Due to buying a new power pack for holidays for my wife we required a suitable charging cable for her Kindle and found this cable ticked all the boxes and was a good purchase.

Can’t go wrong with this cable really, gets the job done for a okay price too. Easy to recommend, not sure of actual wattage it supports but for smaller things it’s perfect.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersUsed this to transfer all data and apps from a 5 year old Motorola phone to a new Samsung. It took less than a minute after all other methods had failed. Magic.

I got this to connect my Sony camera to my Android phone so I can post or backup pictures to the phone or cloud. It works perfectly for doing this.

Seems sturdy enough and I expect it to last for years, though I’ve only just received it.

Own a iPhone 13 got a wireless charger for it need about put of 5v2A to work.
I had a iPhone plug that give that output. But it need a usb c input to plug and a micro b to the charger pad this have help neatening it. It was a mess as I was using a laptop charger to power the charger.

You’d have to be a fairly grumpy fellow to complain about a 5 cable. Works fine for me, I use it for a gaming controller that I connect to my laptop via its USB-C port and works great for that.

does not connect with my Samsung phone (C) and Anker mini power pack (mini). I’m sure it’s great in other situations, but not this one. Going to purchase official Samsung C-mini adapter instead

Simple and durable product, currently using it to connect my Wacom tablet directly to my MacBook, saves me the hassle of bringing and adapter (also great for plugging in older xbox controllers)

Does the job if using a cable ‘Smartswitch’ data transfer! Not the greatest construction but as data transfer is only done infrequently that shouldn’t be a problem. Certainly a quicker transfer rate then using Bluetooth.

I bought this cable to be able to use Radsone ES100 bluetooth DAC as a wired DAC. I note that it’s not mentioned in the description (I suspect because the target market isn’t audio enthusiasts) but I can say it works for this!

I like that it comes in very minimal packaging which is good from a sustainability perspective. It appears to be well made with robust sheathing but only time will tell how it holds up. From an audio quality perspective I get no cut outs and everything fits in nice and solidly. For the price can’t go wrong!

Still, here it is, charging my kindle, charging my headphones, charging all my micro-USB items without my needing an adapter for USB-C to USB-A. Or, actually, it would be if I hadn’t installed it in my BenQ monitor USB-charging port to power a USB speaker for my Apple TV, saving me another redundant power lead 🙂

Convenient, simple, does the job. Any job. Except a skipping rope – way too short to do that.

Surprising good quality for the price. Seems sturdily made and good strain relief where the cable goes in to the connectors. Perfect for connecting a portable power bank to a mobile phone.

I needed this to use with my USB microphone which require a micro usb to lighting or usb c. As I’ve been using it for my new iPad Pro I needed the new cable as the converter wasn’t working.

It does the job, it’s made from reasonable materials and will last especially considering what I need it for.

It is long enough and the sound recorded by the microphone has not been affected or changed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bought it to replace my old wire which was USB micro to Lighting so I can use it with iPad Pro

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBig thanks to danny hutchinson for his review on this cable.

I was looking for a quick way of transferring everything from old phone to new ( LG Q6 to Samsung A70 ) ….install smartswitch app on both phones, connect this cable and choose what you want to transfer, a doddle ! It transfers very quickly too, did the entire phone contents including 100’s of photos and videos and music in less than 5 minutes, very impressive !

Got this as a replacement for a cumbersome and not so good Belkin equivalent. It was bought connect my Chord Mojo to my HTC U12 plus handset. Well this is a bit of an unlikely gem, well made and the sound quality is superb. It fits my Mojo better than its predecessor and is extremely well made. Well done Amazon, this is the first but not the last Amazon Basics lead I’ll be buying . Totally recommended.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersGreat product… really took the hassle out of transferring data from my Samsung Galaxy Alpha to my new Samsung Galaxy.

Cable seems very durable and although it will have limited use, it did the job perfectly.

If you’ve got a new phone (with a USB Type-C port) and want to transfer data from your previous phone (with a Micro-USB) like I did… this is the perfect item.

Previously I had messed around with transferring data to my PC, waiting an age for that to finish, then transferring from PC to new phone with a different cable, not all of the data going over and having to do it again for some reason… so frustrating.

For a couple of quid this makes the whole process a doddle. Plug new phone in one end and old phone in the other and job done! Transfer much quicker and so much less stressful. Highly recommended!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is a solid enough cable, and sure, it’s reasonably good value for money, but just to clarify some confusion this is NOT an OTG cable as some have mentioned, and others wrongly labeled. I bought this, as my options on Amazon for a small cable of this sort were, well, one. It works, don’t get me wrong, and it’s well made, but if like me, you’re looking for a smartphone to DAC cable (my combo being Note 9 – FiiO Q1 ii), be warned, this will continuously try to charge the DAC. And i also noted that my DAC needed to be fully charged for this cable to work, as otherwise the phone won’t allow the extra drain needed to charge it. And it obviously adds drain to the battery. So not a true OTG cable, but works ok

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersBought this to test whether it would enable the Cyrus sound key to work on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. It does that, I would say that (from this) it’s safe to say that it’ll work the same on the Tab S3, and the S8 and S9 phone models, and probably Samsung’s other USB-C devices from the past couple of years. Don’t quote me on this, obviously, but it’s a good thing to learn, all the same.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAfter my ecig ran out of batteries in the highstreet, I though about getting a small power bank for emergencies…

Then I thought “My phone has a 3500 mAH battery – why do I need to carry something else?!”.

This cable fits between my phone (Pixel 1 – USB-C) and my ecig (micro usb), and allows the ecig to charge off the phone.

Concept proven, be nice if there was an even smaller version, perhaps some sort of “key chain” sized adaptor, but at least proves it works.

Maybe a bit expencive at 6, but not a common cable / lot of other uses I guess.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNot much to be said about this cable. AmazonBasics offer some really decent products at fantastic prices, and this cable is no exception. It is durable and the long 1.8 m length doesn’t compromise on performance – maintaining fast 480 mbps data transfer speeds. I personally bought this to use with my MacBook pro, and the cable’s connectors plug into the Mac with a satisfying ‘click’, providing a very secure and stable connection.

At just 7.99 for the longer version, you’ll unlikely find a better value cable on the market.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersWhile it doesn’t claim anywhere to be an OTG cable, I thought I’d give it a gamble & see if it would work as one… but it doesn’t – or at least not with my particular combination of devices (a Google Pixel & a DJI Spark remote controller). Return handled swiftly by Amazon.

(4-star review so as not to unfairly skew the average either way, can’t really blame a cable for not doing something it never claimed to do)

Giving it four stars for now as I’ve just got it and can’t speak to its durability. However, it worked just as I needed it to and solved a big problem. I have Sony NW MP3 earphones (which are great) and a 2015 Macbook with USB-C (which is complicated!). Like many users of recent Macbook models, I have good USB-C hubs but they were patchy at best with the earphones. This cable cut out the need for the hub, allowing me not only to charge, but also to sync audio to the earphones.
