Took me a little while and some googling to figure out the fit, but eventually was a perfect replacement for my Sony PS-LX310BT. Sound quality seems the same as my last one, might go elliptical for my next replacement. Very happy 🙂
Works with Rega Planar P1 Plus. The Rega Carbon isn’t much more expensive, but I thought I’d try the Audio-Technica as I’d seen a couple of reviews that mentioned the Rega Carbon was this one in disguise, but that the AT was marginally better. Somehow it is, I agree. Offers clearer highs and crisper bass. Very happy.
Upgraded my technics deck last year with the elliptical (white) stylus and although it was an improvement on the original technics stylus the sound was lacking. As it was due a new stylus I thought I’d give the conical version a try. The sound is a vast improvement on my old 45s. Richer and more vibrant. I will definitely be ordering more when the time comes
My entry level AT-LP60X is two years old and I haven’t been the perfect owner when it comes to changing the original stylus that came with it. I looked for alternative ones that would be an improvement, but I couldn’t really justify an overpriced stylus that’s half the price of the turntable itself. (I’d rather save that money to get a better deck with an adjustable tonearm etc.) I’m really glad I went for AT3600L – my new records sound amazing again. Don’t expect a miracle of course, but if you’re looking for a replacement, this does the job perfectly. It’s also really easy to install – just make sure that you hold the tonearm steady. If you’re a beginner and in doubt there are super helpful YouTube videos!
I recently upgraded my turntable’s stylus with the Audio Technica ATN91R Conical Stylus, and I’m really happy with it. The sound quality is noticeably better than the old stylus, and it’s also much more durable.
The ATN91R is a conical stylus, which means that it has a rounded tip. This type of stylus is known for its smooth sound reproduction, and it’s a good choice for a variety of music genres.
The ATN91R is also very easy to install. Just remove the old stylus and screw in the new one. It’s a great way to give your turntable a performance boost without breaking the bank.
I am by no means a music technician, although this plays my vinyls really well and clear. It has lasted well and I have had no issues, so would recommend.
Easy fit, a little more responsive than the green one but not as good as the red or brown. An ok sound and great for the price coupled with a good amp
Very happy with this purchase.
Bought as a replacement for my Rega Carbon on my P1. Straight away I noticed an improvement on the sound. The bass is more predominant and there are now new parts of my vinyls which I am now picking out.
Very easy to install and I am as blind as a bat.
Big thumbs up from me for value and quality of sound. Very surprised given the low cost.
Big thanks to the delivery driver too, working in this heat is a nightmare and he was chirpy and smiling. I gave him a ton of pop to help cool him down a little.
Cheers
Good value replacement stylus for the Denon DP-200USB. Sound quality is just as good as the original Denon Stylus which I could not find anywhere. I ended up buying a cheap compatible stylus on Ebay which fell apart after playing just 2 records. So if like me you a hunting around for a replacement stylus for your own Denon DP-200 USB turntable rest assured this one will do the job.
Hard to review this item. If it fits your tone arm then it’s a good basic stylus.
Cheap, nice enough sound… Etc.
I bought for a Sony ps-lx310bt and it’s a good match
Bought this after my other needle broke and I’ve been happy ever since
Clipped right onto the cartridge with zero problems, plays like a charm and I’m pretty sure it sounds slightly better than my last one too!
Would definitely recommend, might even buy some more just in case!
Much better quality than the original needle supplied with the record player. I originally tried to put this stylus on and it did not fit but it was my error as I didn’t realise the original needle housing was still attached from when it had broken. Once I worked that out and removed it, this one fitted perfectly!
Great replacement for my Sony hx500 turntable. I have accidentally broke the original stylus and this serves as good if no better than the stock one. Easy to install and only difference is the colour.
Hi I have An audio technica turntable and this stylus fits well and sounds good on LPs I am very pleased so i have give it 5 star on every thing My turntable is ATN91R
As written on many audiophile and vinyl forums this is one highly regarded stylus.
I replaced the original carbon stylus that came with my rega planar 1. It is essentially the same stylus but with a different badge. Simply unclipped the old one and clipped this on. Easy, no adjustment needed.
The sound is very, very good. Nice balance and vibrant with punchy bass. I listen to quite a variety of vinyl; jazz, classical, rock, metal, reggae and soul. All sound really nice and listening is a pleasure with this stylus.
I listen pretty much every day for about 1 hour, maybe a little more at weekends and my rega carbon stylus lasted for 1 year. I would therefore expect this, being the same stylus, to last the same.
Its such a good price I purchased two and have an instant replacement now on hand. I will then replace the ‘back-up’ one when I have when I switch them over.
The only issue is they sell out quickly, quite simply the day they were in stock I believe there were about 24 in stock and by approx 4pm that day they were all sold out and then it takes sometimes 1-2 weeks for the stock to.come in again. So if you want one and they are in stock I wouldn’t deliberate as they go fast!
They are 100 % genuine and sold on prime so they are delivered next day for subscribers. No complaints, really happy customer.
I think it should be good but not with Sony lx300 during which it jumps/skips despite a hifi website saying this was perfect upgrade for it. Luckily there is one which is actually designed for turntable. Do not get this for Sony lx300.
