I am thrilled with the baby carrier I purchased as a gift! The material is incredibly nice and surpasses the Ergobaby Aura carrier by far. The cotton fabric makes it ideal for summer, ensuring both baby and parent stay comfortable and cool. The carrier’s design and functionality are perfect, providing a secure and snug fit for the baby, and it feels supportive for the wearer as well. I couldn’t be happier with this choice and would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable and comfortable baby carrier, especially for warmer weather.
I bought this before our little girl was born after reading recommendations. This was honestly such a lifesaver, she would fall asleep in this. We would walk the dog easily with this and know that she was safe and content.
It is complicated to put on but once you have the hang of it it’s ok. Takes around 2 minutes.
The main downside is there is no instructions for different positions once the baby has head control, can you use this with the baby facing out, they do no tell you on the box and there is no instructions?
Best thing I have bought, fits beautiful feels so soft and my baby loves it! Having two under two is super hard but having this had made things so much easier for me to get done. Totally worth the buy.
I love this wrap! I’d bought a couple of cheaper wraps for my baby but they weren’t fitting quite right – I couldn’t get them to properly support my baby while feeling comfortable. So glad I tried this wrap before giving up! It is so soft and a much better quality stretchy fabric. The fit is so much better and more comfortable to wear for me and my baby. He was fussing in the cheaper slings I’d bought and my shoulders were achy – not with this one! I got the rainbow pattern and love how it looks as well 🙂 I’d 100% recommend, without hesitation. My baby is 10 weeks old and I was starting to worry that he might just not like being held in a sling, but we just needed to find the right one and this is it!
She had tried a wrap a couple of years ago but a lower quality and one with toggles, so never managed to take to it.
The way this one is made is really good quality, sits really comfortably on the shoulders and feels completely secure for the baby.
I bought the grey. It’s a lovely neutral colour but I’d say more a khaki than true grey. Still, it looks fab.
It’s a good sling, comfy with my 8 week old. I’d recommend watching a YouTube video on how to use as there are better and clearer ways than the instructions. It is rather snuggly and warm so good for winter. Might be too hot for warmer months. I usually use it for skin on skin as lots of layers you and baby get hot quickly. Would recommend.
Love this wrap! Wish I’d had one for my first baby! It’s awesome. I used it for my newborn, who is now in the next suggested wrap style up – the guide is so good. It’s so comfy. Baby is fast asleep and happy within minutes. I’ve managed to get my 19 month old in it as well, so it’ll stand the test of time! Thank you!!
It was my first sling wrap carrier but loved carrying my baby in this. The weight of the fabric was just right. The green colour is really nice. It did take a bit of practice to learn the wrap technique but got it down. I’m a little sad that baby is a bit big for it now 🙁
She felt really snug and secure in there and would sleep for hours.
PROS:
The material insured that my baby was warm even when we were outside in winter.
It was so stretchy it was really comfortable for my daughter.
It was very comfortable for me to wear.
CONS:
Easy but a total pain to put on! Virtually impossible if I was out of the house as it would be draping all over the floor in the process of putting on.
Every time I used it I had to undress my daughter of her layers as it was so warm.
It was quite bulky and barely fit in my changing bag.
It was quite bulky to wear so I couldn’t just keep on under a jacket even if my daughter wasn’t in there.
If I was just using this at home for a child that hates to be put down – or if I did not drive and I used public transport or walked to the shops it would’ve been perfect but I needed a carrier more for travelling (putting daughter in and out, taking it on and off ) and so this just didn’t fit the bill.
Material feels thick, stretchy and good quality.
When baby’s really fussy, being in this and walking round the house is the only thing that soothes her.
Only downside is that is a bit warm, so have to think about the layers I’m wearing before putting it on.
I find it really easy to get baby in now, but haven’t really mastered taking her out without removing the wrap!
It’s probably no exaggeration to say that this saved my sanity during my first maternity leave. My little girl would NOT sleep and would work herself up into a lather if you so much as left the room for a millisecond. With the sling she would be all cosied up against us and would be very happy. Because I bought this grey one, my husband was also more than happy to take his turn carrying the babies.
I’m now on baby 3, and the sling was also used by a friend for one of her babies and it has held up really well, showing you the quality. I am so happy I made this purchase
This came today and I’m so happy, I can’t wait to start using it I’m due in a couple weeks. For some reason I didn’t think the material would be so long and found it a bit hard navigating how to put it on but after watching a video I got the hang of it , Boba wrap comes in a lovely box with a booklet of instructions and also another booklet on how not to use the wrap and has warranty.
I’m not a pro when it comes to babies or carriers and I managed on the first try not to drop my daughter.
The instructions are so good, it’s impossible not to do it right.
My baby girl loved it and so did I but since it rained we only tried it inside so I don’t know how comfortable it is after a long period of time.
I kept it on for 15 minutes and I couldn’t believe how easy and comfortable it can be to carry a baby.
If you like having your baby close and you’re not that much into strollers, this is definitely for you!
My son loved this. Once you get the hang of setting up the wrap (takes a couple of minutes when you’re used to it) this is just such a lovely product. So cozy and safe. My son would fall asleep within a couple of minutes being in it and we were able to comfortably go for many hands free walks. As it kept him close to my body I could also head out on colder days and know that he was nice and snug. Would definitely buy again!
I bought this on the recommendation of a friend, and in the autumn/winter it was great for getting around with my newborn. She fussed a little going in but was soon fast asleep in it most of the time. It takes a bit of practice to tie but once you get the hang of it is good for home and outdoors, freeing up your hands for other things. Only reason I took away a star was because it gets really warm in the wrap both for mum and baby, so it’s really uncomfortable to use in the summer or when it gets above 20C. I imagine it will also get harder to use as baby gets heavier – we stopped using ours around 4 months and switched to a baby carrier because it started to get too warm.
Because you can tie it high on your waist I was able to use it for short amounts of time as soon as 2 weeks post c-section as it didn’t interfere with the scar.
My baby is so comfy in this wrap and often falls asleep…. only bummer is that when putting it on, it’s so long that it drags all over the floor and picks up all the cat hairs! But I wouldn’t mark it down for that.
Would definitely recommend for a newborn and suggest watching a video on YouTube on how to put baby in the sling the right way. Wish I’d done this and used sooner.
Con: Found it harder to use with newborn as she seemed to slip further and further down the longer I wore it. Now she is bigger and can use the new position it seems to stay in place much better.
Overall: Once you’ve mastered the tying (tie quite tightly as fabric is very stretchy) it is easy to use and comfortable for the baby.
Being a preemie baby, this sling was perfect. It takes a bit of practice to put on but when you’ve got it on you can put your baby against your body for a lovely cuddle while you get on with doing things. My LO falls asleep when I put him in this and it’s been great when he’s been a bit windy or unsettled. I would recommend buying this if you’ve tried it first at a local sling library, and getting some advice about it first.
It will fit anyone – both me or my husband can wear this comfortably.
I opted for black because it was cheaper than the other colours at the time although admittedly I wish I had chosen a brighter or lighter colour for the summer.
It’s comfortable enough to wear around the house, although I have to wriggle a bit to breastfeed my LO if I am wearing it.
The fabric stays stretchy after several wears – something that I thought would be an issue if I bought a cheaper one.
It also helps support your baby with their hips – this is apparently important with carriers and slings!
The only downside is that it’s very very long, and doesn’t come with a pouch or similar to keep it in.
A friend lent me her Boba and I loved it so much that I order this one. The material it’s a bit diferente in this one and not as good as the previous model which I think it’s a shame. I love the wrap and use it regularly but the material let me down as ir goes loose very quickly also the label to find the center it’s on the small side and difficult to spot .
I used this wrap for a newborn who was too small for a rucksack style carrier. I found it quite hard to put on myself but much easier with someone to help. The instruction videos online are really useful. I only used this for short walks as I was a bit paranoid about my babies legs being squashed up although I think they were probably fine. This never caused me any back problems and was comfortable to wear. Now my baby is 10lb and has better head control I have switched to a rucksack carrier as it is quicker to put on.
Once I gained confidence using it this sling was amazing! Easy to leave on and then just pop baby back in. Baby is nice and close and snuggly and it’s perfect for newborns. I had to change to a facing out sling as soon as she was able to do she could be nosey! Once she was out of newborn age she wasn’t a huge fan (too busy exploring-no time for cuddles!) but I will definitely use it again next time.
When I had second baby my firstborn was still using buggy and I didn’t want to buy a new double one. So I have chosen Boba wrap.
Boba wrap is made of high quality French terry material which contains 95% cotton and 5% spandex and it can support children up to 35
Supports children up to 35 pounds and also babies who were born prematurely as there is no minimum weight requirement. You always have your hands free and can do whatever you like. it helped me to play with my older daughter, cook, clean etc. I am a big lady and was worried it won’t be enough material for me but I was wrong. even my friend who is size 28 tried Boba wrap and it fitted no problem. The fabric is really stretchy and it is great for hassle-free nursing if needed.
Boba offers a great variety of colours but this is not the most important part. This wrap supports baby’s head, neck, hips and legs — especially when asleep, places no pressure points on developing hips, spine or pelvis. Enables kangaroo care — premature infants thrive in a Boba Wrap. Boba wrap fits all adults and there is no digging straps or poking buckles or buttons. Very easy to take care of it, jus wash and tumble dry and you are ready to go. It also offers a natural sleep solution — the most natural way to put baby to sleep with parent’s warmth, voice, scent, movement and heartbeat. Provides longer periods of restful sleep – my baby was sleeping 4 hours without any breaks. Fabric is very soft and delicate to baby’s skin. One of the most important things in my opinion is that baby’s father can help too and carry baby when needed. My husband was very proud of doing that. Our baby was calmer and I feel great too. This wrap was purchase of the year. If I ever have a baby again I would buy Boba wrap without doubts.
This was my first wrap I bought and used with my baby. You can use it from newborn up. My baby is 10 weeks and she loves being in it.
The material length is good so you can achieve different carries and it is soft and of a decent weight. I haven’t worn it in warmer weather yet as my baby was born in Feb but I have a suspicion it may make the wearer rather sticky.
Ideal for babies who like being held so you can get on with things and a good way to get some extra skin on skin if you like. It is also great when shopping as you can have your hands free. It comes with a bag and compacts to the size of a melon (but squishy) and so when I take my pram out, I always take my sling so I have the option to carry my baby. Can be used for breastfeeding but I haven’t mastered the art yet. Dads and mums can wear this wrap without having to worry about adjusting straps etc.
I like these so much that I have two in different colours. Highly recommend.
Boba also have helpful tutorial videos on YouTube to help you out with wrapping.
I bought this at the request of my daughter-in-law as part of her Christmas gifts for 2015. Her baby wasn’t due until March 2016. She tried the wrap prior to giving birth by using a teddy bear, just to get an idea of how to tie it. Baby was born on 16 March. Wrap used once, today, and it has torn!! Thankfully my little granddaughter had just been removed from it! I should mention that baby is only 6.6lbs!!
It appears that I am now out of time to return it, but as the item is clearly faulty, surely there must be a way of obtaining a replacement? FURTHER TO THIS EARLIER E-MAIL – Must add that my daughter-in-law found an e-mail address for Boba UK. I contacted them and received an immediate response. They were EXCELLENT. A replacement Boba Wrap was sent and my son & his wife gave used it a number of times, very successfully. Baby seems to love it too. She was clearly extremely comfortable as she slept for quite a long time in it. It would seem that we were just very unlucky with the first Wrap. From my conversation with the Company, I feel confident they carry out rigorous checks on this product before it leaves the factory.
If you ensure the fabric is spread out over the shoulders, baby’s weight is well distributed, and I can wear this comfortably for several hours. It is essentially a long piece of stretchy fabric which you tie up, once you have done it a few times, it is easy enough, (lots of YouTube tutorials!) although I find I need to look in a mirror ( or winnow of the car if out and about!) to check I have tied it correctly. I do find that baby starts to sag a bit after 45 mins or so of wear, so I usually tighten and re-tie, and you do need to tie it tighter than you would think in the first place. There is plenty of material here to fit even the biggest baby wearer – I am nearly 6′ and a size 16-18 and there is lots to spare. I would say though that if you are quite petite this will mean you have it wrapped around a few times to tie it off, and you may end up looking like a mummy in more ways than one!
I have also managed to use this to breastfeed on the go, although I wouldn’t say it was that easy for me at least
I have bought another sling since this one, the Close Caboo, which is also lovely and maybe a bit quicker to get on.
I love this wrap. Once I had practiced tying it a few times and carrying teddy bears, I put my 6 week old daughter in it and she was really happy in it (although it’s quite warm in the summer so you need to think about how many layers your baby is wearing. Daughter is now 3 months and still very happy in the wrap. It’s so much easier when I’m on my own with her as it gives me the freedom to use both hands when I need to.
I was unsure how to rate this wrap as unfortunately it is quite hit and miss as to whether my son wants to go in it or not.
The instructions are easy to follow and it only takes a couple of attempts to get the wrapping technique correct. The wrap is comfortable and is made from a thick stretchy material. It’s a little pricey but not over the top, and very much in line with other similar products. On the whole a good buy (if you manage to get use out of it)
Love my wrap. I bought this from my newborn daughter as I have an older child and needed my hands free for going out to toddler groups or helping her on her bike. This wrap is very long and a bit daunting but I got the hang of it quickly and she is super snug in there. I get lots of positive comments when out and about. I can comfortably carry her for about 1.5 hours and then it can get a little heavy and tiring (she is 4 months now). I also find that sometimes I have wrapped it too tightly or loosely, it just takes practice to get it right. However, I can guarantee within about 30 mins my daughter will be asleep it in, she is so cosy. Now she is getting bigger I am looking at a Connecta sling as although they say you can use these wraps for older babies I don’t see how. It can be a pain getting her in and out. I tend to just put her in once as it’s too fiddly otherwise. I also cannot figure out how you can breastfeed in this wrap.
After trying out another wrap from a competitor, which was more complicated to use (and my baby hated it), I wasn’t sure about using a wrap at all. However, I really loved the idea of carrying my baby close to me this way, so I decided to give the Boba Wrap a go, based on the reviews and what I saw on their website. My 5 week old baby was happy in it from the very first time we tried it, he even fell asleep within minutes, and pretty much does so every time we use it. It’s very comfortable to wear and the material is soft and stretchy. Very happy with this purchase.
With baby number two (now five months) I have bought both the boba wrap and carrier 4G. Both are AMAZING.
The boba wrap is my favourite wrap by far, its super comfortable for mummy and baby because of the super stretchy soft fabric and its the most comfortable sling I have ever worn. Its so comfy and light weight my baby takes her morning nap in it while I get on with jobs around the house. You can just bring the fabric behind baby’s head to support it softly while they sleep and you can get on with life. I love the colour, it goes with everything and I’ve had so many compliments on the wrap. I really can’t say enough good things about it.
The carrier is just as brilliant and I use it when I’m out and about and I know I need to get baby in and out of the carrier quickly with no fussing, for example when I’m shopping and jumping in and out of the car (the carrier takes seconds to fit and put baby in while the wrap take a couple of minutes to tie). The combination of wrap and carrier is so good I rarely use the buggy.
This wrap is literally the best 38 I’ve ever spent. It’s very easy to get to grips with, you just need to spend a bit of time getting the ‘fit’ right (i.e. not too loose or tight). It’s extremely comfortable and can be worn all day, you just pop baby in and out as needed. My baby loves the wrap and it’s the only place he’ll sleep in the day. I love it because I can carry him comfortably and still have my hands free to get on with stuff. It’s brilliant for attachment and bonding and helps you to get to know your baby really well as he’s so close.
It can be easily put in the washing machine as needed and this hasn’t had a detrimental impact on the elasticity.
I was a bit worried that I would struggle to carry baby for long periods (he’s a big baby) but so far no problems at all, it’s really very comfortable.
I literally don’t have anything bad to say about the Boba Wrap and I definitely wouldn’t be without it.
Edit after use with 2 kids I realise how much I’m in love with this sling.
The bad points: it is hard to wrap at first but I promise it gets very easy with practise, watch the YouTube video and u get the hang of it. Cos if the style it’s hard to whip on when already out as it drags it n the floor making the whole thing dirty. It’s hard to swap carrier person for the baby if you get tired cos u have to take the baby out unwrap rewrap and replace the baby whilst out on a possibly dirty floor.
Good points: very easy to chuck in the bottom of the pram or nappy bag for in case you need it if the baby becomes fussy whilst out, it’s lightweight and portable unlike the stiff carriers. It’s comfy to wear the baby in it and doesn’t make your back hurt if tied correctly. It’s soft and flexible and you can’t beat how snugly you get to baby.
I chose the Boba Wrap having seen it in action with a friend and her baby. There is so much choice when it comes to babywearing options, and I went with my friend’s personal recommendation. My baby has yet to arrive so I can’t comment on the wrap in action as yet, but it is beautifully soft and easy to put on (though there is a lot of material, so I wouldn’t want to take it on and off outside and have bits dragging on the floor!) and I look forward to using it lots.
Around 9 or 10 months we heard about baby wraps, and wished we’d known about them sooner. They are a little complicated to put on, but actually easier than the morph. They are much more comfortable.
The boba wrap is a stretchy fabric which I believe makes it more comfortable for lighter babies, however the heavier the child gets the more it starts to slip as you wear it. She still goes in it at 15 months (and over 11kg) every so often and it still works though.
It’s only really officially suitable for carrying with the baby in front of you, facing toward you. With some experimentation you can try other positions (e.g. on the back, facing forward) but none are as comfortable and will depend on the age of the baby etc.
We did get a lot of curious attention on holiday in Italy with this and we became a bit of a tourist attraction at times, people taking pictures with us etc.! Seems to be a novelty in Italy where the majority of babies are in prams / pushchairs most of the time (in my limited experience)
