Love this alarm, it’s easy to set up, lightweight and easy to pack if travelling. So bright it actually feels like sunlight on my face when I wake up. So cheap too. Love i
Well ibought this as i had heared good things about it but i dont like waking up to light. I have sensetive eyes so it did not work for me, my son tryed it and he loves it, he gets up at 5am to go to the gym and says it is much easier waking to the light and sound each morning. If you want a lumlamp this is a good quality easy to use product. One drawback you have to have sond and light for the sleep function, i would have prefered the light only to relax to.
Great illuminated alarm clock. Does the job of more expensive ones for a fraction of the price. 11 year old son set it up with no issues. It has made a big difference in the mornings during the dark, Scottish winter. Lovely to wake up to light and bird song.
The product works well as a Sunrise alarm clock, and the FM radio works ok. My one disappointment is that you cannot use the Sunset feature without also using the sleep sounds (which i find really annoying)
I was skeptical and wanted the hatch one, but now I am so glad I opted for this version as it does the same job for a fraction of the price.
It looks good in any setting and you can customise the length of alarm, sound and brightness- and set 2 alarms/radio stations (I use this for weekdays and weekends!)
I bought a longer cable https://amzn.eu/d/855arhs I’ve been trying to find a radio alarm clock with a light and relaxing sounds. You can have a slow wake up and listen to the radio – there are several stations (make sure the wire is fairly stretched out at FIRST, then once you have the stations programmed, no real need). I love the different colour lights, I prefer a mild yellow (pictured) to help me relax before bed. If you want, you can have it bright enough to use as a lamp so I’ve now removed my old lamp and use this instead:). Brilliant!!!!
We much prefer it to go to sleep with and it very calming. We fall asleep faster. Waking up doesn’t work as well when you have different schedules however it does have two alarm functions. Wake up doesn’t work as well in the summer because its alright light outside before the clock starts to wake you
– Adjustable brightness level for time display – can be completely turned off.
– 3 acceptably calm alarm sounds to choose from (the rest are too loud/obnoxious)
– Relatively cheap
Cons:
– Quite complicated to set up, but once you figure it out, it isn’t too bad.
– Not easy to turn alarm off.
– The light level starts out too bright. Even when set to the lowest level, the light coming on wakes me up if I am facing the clock. It is not possible to turn off completely, and minimum time before alarm is 10minutes.
– The sleeping aid sounds are awful and absolutely not relaxing.
Very easy to set up. Like the 2 x alarm setting, one for the week and one for the weekend
I love the good range of brightness for the sunrise, and range of volume for the alarm (and you can choose to have no alarm sound at all). I like the volume low so it only wakes me up gently.
The sun gradually rises in brightness over the time period you set.
There are varying options for the alarm sound, or none at all if you wish. I chose the radio, but there are nature sounds you can choose e.g. birds tweeting. Although the nature sounds are very nice they are very short and then repeat, which gets quite annoying, which is my only negative.
Others have mentioned the instructions being difficult to follow. I didn’t find this personally, and thought they were surprisingly well written for something coming from China! I would recommend you follow the directions closely and work through in order as there are a lot of options to go through (and some you’ll probably not use). You may also want a magnifying glass!! The buttons on the clock are small and quite hard to clearly see the symbol in order to match it up with the ones shown in the instructions!
I’ve been using it for a 7 weeks now and I love it. Once it’s setup you don’t really need to touch it again. There are two alarm settings you can apply, so I have one for weekday and one for weekend. You just need to remember to turn them on/off as required.
I’m very happy with this purchase, for the price it is excellent.
I love that you can turn off the time display at night which provides an alarm clock with no annoying light interfering with sleep. The light options are so varied and the sunset option is really great, sometimes I use it when I am getting ready for bed to provide a nice, calm, increasingly dark light to help me get in the mood for sleep.
One thing I would like is maybe more sound options. I am not a great morning person and so I find myself becoming irritated by even the few calming sound options in the morning. However, I ended up switching the sound to the radio to wake me which I thought I would never use, but in fact I find it great! There is always a new sound to irritate me so I don’t associate the sound of birds, waves etc. with having to get out of bed. It is also cheaper than a lot of other options which is great.
I would also like to find an easier way to turn down the volume in the morning- I don’t think the volume buttons work when I wake up and realise the volume on the radio required to wake me is too loud for me to continue listening as I get ready for the day. I am sorry if I’m wrong, but frantically pressing the volume buttons in an irritated, tired mood doesn’t seem to work for me, I think it may remain at the pre-set volume from the night before?
NOTE TO SELF DON’T MISPLACE INSTRUCTIONS
I found the light easy to use, though I would advise to read the instructions and also use the useful little clear stickers it comes with to attach to the light so it’s easy to see which button is which whilst you get used to the location of the buttons.
I really like that you can set the alarm with or without a sound, the volume of the sound and what brightness you want the light to go up to over what period of time.
I have advised friends to get one of these and look forward to their feedback
