Arrived promptly, had a bit of a struggle to fit it to the shaver, but got there eventually. Didn’t seem to work very well to begin with, but it’s improving with use so perhaps just needs ‘running in’.

I buy one of these about every 18 months, as recommended by the manufacturer. I fits and works first time, no problems experienced. Delivery was next day – which wasn’t important to me, but good service.

I’d had my razor for quite a few years but somehow have never managed to get around to ordering a replacement head until now. I should have done it a lot sooner (18 months is recommended). I’d realised the razor’s performance had gone down over time but hadn’t realised by quite how much. Its now like having a new one again. The replacement head isn’t exactly cheap but well worth the money considering. I definitely won’t leave it so long to get a replacement next time.

Not so easy to work out which part corresponded with my razor but once I’d worked it out it was easy. Came next day. Saved a great deal of money as in the past I would just get another razor, getting replacement blades it’s now just like it was when I first bought it. Result.

I bought this for my Dad to replace the head on his Braun Series 3 ProSkin wet & dry 3010s electric razor.
Having looked at other, much cheaper ‘clone’ replacements and reading the reviews (many of which were negative mainly due to lack of longevity) I decided to spend the extra and get a genuine Braun one.
My Dad is not disappointed and it has resurrected the close shave he was getting with the razor when it was new. Hopefully this one will last the 18 months suggested on the packaging and will prove to be worth the money considering how expensive the genuine replacement is.

The razor spare part arrived promptly and was well packaged. The part is genuinely Braun, so fits perfectly and restores the cutting efficiency of the electric razor to its original standard. Cost effective and extremely good value. Completely recommended.

Being an original replacement it works perfectly unlike some cheaper copies. I’d rather pay a bit more and get a quality shave than mess around with copies that never come close

The foil of the original head supplied with the series 3 shaver, after several months of light shaving became damaged. Initially the shave was acceptable but fairly quickley fell off. When I noticed the damage, I started to look for a replacement and noticed a head for the series 3 pro skin model, the heads looked very similar so I decided to go for it. The head fitted my series 3 perfectly and gives a much better shave, it now remains to be seen if the performance drops off and how soon.

I forget just how nice it is when I occasionally treat myself to buying a replacement shaver foil! It’s like stroking a kitten over your face. Even after a few weeks, it’s still massively better than my worn-out foil. You can tell it’s the genuine article too – well made and properly sharp blades. As long as they keep making these, I can’t see me ever needing to replace my shaver as it’s as a good as new each time.

The Braun website will show you how to find the right model number and then the right part to buy. I’ve always doubted it is worth buying a new shaver head unless damaged. Not sure how old mine was, maybe 3 years. But this has transformed my razor, much finer and softer shave. suprised and happy

Great genuine Braun Part – gives a beautiful shave and like a new shaver – I made the mistake before buying this genuine Braun part of buying a part which looked like it was a genuine part from Braun (in what looked like Braun packaging and similar price) – it lasted about 1month and fell apart after giving me a month of unsatisfactory shaves – i will in future always make sure I buy from the Braun Amazon Store

A first-rate replacement. And what a difference it makes. I was shaving with my old head for almost six months past it’s replacement date, and wondering why the shave wasn’t as good and took much longer. I thought it was the razor itself and was ready to buy a new one. Then I realised it was way past its end of use date. As it’s a Braun shaver it made sense to pay a little extra for a real Braun replacement. I’m very glad I did too.

My Braun Series 3 Pro Skin foils/cutters needed replacing after over 2 years of daily use. I was amazed by how cheap this replacement was. The shaver is excellent, far better than more expensive ones I’ve had, and I didn’t want to replace it. It gives a smooth, close shave in 3 to 4 minutes. If using for the first time, please allow 4 weeks for your skin and facial hairs to get used to it. It does improve, even though the first shave was perfectly acceptable. Use minimum pressure, let the weight and balance of the shaver do the work. It fits so nicely in the hand, and grips well. Stretch your skin with your non shaving hand and apply very gentle strokes against the direction of the growth. Easy to clean by rinsing under the tap and shaking dry. It has a very good slide up trimmer too, the best on any shaver I have used. Highly recommend the shaver, and replacement parts are so cheap, and easy to fit in seconds, because it comes as one unit. When replacing the parts, don’t forget to hold the power button down for over 5 seconds to reset the replacement parts symbol. The symbol which came up to remind you that the parts need replacement should disappear.

Being tight fisted and penny pinching is hard baked into my genes. I cant even walk past a skip without giving it a quick once over for any potential free goodies. But there are some things that you just cant cheap out on, and these Braun shaving cassettes is one.

After over seven years of loyal service I managed to break my Brauns foil by rough handling. In order to save the money I bought a visually identical, much cheaper, off-brand replacement. I quickly realised that any similarity is entirely superficial. It was horrible.

I did not appreciate how good the Braun foils are until I used a cheapo. The heads sometimes stuck, the holes in the side parts were too small so they barely cut, the internal blades didnt cut properly, and I was legit worried I would damage my razor. I have a crew cut, so I decided to test it on my head as that is thinner hair and vastly easier to shave than a face. By the time I was done I looked like something out of a horror movie. It was painful to do, and patchy, like I had tried to do it will a clothes de-fluffer device. I returned it, and decided to spend the money on a proper Braun replacement.

Straight out of the box its perfection again. Divided over the life span, this electric razor has cost me 3 a year to run, even buying the premium unit. Considering this is an item that you rub against your face, and only Buffalo Bill has a spare set of skin, I think that token payment is worth it.

If, like me, you bought a reasonably decent shaver as cheap as you could then the replacement cartridge for it is going to be almost as expensive as a replacement shaver. But I guess it is like printer cartridges. Sell the printer cheap and then get the money back on the cost of the consumable parts. Except that there is no choice of supplier for these, you are stuck with the oem cartridge. So only 3 stars for value. Comfort 5 stars, because they make your shaver shave like a new one, and between Remington and Braun, I would say Braun wins for the most comfortable shave. I gave longevity 4 stars, but I’m not sure they deserve that much. The built-in timer promts me to change the cartridge every 18 months, which may be less frequent than other manufacturers recommend for their products, so maybe it is worth it, if it lasts as long as the original one. That will remain unknown until such time as it either wears out and becomes uncomfortable to use or 18 months is up. But by then hopefully I will have forgotten when I got it and probably would not think to write a review about it.
