky things like cell phones or power bank. I wouldn’t put an Ipad or tab there since it isn’t padded on the outer side of the bag. There’s so many laptop bags here in Amazon but for the price and quality, this is definitely a top-notch. Unless You are a typical branded person then yeahhh. This isn’t for You. It comes with both a handle to carry by hand or a sling to carry by shoulders and can be mounted to your luggage by using the slot showing at my last photo.
I’m really beginning to dig the AmazonBasics stuff… primarily because they’re complete liars and there’s nothing ‘basic’ about it at all
Finding a good laptop bag turned out to be… unusually difficult. The quandary for my 13.1-inch laptop (called Kiwi) was that any slim-line bags would be a snug fit… and hold nothing else. And the rest were hulking fabric sarcophagi that were unweidly and would just have the laptop rattling around. Not cool.
This one however, was absolutely spot on. I was able to stash the laptop securely into the main pocket (slipped it into the notebook pouch) and had enough room to carry notepads, pens, charger and mouse… all whilst retaining the relatively sleek profile of the bag. It’s well padded, well made and the top handles are great. Both pockets are zipped and open just enough for comfortable access without that really annoying clam-shell effect where the front half of your bag flies open and shares your stationery with the pavement
The only forgettable element is the shoulder strap. It’s a bit… naff and seemed modelled more for Frankenstein’s monster (no way shoulders are that square). Maybe it just needs breaking in – but to be frank, I’m nitpicking… The bag is absolutely fantastic. Kiwi’s had no complaints either
