As a side light this is very good. You have three settings for white obviously it gets brighter the more you press it. In colour mode it is still bright enough but I haven’t managed to stop changing colours.
There are some not so good features as well.
Bluetooth mode. When you answer your phone it comes through the speaker, which is very annoying especially if its a private call. The clock will stay lit as long as its in Bluetooth mode, deactivate Bluetooth and the clock dims to nothing unless you hit the right button or the light switch.
The battery runs down pretty fast in Bluetooth mode even faster if you have a light on.
Unless like me you leave it plugged in you’ll soon get bored of plugging and unplugging it all the time so you need to place it close to a plug socket.
Purchased for my 11 year old son and it it fantastic. Loud without being distorted, easy to setup and the various modes on the led lamp are nice too.
Would highly recommend this as a gift for a child that likes a bit of tech.
I bought this for my daughter who has trouble sleeping. It’s worked a treat. The colours are beautiful & there’s such a wide range. The sound quality is great. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is it’s a bit fiddly to program.
Only unboxed and tested briefly before wrapping up again, but excluding the alarm function (which I have not tested), this seems to function as advertised. Sound quality is reasonable, light works. Battery capacity seems as advertised (judging from consumed power for a charge).
One feature that I had incorrectly anticipated was that this would be able to charge a phone – it cannot, it only supplies the standard USB limit of 200mA (and complains in Chinese if you do connect a phone). It would have been nice to be able to daisy-chain this device as a bedside light/charge point, but that isn’t going to work. On this basis, I think it is kind of expensive.
Bought for my daughter for her 12th birthday. She loves it. It is a nice size to sit on her bedside table. She really likes that she can listen to her music through it. She has figured out how to turn the lights off as it wasn’t clear in the instructions and when I do it it does flash a couple of times, which is why I gave it 4 stars.
I recently bought this bluetooth speaker for my son’s 11th birthday. When we unboxed it, the light worked immediately and the quality of the product looked great – however, the display just didn’t come on so we couldn’t use any of the other functions. The instructions gave an email address to contact for technical support – so thought I would try my luck. Within 24 hours a customer service rep got back to me with some instructions of how to reset the display. They were very friendly and knew exactly how to tackle the problem. Since then, we’ve got all the functions to work. The different light settings are great – quality of the speakers really good for the price and bluetooth set-up was simple. It’s a great present – I would recommend
There are 48 different colours to choose from, so spoilt for choice really, I’m sure there is at least one colour someone will like to use. Great for using as a soothing and relaxing night lamp when going to sleep.
Last but not least, the alarm function is great as it makes sure you are never late for work/school etc. So this is why this product is amazing as it can be used for many things as it’s multifunctional. Definitely worth the investment.
