Nice, robust meat fork. Takes the weight of a whole chicken or joint of meat with ease, and makes lifting out of a roasting tin much easier!
Went through the dishwasher with no ill effects.
    Would recommend.

A strong and heavy duty bit of kit that does what it’s supposed to do very well. It should last a lifetime and, if you’re not too fussed about your kitchen utensils matching you’re kitchen dcor, this will be equally as useful inside the home!

This hook is simply but very handy, the sharp point makes it hook easily into the steak so you can flip is over. It can be used in a bbq or even inside when cooking in a pan. I find it very handy as using tongs to turn neat often takes some of the seasoning off but the hook leaves it all intact!

Using this flipper, flipping meat has become easier. It holds well even for heavier cuts and doesn’t splash juices around. Being made of high-quality metal, it feels durable too. Its curved hook holds the meat securely, which is helpful when transferring from the pan to the plate.

This is a good quality meat fork. It has a long handle ideal for bbqs. The points came with plastic covers to protect from how sharp they are when not in use. I’ve also used this on roast dinner joints. The only thing is I would prefer it didn’t have a bottle opener on the handle as I find this uncomfortable, sharp and unnecessary. My husband on the other hand who is chief bbq’er has informed me it is not only essential but very useful!

A very useful tool if you like to barbecue, especially now that the barbecue season is approaching. It’s actually a tool that can also be used for turning meat in the pan or in the oven.
The tool feels sturdy and durable, which is noticeable in its weight, which is not excessive either. The quality and thickness of the central rod is very good. The tip is obviously thinner but it should last, and at most it will bend a little if you drop it right off the tip. It is sharp enough to go right through the meat, which is why it is protected with plastic. It is long enough to use it without putting your hand too close to the fire.
Near the handle, which is quite comfortable, there is a bottle opener.

This is a very handy tool when doing BBQ and mostly steaks on grill. This will help to flip meat with no trouble. You don’t usually get this in BBQ tools kit. Well made and useful tool.

I got this to use with my barbecue, and I found it handy to “prick and pick up” sausages and steaks.

However, where this has really shone is as a kitchen item. For Sunday roasts this fork is excellent. I used to use tongs or a regular table fork to hold my roast while I carved it, but it would inevitable roll around or my hand would ache. This however is perfect, you can hold a join of meat firmly in place whilst carving slices.

As it’s just a fork, it’s easy to clean. The handle is easy to hold. and the length is good enough to be able to pick things off the barbecue without getting too much heat on your hands.

This is one of those tools which I did not know I needed until I tried it. It is great for flipping steak on a BBQ!

The long handle keeps your hands well away from the heat and the bottle opener is a handy extra touch. It is also dishwasher safe which is great for clean up. You just have to be careful with it and where you store it as it is sharp!

This pigtail hook barbeque tool comes in a colourfully printed retail box.
It is somewhat larger than I expected it to be.
It would make a perfect gift for the Pitmaster with everything.
It is easy to hold and works well in the job it’s intended to do.
With this device you can use the entire grill area without having to worry about leaving space to shoehorn a pair of tongues or spatula into.
My only real concern would be that it’ll be easy to hurt yourself with it if you were not very careful with it.
    Happy to help

Very nice roast fork for bbq or home cooking.

Stainless fork section seems strong and sharp with a decent length to it.

Handle has a nice soft touch silicone grip, with a decent shape to it, giving you maximum grip easily.

Very easy to clean and works really well.

Now added to my bbq collection, and will be getting a lot of use for sure.

    Would definitely recommend

This was ordered with BBQ season in mind. Turning meat can be troublesome at times, but this has made it simpler. The “pigtail” is bigger than I expected for some reason, but that makes it easier to stick in to the and get a firm hold before turning it over. It’s great to check the juices as well, so you can see how its cooking.

Used this today while cooking sausages and burgers for the kids, was really surprised at how well and effortlessly they do turn the food.

Only small negative I have is the length, you hand does get a little warm when trying to reach food at the back of the grill.

Can you have enough tools for the BBQ? Here’s one that I didn’t know I needed until now. Do I still need one?
Essentially, this hook is a convenient way to flip the meat on the barbeque. With a busy grill, sliding in a standard flipping tool can be unwieldy, whereas this tool requires no run-up or clearance. You simply stab the middle of a partially cooked product and it’s easy to flip it over. The only consideration is, that the food does need to be firm enough for the hook not to tear through the meat. It’s a good incentive (and timer) not to flip too early,
The tool itself is well made and looks like it will last. It is dishwashable if needed. Is it essential, no. This is unlikely to replace any tools you use, but it certainly can compliment the set.

This meat fork is useful for holding down juicy and slippery cuts of meat or steaks. Its better to rest them, but even then they can still be too hot to hold with your hand, and so something to stabilise the meat is needed. It works really well for that,
The fork is long enough and well designed to get meat in large pots, dutch ovens and the like, or to flip stuff that is cooking away in the slow cooker, so it is pretty useful.
Ergonomic handle, and good solid construction quality. Handle is plastic so it might deform, or get burnt by accident, but so far so good.
It comes as described, is good value, and I have found it useful.

My husband loves barbecuing and must have every available gadget and utensil 😉 This is a stainless steel “pigtail” food flipper. It has a very sharp point (which has a plastic guard on it – remove before use!) Also there is a bottle opener on the end and a hanging hole. Feels ergonomic to use and it really helps when turning steaks on the BBQ or transferring to a plate. Is well made and is dishwasher safe too. Good value for a well made item.

15 for a carving fork is new to me, but apparently it’s a reasonable price.

It has a silicone handle to prevent burning, and the prongs are sharp. Mine did come with a slight scratch on it, but not the end of the world. It also has a handy bottle opener at the end, but I feel like this was more of a show-piece as it will probably end up causing some injury! It would have been better for this to have an additional such as a handle or even a second utensil like a carving knife instead.

It’s dishwasher safe, which is a bonus!

First impressions, this feels very robust, a nice sturdy grip with a nice sharp hook (don’t forget to remove the clear cover before using) it also has an integrated bottle opener which is a nice touch.
This works very well with all pork, lamb and steak (I haven’t tried it with chicken) for flipping the meat and transferring it from the grill.
An excellent tool for any BBQ enthusiast and would make a great fathers day gift.

This long reaching BBQ flipper is something you didn’t know you needed until you have one. I used it extensively on my first cook on the Kamado this year and it can lift and flip with no troubles at all. The spike helps it hold the meat perfectly. I don’t tend to drink much but some of you will appreciate the incorporated bottle opener too.

This won’t be living in the shed with the rest of my BBQ equipment as it would be really handy for Sunday dinner as well when transferring meat from the tin to rest. Due to it’s curved nature, I do wish it had a better protector than the little flexible piece of plastic as storage is going to be tricky, as it is fairly sharp.

One thing I did like is that I could open up the kamado hinged grill rack with it as well when it was hot.

Overall, it’s incredibly well made and very comfortable in the hand. I can’t say whether or not it’s good value as i haven’t seen one before but it is going to feature in every cook I do so i’d say it’s a very good purchase.

It’s not cheap, but seems to be well made and it should last. It’s also a bit different, having a bottle opener built into the handle, which is handy if you need a beer while you’re cooking.
The handle is quite sturdy. I would have liked some kind of chord attached so I could hang it from one of the hooks in my kitchen, but the hole in the handle is just big enough to fit the hooks.

This is a fab tool for grilling and barbqueing; it makes flipping so much easier. Plus the bottle opener is handy.

Feels quite solid and well-made. The tip is quite sharp so store carefully.

I have so many different BBQ tools but I have to say I’ve never seen one of these before. I thought I’d give it a go and it’s surprisingly effective. The end is very sharp which allows it to easily penetrate pretty much any food on the BBQ and easily flip it thanks to the curved design. This won’t be suitable for some foods such as sausages as you’ll have to pierce the skin if you want to flip but for most foods it works really well. Some foods such as chicken pieces I find can get a bit destroyed when using tongues to lift them from the grill as the skin can get torn away. This is a great solution for meat like that. Consideration will have to be taken for storage due to the sharp tip and although it comes with a plastic protective piece it probably won’t last long. Glad to have discovered this.

Not too much to say about this, well made, feels sturdy. Handle is comfortable to hold and easy to hold a roast beef joint nice and steady so it can be cut with carving knife.
Materials seem decent enough quality, and at 15, it’s not cheap, but seems reasonable. Good product.

This is a good food flipper. It is made with good materials for the price and feels solid. Not too light and not flimsy. The nice long handle will fit most hand sizes. Convenient bottle opener.
Check my photo for an idea of hand size, my hand is roughly 20cm from wrist to middle fingertip.

This item surprised me. It’s really well made and much more useful than I ever could have imagined. This is a simple but effective tool a firm handle attached to a long stainless steel tool with a curved hook on the end. Really easy to stab food for turning over, flipping a burger or steak or use it to support food while you grab it with a pair of tongs. I’ve only used it a couple of times but it feels great quality so I expect it will last years so long as I keep it clean. Recommended

Sharp pigtail shaped meat flipper. Great invention to pick up meat and literally just flip. Really sharp tip comes with a small plastic protector but this will easily get lost so this tool MUST be stored away safely. Useful hanging feature and bottle opener. Has some weight to it for sturdiness. Stainless steel for non rust longevity. Ergonomic handle. Great tool idea.

When I moved to Germany in 1988 (35 years ago – wow!) I was given a set of kitchen utensils made by a company called Zwilling. The carving fork that made up the set was a lovely piece of equipment to use, feeling really good in the hand, and I still use it whenever I have meat to carve (Zwilling carving forks sell at just under 90 a go nowadays…)

This fork feels nicer in the hand than my Zwilling product, since the large rubber handle makes for a very secure grip (good when you’re working with slippery, greasy, meat slicing). The tines on the fork and the edges don’t feel as good as the Zwilling product – they feel as if they just formed out of a pressed sheet of steel, so the edges feel a little angular and rough compared to the Zwilling’s rounded smoothness. However, given that I have never had a piece of meat complain about the textures of the implements used for cooking, I don’t give a tremendous priority to this aspect of the tool – the fork pierces and holds materials well, and that’s all that matters.

I definitely feel that this makes a worthwhile replacement for my Zwilling fork and it can be recommended.

The BBQ Moments Stainless Steel Pigtail Food Flipper is an excellent addition to the BBQ tool kit. It is also a useful utensil for conventional cooking. Designed to enable the cook to secure different types of meat in order to flip them on the grill or to transfer them to plates etc. The metal element and hook of the flipper is made of stainless steel of sufficient thickness to hold even the heaviest joint of meat without any fear of bending or breaking.

The handle is ergonomically designed and is comfortable to hold. It has a built in bottle opener, which will be a feature welcomed by the seasoned grill meister. However, the handle is very smooth and might become slippery if hands are greasy, sweaty or wet. Some slight stippling or other form of texturing might be useful to counter this, but this is just a personal preference.

The overall length of the Food Flipper is sufficient to keep the user’s hand clear of the heat without being unwieldy.

The Food Flipper is dishwasher safe.

The BBQ Moments Stainless Steel Pigtail Food Flipper is obviously designed for use with the right hand, so assumedly left handed people will have to adapt and overcome!

Overall, The BBQ Moments Stainless Steel Pigtail Food Flipper is practical, well made and robust. At current price of 14.99 represents good value for money.

    Would recommend.

This is quite a large BBQ fork at 32cm which is ideal for cooking outdoors when turning food on the grill. The handle is plastic with a silicone feel in the ‘OXO’ style with a hole at the end for hanging on a hook. It would have been better fitted with a cord or leather tag for me but you can always do this yourself. The blade is cut from a stainless steel sheet and shaped so it doesn’t quite have the strength that a cast one would have. The prongs are sharp enough and I had no trouble spiking my steaks and turning them. There is also a useful bottle opener set in the handle. The fork is dishwasher safe.

Useful in the kitchen for holding a piece of meat or chicken when carving. Easy to hold and ergonomic in design ready for the barbie this summer.

The handle gives a positive feel when you hold it, a neat little addition is a bottle opener. The ends of the fork are extremely sharp.
Great that it’s dishwasher proof, no messy washing up.

First impression is that this is a bit chunky looking, but certainly well made!
The handle is large and rubbery and has a bottle opener built into it, which I guess is handy if doing a barbecue in the garden. You can open your beer while you’re at it!
The fork part is a sort of pressed steel, which has been brushed and polished to quite a nice finish.
For nigh on fifteen quid it’s not a cheap thing, and I have to admit it might not have made my shortlist when shopping around for one because of that, but it turns out it’s a pretty solid and well made carving fork.
