I just wanted something to give my arm muscles some exercise. They are exactly as described with a comfortable grip and do their job. Not expensive, sturdy were delivered on time.
I’ve just started trying out weight training. My friends joke about my noodle arms because of how weak and *ahem* soft they are. I originally bought the 5kg to work out at home and I could only do a few exercises because I couldn’t do a number of moves because I really am that weak. I bought the 2kg to give myself a fighting chance.
They’re easy to clean with a wipe down, grip is good even when hands are sweaty though I did have to file down a raised edge ever so slightly for comfort.
They are good to hold with good grip , the shape means they don’t roll , no hassle changing weight plates , they are lightweight for certain exercises but high reps give a good quality workout, you still feel the burn with these with high reps and there’s less chance if injury.
They look good , the blue finish looks good, they are well made and durable dumbbells.
They are easy to use , good for lateral raises, forward raises, bent over rows, tricep exercises, bicep curls and more.
You can easily do a full body workout with these dumbbells, not the heaviest weights but using with high reps , they still give you a good feeling afterwards and keep you fit and healthy.
First off, the neoprene coating is genius. Not only does it keep the dumbbells from slipping out of your sweaty hands like a greased watermelon, but it also doubles as a fashionable accessory. They look so good, I might start carrying them around as weights *and* as a statement piece. Who needs a handbag when you’ve got these bad boys?
Speaking of fashion, these dumbbells come in different colors. I opted for a few different weights, so now my workout room looks like a pastel wonderland. I imagine that this is what it would look like if Easter eggs decided to hit the gym.
And the weights themselves? Well, let’s just say that after a few weeks of lifting, I felt the burn. I went from struggling to lift my grocery bags to confidently carrying ALL the bags in one trip (even the one with the canned goods). The neighbors now ask if I’ve taken up competitive shopping.
Also, they’re great for home security. Place a couple strategically near your bed—nothing says “don’t mess with me” like the sight of a neon-green dumbbell aimed at an intruder. Although if you’re anything like me, the burglar might get away while you’re trying to figure out how to untangle yourself from the yoga mat you’ve tripped over.
In conclusion, whether you’re looking to tone up, accessorize your home, or defend it, these Amazon Basics Neoprene Dumbbells are a must-have. Your noodle arms will thank you, and you’ll have a new appreciation for the phrase “feel the burn.” Now excuse me while I go flex in front of the mirror for the 37th time today.
My wife and I are so impressed with this 2Kg pair of dumbbells that I’m going to order further sets of 3Kg, 4Kg and 5Kg. Given the quality, practicality, looks and reasonable price of these dumbbells, they’re a product I’m happy to recommend. Train Hard, Live Better!
Weights were perfect for what we were looking for. However the deliver was terrible was left outside of my build complex, I wouldn’t usual mind but I was actually in and my door bell was never rung
comfortable and easy to hold with nice matt grip surface. Plus they look great, so I leave them on the side in the kitchen and can do a few lifts when I am waiting for the kettle to boil!
I now have the 1, 2 and 3 kg weights and they are all great. My only feedback for the 3 kg set is that the bar is thicker than the other two and doesn’t fit my hand as well. Maybe there is an expectation that as I get fitter my hands will grow too?
Other than that these are good budget weights and do the job.
Good weights for a teenager starting exercise -very comfy and easy to hold, the covering is non-slippy neoprene. Great shape to get a grip. Bright colour so can identify the size of weights easily. Due to the shape they don’t roll around when on the floor. Can store and stack easily with other size weights. I purchased different size weights from Amazon Basics. Clean easily with a wipe over.
These dumbbells are great, love the colour too. Even when my hands get sweaty you never loose your grip on them. Highly recommend them and would buy again, just heavier.
I bought these to use as a “third hand” to hold down my quilting ruler when cutting fabrics.
I learnt about this from watching videos on quilting “How tos”.The heavy weight, 3 kg, stops the far end of the ruler from moving when I use a rotary cutter. Works a treat.
In retrospect, I think I would buy the 5 kg ones, if I were buying them now.
They’re also great for arm muscles building and as doorstoppers. Love the colour and the price.
They came in a small cardboard box and each was in its own plastic bag.
