the main cons for me are: screen brightness level – is not always enough (Iam working in front of wide window), and there is no fingerprint to unlock PC.
My previous laptop was a HP250 with icore3 5th generation, 8GB RAM and a 1TB HDD. The screen on this Vivobook is impressive and is noticeably superior to my old laptop. The speed on operation is certainly better than my HP, although in fairness I thought it would be more snappy than it has proved to be considering the elevated specs. I am not a big fan of the trackpad but the keyboard seems to be good enough for my requirements. The overall finish of the case is quality although keeping the sliver free from marks will be an ongoing task.
I liked the fact that this model had 2 USB3-Type-A ports. I noticed that many other budget Asus laptops currently sold on Amazon only have a single USB3-Type-A. I would assume that this is a later generation model.
Battery life states 6 hours from other online websites. It seems to be around that figure although I have not clocked it specifically
Its 4 times faster than my old 8th gen i5. I use it for video editing, not games.
Haven’t used the camera, so can’t comment on that.
Speakers are good, not that loud, but clear and good enough for a laptop.
Real value for money.
