I love this dock. First, it charges the controllers which is what I was looking for. It also has an output to run a cable to your headset which works for my setup. If you want wireless charging for the headset as well, this company also makes a dock like that as well which I recommend. Second, let’s talk about the battery covers that come with this. Yes, they allow for wireless charging of the controllers which is awesome, but the covers come with knuckle straps built in! They are super comfortable and work great and you can charge the controllers without having to remove them. Love it!!
Pro’s
1. Convenient. The dock, detects and charges the controllers, using the same cable that I use to charge the quest 2 with external battery pack. Works exactly as described, which makes the whole thing more inviting to use.
2. Neatness. This gives the controllers a place to sit whilst not in use. Means they’re not left floating around the desk, or worse being thrown about the place, and likely misplaced.
3. One input cable for everything. This does not require any more USB chargers to be plugged in, it uses the existing charging method for the quest 2.
4. Leather straps. This make the controllers more secure on the hand, feels better than having to constantly “hold” the controller. My grip can be released without fear of the controller going anywhere.
Cons.
1. doesn’t do anything to make the quest easier to charge. Still have to plug in a USB C cable to the quest 2 to charge it.
3. Extra USB cable from dock to Quest 2. Whilst there’s not an extra power input needed, there is a second cable to deal with.
4. Controller batteries don’t seem to charge to 100% according to the quest menus. Not a big deal, as they’re still fully charge, just a UI issue. There is something about fixing this, but I’ve not managed to get it to work.
Overall
This is a great addition to the quest 2. It really does clean up the controller side of things very nicely. The upgraded battery covers feel just as secure as the originals. Maybe they’re even more secure with the locking mechanism. The leather straps add to the level of comfort and security when using the controllers. The controllers have a place to live when I’m not using the quest 2, or playing a PC based VR game and don’t need them.
I think this is a great addition to the Quest 2, and frankly, would love to see something like this built into a future version of the Quest as standard. It really does improve the experience of using the device.
Not only is this a good charger but had an issue and customer service got back with me right away after a piece broke. They were quick to replace it and the charger is easy to use and quick to charge. I bought several other brands and this is by far the best!
Perfect for what I wanted. A solution to having to buy an endless supply of AA batteries for the controllers, and then the need for a unified charging station. The included rechargeable batteries are easily fitted.
I did not use the included “heavy duty” straps they seemed far too small for my pudgy hands to fit through, so I reused the originals from the Quest 2.
Having a cradle for the two controllers to sit in to recharge and to provide charging power via a cable to the Quest 2 headset all in one compact unit is a great way to keep everything together and ready to use.
Die Ladestation macht was sie soll, nmlich laden. Allerdings wrde ich das “Fast Charge” von der Verpackung und aus der Beschreibung streichen. Schnell ist was anderes und ich hab schon ein sehr starkes Netzteil angeschlossen.
Die im Lieferumfang enthaltenen Akkus halten eine halbe Ewigkeit. Nach 3 Stunden Beat Saber immer noch 90% geladen. Wie hier zu lesen ist das die Akkus keine 2 Stunden halten, kann ich also nicht unterschreiben.
Die einstellbaren Riemen machen einen guten Eindruck und machen Sinn. Gerade bei Spielen wie Beat Saber muss man keine Angst mehr haben, dass man die Controller versehentlich durch die Gegend wirft. Die Controller liegen nun bombenfest in Hand und lassen sich auf jede Handgre einstellen. Was diese kleine, abnehmbare Klappe im Griff fr einen Sinn oder Funktion hat, keine Ahnung?
Wenn man, wie ich, einen Kiwi Headstrap mit zustzlichem Akku hat, sollte man vom laden ber die Station absehen, das dauert ewig. Oder ber Nacht dran, dann ist es am nchsten Morgen voll.
Bis auf das leider kein Netzteil mit dabei ist und das Laden etwas lnger dauert, wrde ich die Ladestation weiterempfehlen.
This is a great addition to our oculus. The battery life is great and controller covers were easy to install. We received a broken cover and contacted the manufacturer right away. The customer service agent was a huge help and resolved the issue within days. I cannot recommend this charger and company enough. Great product they stand behind.
**update** the seller contacted me directly and sent me a replacement part free of charge with a few days of me leaving the review, hopefully this one isnt defective. Great customer service **The plastic battery cover had a split within the first 2 times using it. The product is out of return time, I bought it early for a birthday gift and now it’s non returnable, I didnt realise the return window was so short. Very poor quality and even more shabby customer service that I’m stuck with a defective product. I can’t comment really on battery quality as it was only charged once before breaking.
We bought this for our son who is constantly playing with his Quest 2. Given that the Quest 2 controllers use regular batteries, we were having to charge up and replace AA batteries all the time.
Now that we have this device, our son can charge the controllers and headset overnight so that the controllers never need battery swapping. He can also keep the headset connected by cable to the charger during the day for continuous play if he wants.
The overall quality of the device is pretty good, It comes with all the required cables to connect to your wall charger, and connect the headset to the device.
Installing the battery packs into the quest controllers was easy. You just need to make sure the contacts are correctly aligned. We have had no trouble with charging either the headset or the controllers. Just note that if you connect both the headset and controllers at the same time, the device will prioritise charging the headset first before charging the controllers.
This was a gift for my son and he loves it! We were having a hard time with always needing batteries and him losing his controllers. Now everything is in a tidy spot. It is lovely.
I’ve had these for a coupe of days now. I keep forgetting to look how much charge is left after each play session, but today I played just about an hour of beatsaber and both started at 100% charge, after I finished my right controller was at 80% and my left was at 90%. Not sure why the left had more charge than the right as I was using both the entire time. But losing roughly 10% per hour seems acceptable to me so long as they stay that way.
I will update the review if anything goes wrong.
If you have trouble with the controllers charging after awhile, try putting a bit of rubbing alcohol on a qtip or tissue and clean the 3 contacts on the controller battery doors regularly. We found after enough oils/dirt/sweat from hands got on it that it would not make good enough contact with the prongs in the dock to charge.
Has a USB port to charge the headset as well, which works well, but the main appeal of this is the easy charging of the controllers!!

I can’t say how long the battery’s will last in the hand controls but what would have been very useful is information as to where you could get replacement battery’s for this style of hand control overall it works well
For the charging purpose, this product marks all of the boxes. But the devil is in the details.
The controllers fit in the cradle pretty well, but occasionally they will appear to be charging only to lose connection when you turn your back. Be sure to give it an extra 5-count to make sure things are charging as you expect them to.
Also today after 11 days of occasional daily use, the velcro has peeled off of the hand strap. There was not a replacement in the box, so now I am pondering how to fix it. Of course it happened while using it, so it made game play interesting. It is really swell when it works.
Perhaps a sticker is not the best way to adhere velcro to a fabric strap, especially where it needs to be adjusted often for different sized users within one household.
First of all, I love that the grips are included- and just being able to place the controllers into a custom fit holder is fantastic! Unit seems well made, simple and sleek. Charging lights are not just simple red or green indicators but actually gently “flash” to show that the controllers or face piece are charging. Very glad I bought this- and I would highly recommend it to anyone with the Oculus quest 2.
Amvr complete charging station is one of the best I have seen so far, from the start in the box you get the controller grips , which is made of a leather style fabric with adjustable velcro so will fit everyone’s hand size, a one of a kind cover door which will keep your grips on when playing games like beat saber, 2x batteries, and an illuminated charge indicated dock which has finger touch controls incase you don’t want the indicator lights on, you connect the original quest charging lead to the input slot at the back of the dock and then use the included cable to charge the headset by using the output slot.Over all quality is 100% and would highly recommend amvr as a good add-on to any quest 2 user.
The box is simple, the charging stations is very light, almost too light it seems. One thing you don’t want is having this to slide around when inserting your controllers into its own station but it doesn’t, there’s rubber paddings underneath to keep it in place.
The directions were fairly simple, there are 2 ports in the back, a USB-C and a USB-A. It uses your Quest cord as your power cord for the charging station, and the cord (USB-A) that comes with this charger is to charge your headset. That part of the instruction is a little confusing, I felt the image that was provided wasn’t clear enough but it really took no time to figure this on your own anyhow.
The LED screen is straight forward. There is an engraved fingerprint mark on the charger, you just touch it with your finger and it will turn on and off the display which is a nice thing to have if this sits in your bedroom. It only controls the display, it will still charge with the display off which is what you want. There is a charging sequence this goes thru if you have both controllers and headset connected to the charger. It will first charge your headset, then it will charge your controllers. I have to admit, that was a little disappointing as I expected it would charge all 3 at the same time but I’m sure this has to do with power consumption and would probably need its own power adapter to accommodate it maybe? If you charging it for the day/night then its nothing to worry about which is the usual case. If you want the controller charged first or the headset only etc.. You would need to adjust accordingly on which device gets plugged in.
The one thing that you will have to pay attention to is when you insert the controllers in their charging ports. Sometimes they don’t charge and it’s because it’s not align with the contact points. You may have to give a slight rotation on the controller or take it out and put it back in. Because of this, and the ability to only charge one device at a time, gets 4 stars. However, is it worth the price for what you get? Absolutely! The knuckle strap kit is the real icing on this deal!
