Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is good laptop for the most office work, for quite low price. The CPU is quick enough and 16gb of ram is a current optimal level.
the main cons for me are: screen brightness level – is not always enough (Iam working in front of wide window), and there is no fingerprint to unlock PC.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good laptop for office work

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersPurchased as a gift for, mostly, office work. The laptop has to churn a huge Thuderbird database, perform lots of docs/PDF editing, lots of web browser tabs and so on – everything works perfectly. The battery holds the charge way better than expected. With the current performance level this laptop will last years no problem.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFresh look for windows, Window 11 is very fast helped by Ryzen 7 eight core processor, 16 GB Ram & SSD. Any update take just few minutes compare to Window 10 which take many hours. Strange that the battey for this unit is buildin and can not be removed from outside like other laptops.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI was looking for a laptop that had a bit more power and speed without spending a fortune. The Asus delivered. It was easy to set up on my own and I’ve enjoyed the increased speed and size and reduced weight making it easy to carry around.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersHaving just purchased this laptop to replace an ailing HP Envy I had I have to say I’m very impressed. For a fraction of the price of what the HP was, this runs so much better and with the AMD R7 processor and 16Gb of RAM, is quick enough to play games and work in Adobe Creative Suite. The fact there is no backlight on the keyboard is no problem for me, I never liked it on the HP anyway. The battery last long enough to watch movies and the video playback is great. I’d say the build quality feels as good or better than the HP. Generally, really happy with it.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersPurchased Nov 22 for 479. My requirements for a new laptop (with a degree of futureproofing) were 16GB RAM, RYZEN7 or icore7, 512SSD – and all within a 500 budget. This laptop met those requirements and thus far I can say it has been a good purchase.

My previous laptop was a HP250 with icore3 5th generation, 8GB RAM and a 1TB HDD. The screen on this Vivobook is impressive and is noticeably superior to my old laptop. The speed on operation is certainly better than my HP, although in fairness I thought it would be more snappy than it has proved to be considering the elevated specs. I am not a big fan of the trackpad but the keyboard seems to be good enough for my requirements. The overall finish of the case is quality although keeping the sliver free from marks will be an ongoing task.

I liked the fact that this model had 2 USB3-Type-A ports. I noticed that many other budget Asus laptops currently sold on Amazon only have a single USB3-Type-A. I would assume that this is a later generation model.

Battery life states 6 hours from other online websites. It seems to be around that figure although I have not clocked it specifically

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersGot this computer after a lot of research. The spec is one of the best for the price. The Ryzen 4800H is still an excellent processor even in 2022 out performing most newer ones AMD has released. 16 gb of ram is also a bonus as well as most laptops only came with 8gb. For 479 which i paid, its an excellent price for its performance.

Its 4 times faster than my old 8th gen i5. I use it for video editing, not games.

Haven’t used the camera, so can’t comment on that.
Speakers are good, not that loud, but clear and good enough for a laptop.

    Real value for money.
