These lights are great, they are bright and have different brightness and mode settings! They are also very easy to install and take off, it comes with two charging cables and doesn’t take too long to charge either. When they are being fitted to the bike there is different size fittings to fit the different size handlebars etc. When they are fitted they are stable they don’t move about or shake when being used/ridden. Very happy with them!
Great product! The lights are bright, sturdy, easy to charge, rain-proof. Would highly recommend! Have been using them every day for a while and so far I am really satisfied with my purchase.
I used to use a more expensive bike light, but got stolen. I shift to this cost-effective one, and I like it because it is more stable on my bike and light is bright enough. Also there is a side light that I can turn on to increase the visibility during night for safety.
Excellent lights and great value for your money.
Very bright!
Different settings from one front head spot light to separate defused head light to both on at the same time, very bright.
Rear light with different settings of permanently on to different flashing speeds again very Bright.
Supplied with two usb charging cables and quality rubber fixing straps.
Excellent value for your money.
Highly recommend!!!
The light on this with both on is brighter than the Sun!! Like the torch part on the top. It looses a star due to no flash on the front lights, it’s only on the torch part.
We have had that on a bike but we sold a bike now . It was very good when my partner use it. He was very pleased and everything worked perfectly. He would buy it agai
The light has the ability to rotate left and right if your going over bumpy ground it moves by itself . This is my only issue but it could cause real problems .
These are really easy to install, just rubber straps that go over any of your various bars. The front light is really strong and has various modes (be careful not to flash yourself in the eyes when you change it to the top mounted light). It’s handy that this light has a battery level led and can double as a charger for your phone and other devices.
The rear light is a bit lacking. There’s no battery level indicator so you’ll only know when it needs charging when you turn it on for a ride and by the time you get off your bike again it’s gone off. When I plugged it in I saw that 1 LED started flashing and was excited that it might show how much is charged by using more LEDs the more it’s charged but it doesn’t. Other than that it’s a serviceable back light with multiple modes.
Just be aware the head unit is very large and bulky. You need to remove it when parked in a public place.
Edit: I’ve been using it for a few weeks now. Overall the battery life is quite good. I can also confirm that both units are weatherproof.
Happy buyer!
In common with Trev’s review (and probably others) the rear light does not stay on which could be potentially dangerous. I’ve cycled a couple of times with it for under an hour and when I’ve finished the light is off. Recharged it and timed it to see how long it lasts. Seems to last around 30 mins before it dims then cuts out. The light acts as if it is on a timer as you can switch it back on and it might stay on for another 30 mins.
The cheapo 1 rear bike lights from the pound shops that take a AAA battery can last for weeks before dimming and are far safer.
Front light is bright enough, the top facing lights are a bit gimmicky though and not much use for cycling.
The two lights are very bright and exceptionally easy to fit.
My only reservation is that the red rear light that only lasts a few hours – much less than the front light.
You can charge the red rear light using the front, but i believe it would have made more sense to have the pair of lights lasting roughly the same time. A very good set of bike lights.
so i brought these to put on my bike in preparation for cycling to work when the darker weather arrives, first impression was wow they are bright, very light and easy to install. the front light is fantastic i cannot fault it and would most certainly buy another one, however the rear light will not stay on, it has multiple modes of operation and no matter what mode i have it on it will stay on for about a minute then turn off. this is the only thing that has let this package down. i would buy again on the basis of i believe i just have a faulty one and it was cheap enough it was worth it for the front light.
if it was just a review of the front light id give it 5* however the faulty rear one brings it to 4*
i would still recommend this product tho!
These lights are really cheap, and that is a big thing to consider when evaluating them. They feel sturdy /durable enough, and work perfectly well, with good, definite presses required to activate the front light, and a, pretty much, flush button on the back light, making accidental activation in bag or pocket unlikely.
I haven’t timed how long each light lasts before needing a recharge of the built in battery, but it doesn’t feel particularly long, if I’m honest. I’ve only charged them 2 or 3 times so far, so the battery may have more to offer after a few more charge/discharge cycles (I believe this can be the case with rechargeable batteries). I don’t cycle much in the dark, and the journeys are pretty short at about 2-3 miles a time. I’d estimate that I’m getting around 15+ miles in total before needing to recharge the front light.
The back light lasts a bit longer, but very concerningly, doesn’t seem to get dimmer at all, it just goes out when the battery gets low. When it first happened I thought it was faulty, as it was flashing brightly when I turned it on. But I charged it and it worked perfectly again. All bike lights I’ve had before get gradually dimmer, so you can see that the battery is running down. I’d say that that is the biggest fault of this set, and I will almost certainly buy another back light to replace this one.
The 3 front light modes are just fine for me. The first is a decently bright, straight ahead beam; the second is a slightly brighter (I think) but wider spread beam (this is ideal for when I’m cycling through wooded areas as it illuminates branches etc leaning over the path from the sides, that could whip you in the face); and the third setting is a combination of the first two, which is really usefully bright and wide spreading.
To sum up:
The lights feel well made and have a decent brightness and field of coverage. The battery life, so far, is nothing special, just about ok for my uses. The bike attachments seem strong enough. Considering the low price, built in batteries, usefulness of the beam settings, and free Prime delivery, I’d rate these as a fairly decent buy. The back light dying without fading first is a potential deal breaker though, but if you’re willing to charge it every 10 miles or so, then it shouldn’t ever go out while you’re riding.
Got the set for just under ten pounds, so not a bad start.
Front light wouldn’t power on out of the box, fair enough , so thought I’d check to see what the capacity was.
Listing says 2800mAh which sounds good.
And charged up the rear light and left it on high output red, to see how long it lasted whilst waiting the 3-4hrs to charge the front.
So, 3hrs 50mins later, charge put in was 2554mAh, which isn’t far off the 2800.
That may improve during charge/discharge cycles
However, to note that the rear light lasted just over 3hrs on the steady burn red, is a little disappointing.
Ok if your rides are shorter, and it’s quick to charge, but you need to know this.
Haven’t timed the front light, that’s due to be done, but thought it might be helpful to others to know a bit more.
Update
Rear light took 366mAh in 52mins 39secs to full.
