Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThe shaver seems very good in itself, however, you have to charge it for 10hrs just to get 45 mins of use…this is beyond crappy. My last sharer was a generic Chinese made one (very similar to this) with usb cable and fully charged in 1hr for 60 mins use. Also, why does every shaver company think that a crappy fabric pouch is a worthwhile accessory? When my dad bought shavers in the 90s they came with proper leather padded cases! Either include one that does something of value or just don’t include one.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhile testing this product I was very impressed with the performance when shaving my body hair. It gave a smooth cut that was uniform and then it was quick and easy to clean. While it also worked well for trimming my beard, I wouldn’t recommend it for a close shave as I had to repeat the shave multiple times to remove all the hair.
It felt good in my hand and had a good length of time of use from a battery charge.

Whilst testing this product I’ve got to say I was really impressed. It’s light, comfortable, and really easy to use – definitely user friendly! It also comes with multiple combs which is helpful and the battery seems to last forever. It’s a good product, especially compared to others in this price bracket so I’d certainly recommend.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use, would recommend!

This item was delivered quickly and on opening the first thing I noticed was that it has a two point pinned charger. This wasn’t ideal as we don’t have a socket for this in any bathroom in our new build house! Luckily we had an adapter. Also it did come with a decent amount of charge so I could start using it straight away. Aside from this, while testing it I found it was light weight and easy to use. It has a good variety of attachments and offers a nice close shave. I have quite sensitive skin and this is the best electric shaver I have used. It was easy to clean and the battery life is very good. Would recommend to others, just would make life easier if it had a 3 pin charger.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI usually use a Phillips Shaver for shaving my face whilst also using a Remington trimmer for my beard. I was really impressed when using the Braun XT3. It was a great shaver that trimmed my beard really well. For someone that regularly has to trim their beard, this was really handy.

Initially when testing this product I found that it was really lightweight which is good for me as I’m always travelling around and having to take bulky shavers from A-B. The charger was also very small too so this made it handy to move around.

The shaver was really easy to use and I also found the combs and trimmers handy to use too, this enabled a really accurate trim of my beard as I don’t like to have too much hair on mine.

It was really easy to use and was simply a click in click out scenario for the combs and I also found the battery life to be really good. With every battery I’d always recommend giving it a full charge when you first get the product to ensure optimum battery life. This has lasted me a while, although I don’t have to use the shaver everyday. What is impressive is that if I don’t use it everyday, the battery life still holds, which is great to have as a feature and means I’m not left in the dark and my shaver doesn’t just die every 5 minutes or just when I’m about to use it!

I would certainly recommend buying this and it really does beat the competitors by a mile. It’s also good to see the blade can do a full shave too, taking the beard back to the skin leaving it smooth and also not causing cuts. This is a big win from me as the small cuts from shaving every now and then can cause a few problems! I would certainly stay loyal to the Braun brand now.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWhen this product was delivered, it felt fairly light. Upon opening my package, I instantly liked the box design as the colours and writing stand out. When testing my product, it is a very good shaver and leaves a smooth finish. The product itself is fairly light and easy to manoeuvre around areas of the body. The only thing I would say is it did feel like it plucked some of my hairs at times, as if they was getting caught but other than that, it’s a very good product. I’ve been using regularly and not coming out in any kind of rash which is great as this sometimes makes me feel insecure so I’m extremely happy with that.

I’ve always been used to wet shaving, after trying my dad’s electric razor to no success I didn’t think I’d get the close shave I wanted with an electric razor, but I saw the page for this and it was on offer, looked like it’d give the close shave I was after so I bought it to try it out. I’m very impressed with this, it hasn’t caught my skin or felt like it was ripping hairs at any point, and provides a really close shave along with that. It comes with multiple attachments for different purposes and I’ve also used the sensitive body attachment to great success, being a sensitive area I was very hesitant to do so, but no nicks or cuts, just an incredibly close shave in record time! No issues with the battery life either, charged it once I received it and haven’t had to charge since (many uses over two – three weeks)
Overall, I can’t really think of anything bad to say! Comes with a handy travel bag that can easily fit the razor and a couple attachments

I have been testing this product for the last 7 days. I was impressed when first opening the box by the quality of the packaging and shaver. But thought the guards looked flimsy.

    Pros

Light weight and slim design which makes it ideal for traveling
Rechargeable (kept a full charge for the first 7 days of use before writing this review)
The shaver does not shave as close as a traditional razor, but still gives a close shave.
I found by using shaving foam, it gives a smoother and closer shave
I have used the other hair trimming attachments which all do what they are supposed to do very well
This trimmer is very useful for trimming around those awkward areas like the ears

    Cons

No indication of how long you have before you need to recharge the shaver
The plastic guard on the shaver does it’s job but feels flimsy and I’m not sure how long it will last.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersOverall this is a very good all-in-one razor that can compete with the best of the best out there atm. The travel pouch as well as the extra body hair and trimming combs are added bonuses too along with the fact it’s fully waterproof. I tested the razor over two areas; shaving the sides of my head and a clean shave of my stubble.
The razor tackled the challenge of my side hair with ease even though my hair is quite dense and thick. It made short work of something that generally takes a while thanks to its 4D blade with the 2 central shaving zones.
Clean shaving my stumble on the other hand was a bit more difficult. Despite the fact of the pivoting flex head I found it very difficult to manoeuvre around my facial contours and under my chin. I even cut myself once of twice because it was hard to keep the blade flat all the time while doing this. Despite this though it did give a good shave in general even if it was not as close as I’m used to. My facial hair didn’t seem to grow back as quick either which was good. In conclusion I personally think this good stylish all-in-one that would fit into anyone’s grooming ritual easily providing an array of options for the user.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this product a week ago and have been testing it most days since it arrived. It actually came pre-charged which was a nice surprise. On first looks, it’s a neatly designed and stylish product — with sleek packaging that matches.

The shaver itself has a soft and smooth touch but also it has a good grip surface on the top half which makes it easy to hold — it’s better than another older Philips shaver I used which was too smooth all over. This Braun shaver is easy to hold even if it gets a bit wet.

I haven’t had to charge it yet after a number of uses, so the battery life certainly seems good.

A slight downside of this product is that if you don’t have a shaver socket in your bathroom then you will need to also get an adaptor to be able to charge it because it does not come with a UK plug. But these can be found on Amazon for very cheap.

I’ve tried out most of the hair length shields — it’s got some for face and some for body. These work well but it’s not that easy to see which one is for which length. It would be better if they had some kind of labelling on them.

Cleaning the shaver is also pretty easy — it’s waterproof so I have just been washing it under the bathroom tap and it cleans up well.

The main downside is that even after using it over an area of my face or neck for a few passes, it doesn’t always trim all the hairs — it seems to miss some on closer inspection. Overall, it’s a bit fiddly to change the combs and skin shields than some other shavers but it’s neat and compact which saves space — great for travelling with. It has a good battery life, is fairly quiet to use and easy to clean.

I’ll be taking it with me on trips and holidays for sure and would recommend it at least for a compact travel shaver.

I have had a few different trimmers over the years and the Braun is one of the best. it’s a great little size that packs a strong easy cut.
depending on what level of beard your after there was different sized attachments that will suit all needs. I went straight for the closest trim which was pretty much like a clean shave.
it struggled a little under the chin getting as close to a clean shave as it could but never the less was great. Great battery life great packaging with a lovely little carry bag included.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Usershe first thing that struck me with the Braun XT5200 shaver was its smooth, ergonomic design, when I first held the device in my hand I felt like I was king Arthur, having just pulled the sword from the stone, it was just ‘right’ just as it was meant to be. the handle was sleek, gently curved with a pleasant silicone grip aiding my grasp, in addition to a textured thumb grip, useful as I had experienced issues with thumb slippage when using other shavers. impressed already, I knew that this was just the beginning, and the legend of the Braun XT5200 shaver had only just begun. softly depressing the single on-switch in the centre of the handle, the device purred into life, a gentle hum that didn’t skip a beat. it became obvious while using the device that it can give a nice clean shave, while I do usually like to keep a bit of stubble to maintain a rugged masculine appearance, out of curiosity I ran the shaver over my hairy arm, to find a fabulously smooth strip of hairless skin, like that of a new born child’s eft behind. there are a number of different head attachments one can use if you do not want to trim so tight however, having used the shaver for some days now (on my chin! not my hairy arm!!) I can confirm they work well and will fulfill all your stubble needs.
in conclusion the device is very light, much like a normal razor, just a bit chunkier, kind of like an electric toothbrush, but with more settings since it has the head attachments depending how much stubble you want to maintain. it’s superior to my old electric trimmer and I would recommend to anyone. Who needs brains when you can have Braun!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’m reviewing the Braun XT5 this product came very promptly, in very nice packagin. It mentions the one tool to shave trim and Style first impressions were very good, nice sized product very easy to hold in a hand and clean designs. Very user-friendly. There is no need to charge as it came charged. The main reason I choose this products was I was sick of disposable razors so looking for something with a longer lasting blade. This this product tick all the boxes, 6 months before I swap out of the blades. I have used the product now for a week and have had no issues needing to charge the battery so it seemed very good. One aspect that I think is lacking is how clean the shave is is,I tried this dry and with shaving foam in a shower and a shave is not that close so so would probably work better as a beard trimmer than a close shave. that said the shave is close just not as close enough as a wet shave

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have a Philisave razor. Philisave razor is a dry only saver and it has very limited body grooming capability. I was looking for a replacement shaver that will be work wet and dry. It has to do what the Philisaver is doing everyday but it had to be a good all in one shaver that can be used in the shower. It need to be cleaned with hot water, have a decent battery life and also. So I considered price, performance and aftersales support. The price was good – I got it for a very decent price which I was willing to pay. The first charge was short and I had not a need to charge it again. I’ve used this 4 times so far for my face, done on the closest shave possible it was very comfortable on my jaw line, around my lips and nose area, absolutely no scratches on cuts. I also like the fact that it can shave body hair at 6 different lengths. With a big brand like BRAUN, it will have good after sales support and spares. Very pleased with this Braun shave

Overall from using for a few days i am pretty impressed ,the 360 rubberised grip is a nice touch as it feels premium.

Unboxing as shown you have heads ranging from 1 – 5mm which tackled my beard well and thanks to the 4d blade I could shape and define where needed combined with the ability to flex for contours .

Battery runs in just over 50 minutes just finished a week of shaves and still going strong , I don’t feel any inconvenience.

I store in the travel bag provided and the shaver cleans easily as fully waterproof.

My only gripe stopping the 5 stars is even though it has a centre shaver , i have used sharper shavers that really get to the close finish desired, but the for the price you are getting a solid razor.

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost perfec

I bought the razor around a week ago and have used it a couple of times. It’s fairly weighty but fits quite well in the hand. The instructions suggested to charge for 10 hours before use, but I found that it already had some charge out of the box which has lasted me well so far.

The selection of combs is good as it means you don’t have to have a completely uniform look on your face. My experience was that it was a fairly quick process to trim the whole face. However, on close inspection there were quite a few hairs that didn’t seem to have trimmed, even after several passes – I found this a particular issue around the moustache area. There was, however, no irritation after trimming with one of the combs.

The only other drawback is the cost of a replacement head, which is about half as much as a new razor, with a recommendation that this is changed every six months – so ongoing use could get quite expensive.

I was looking to try out of one of these Electric Shaver for years instead of using a plastic razor you get from the shop. I tried it out for a few days. My first impression of the Braun XT5200 was wow as I can use it everywhere and it not as bulky as it made it easy to put it in my travel bag. I love how easy to see my face and make my whole hand grab hold to the shaver and shave with greater details of knowing what I am shaving in the mirror. The disappointing part is when I started using it on day one is that it takes time for the blaze to shave and trim my bead hair as I tried to use the different combs as it did not cut my hairs instead, I should use the shaver straight without the comb as it was much easier. There were no cut or bleeding while using the shaver as that what I love about it. After the first day of using it, it got easier to shave and trim. It’s very easy to clean the shaver with the small brush. It’s very user friendly on the second day and the battery life is very good. I would recommend this shaver/trimmer if you are looking to use it for travel and for everyday shaving for beard and chest hair.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersI used to shave with my Philips OneBlade and it was good. Nothing particularly exciting but it did the job and I was happy. Then I bought this Braun xt5 and immediately felt that it was WAY QUIETER than the OneBlade. After several days of testing, I used the Philips again and yes, it was very noisy. I usually take around 20 minutes to shave so the noise factor is more important than what i would have thought.
Other than this, it comes with more accessories than the OneBlade, it has a cute travel pouch that can fit the trimmer and the charger (if you squeeze it in) and the blade is very sharp and precise. I find that with longer facial hair (15/20 mm), using the 5mm comb this performs better than the Philips with the same attachment, as it cuts the long hair more easily.
It came pre charged so i could use it straight out of the box (charging time is 10 hours!) and that’s also a great thing. Plus, battery life is very good, it doesn’t seem to lose power after a while, like other razors i have used.
The thing i don’t like is that you have to buy a new every 6 months, and even though it’s the same thing for the OneBlade, blades are easier to find for the Philips than the Braun.
If i had to recommend a trimmer, this would be my first choice.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI bought this item and I am testing for several days. So here is my review of the braun XT5 5200.

Firstly for my overall impression I will say its a hair trimmer, it won’t replace a face shave.

If you use it to shave in the traditional sense you will still have notable whiskers.

However if you are wanting it as a general hair trimmer then it’s a good little unit.
I had my hair cut about 3 weeks ago and have started getting the odd stray hair where it grows longer than the others, so I gave it a test out clipping no.2 shaving guard on. Then went about tackling my hair on the sides, and it has worked a treat. Got the sideburns back down nicely, and freshened my hair up.

I also gave it a quick whirr on the old odd ear hair and nose hair, although the head is way to big for the nose at an angle it can zap the little blighters

So yep it’s great for zapping the old man hairs.
It is also fully waterproof so another bonus.

I have seen some comments about the euro plug but it’s no biggie, just use a shaving adapter type plug for 99p all over the place.
