Fast shipping, decent packaging and does what it’s designed to do. I’ve only used the m6 mandrel and used 12 Riv nuts soo far but I’ve had no issues with it. Its decent quality, especially considering the price. I’d buy again if needed.
I bought rivnut gun for a small project on my campervan which I completed within days of receiving the tool,
Which left me very satisfied with the project and the rivnut gun.
his is a great nut riveter to have. Have been using another brand with longer handles and found it to be very hard and difficult to compress the rivet’s. Borrowed this one from a friend at work and its just so easy. so bought one for myself the same day!
Bought these for a particular job and not knowing much about them based my purchase on reviews and price. Came in hard case and a supply of rivnuts but no instructions. However I worked out how to use the tool and it did the job. If I were to criticise then it would be that the handles are short….longer handles give more leverage and job done with less effort but it may have been the case that I was inserting and biting up the rivnuts in heavier duty material than the tool is really designed for. Good quality product and good value for money.
Arrived quickly, well boxed, exactly as described. There’s a decent amount of nuts included to practice with or even just do a small job straight away. It’s easy to use and does a great job. Never used rivnuts before, but I now completely get it – much better than screwing into metal. Summary: solid piece of kit, great value for money.
Instructions missing. More a review of Amazon’s automated help system which gave me no opportunity to ask if I could be sent a link to download the Instructions.
So if any one is monitoring the reviews- can you do this?
Managed to work it out but would prefer to have the instructions.
Please.
Nice kit that seems very robust and well made.
I got tired of the instructions falling out every time I used it, and also having to store an extra box of Aluminium Rivnuts so I took to the case with a Dremel cut off disk.
1. Make 2 slots for the spanner tool to live in a better place.
2. Cut out the space for the Rivnut box.
3. Slot away the instructions.
4 Place the Extra Rivnut box in it’s new home.
5. Close the lid
Perfect.
Fantastic tool, very solid. Doing a great job adding rivbuts to my van. Generous selection of mandrills and nuts to get started with. The only downer is lack of instructions, so you have to look up generic ones on YouTube etc
Love this product, easy to use, the quality is decent and comes with a good few rivnuts to get you started on you projects. Also brilliant and fast delivery as always
Excellent tool, works exactly as it should. No instructions but there is plenty of information online on using a rivnut gun.
Case is well laid out with plenty of rivnuts to get started with
I needed to remove the bumper from my Suzuki Swift but the 3 bolts holding the bumper to the radiator support panel had corroded and had to be drilled out. The threads in the panel were no more and access to put nuts on the back of the panel wasn’t available so I purchased this tool to insert rivet nuts in the panel. I enlarged the holes to 9mm and used M6 rivet nuts to reattach the bumper and it worked perfectly.
A friend of mine owns his own motor repair garage and when I showed him this tool he was amazed and ordered ome straight away. He said normally he would have drilled the bolts out and welded nuts to the panel and he would have charged about 90 to do this so all in all 38 for this tool is a bargain. Since purchasing this tool I have used it for a number of jobs including mounting various relays, airhorn and reliable earth points under the bonnet.
Some reviews mention that the smaller mandrills have snapped but in my opinion this might be caused by being a bit heavy handed.
Well im new to the rivnut game, but honestly these little badgers have changed my life and in fact our camper-van conversion.
Was sceptical to start with but when installed properly they really hold!
As for this particular set it seems well made for the money, wouldn’t take it work and abuse it but for home and garage its a must have.
Nice assortment of nuts for trying out, obviously youll need to buy a pack of which ever size you end up using most.
Easy to overdo it and ruin the nut by crimping too much so worth practicing a few times on scrap.
