Great item, saves on paying out fees to car hire firms when going fly drive , paid for itself after just one trip. Grandson said it was very comfortable and loved the seat belt adjustment that adds on. Arrived quickly

After spending an age looking for a portable travel seat for our La trip, found this. All the reviews were favourable so decided to take a gamble due to it’s portability and ease of use. This was best decision ever. As we were travelling around, this car seat deflates small enough to put in its carry bag and can be manually inflated in seconds. Surprisingly sturdy and comfortable, my 4 year old had no issues using it throughout ur 2 week vacation. Very versatile for family members who help with childcare, as when deflated it takes up very little room. Just buy!

Original Review:
Deflates almost immediately, leaving my son sitting with no support after even short journeys. I finally tested it in the bathroom sink today to see if there was a puncture and it absolutely haemorrhages air along the glue lines when I put pressure on it (see attached video).

There are no noticeable punctures, it just leaks air from the materials itself. There is obviously something very wrong with the type of glue they are using in the factory that kills the air tightness of the material.

I highly suggest if you have a Bubble Bum that you test it.

It’s a Good booster seat fits nicely into a narrow belted gap between the 2 normal seats in the rear of a car.
Wouldnt want to use it on a long journey.
Easy to store and to inflate when needed

We were frustrated by the cost of renting child booster seats in rental cars whilst on a holiday to the United States, and the lack of boosters in taxis. However, problem now solved! These are amazing, they roll-up reasonally compact in the side of a backpack. We used them recently on a trip to Disney World and saved over 100 in car seat rentals and travelled more safely in Ubers to/from the airport. They take a bit of puff to blow up and a technique to keep them full and close the valve, but with a practice it’s not an issue. Overall a fantastic invention.

I bought these to take on a plane and use at the other end. They were fantastic. It was a bit of a pain taking them out of the car each time/ putting them in the boot as I was concerned about the sun damaging the inflatable cushion inside. But they worked well and saved a lot of space in the car. The best thing is that they can be stored easily and neatly in the bag provided ready for the next time we need them.

This is a great emergency booster seat. It folds down pretty small, about the size of a bag of flour. Only really knocked the one star off because it’s a bit fiddly to install (partially due to poor instructions).

This also just about fits in the middle seat on an insignia when there are 2 full-back boosters already in the car, it’s just REALLY fiddly to install in that scenario, but at least you are legal and the little ones are safer.

We were faced with huge hire prices on our last trip abroad for kids car seats. So I started looking and found these wee seats. So easy to inflate/deflate. Compact enough that they don’t really make a difference to the packing. These things saved me over two hundred quid on the last trip and will continue to save us money when we travel. Great investment my girls never complained of being uncomfortable and they both managed to use them with ease. SO WORTH IT.

Bought these as the kids are suitable for a base unit only. Got rid of the chunky plastic seats for these. Nice and comfortable, compact and much easier to get the seat belts fastened.

Initially it was ok. A bit small and didn’t boost child as high as wanted, but it did the job. Occasionally it needed re-inflating but recently inflated and a hump appeared in the middle, now it deflates within minutes. Have tried to contact BubbleBum on their site but form will not submit. Disappointed.

Update: I managed to contact BubbleBum via email. They sent me a replacement air bladder. Great customer service. Thanks.

We had an issue: five of us going on holiday, three adults and two five-year-olds, and just one normal sized car to fit us all in. The five-year-olds are usually in high backed boosters but there is no way to fit even a skinny grown-up between two of these in the back of a car. The BubbleBum was the solution, taking up no more space than a normal bum. No, it’s not as safe as a high backed booster and no, I wouldn’t use it as a replacement for this in normal circumstances. But it is actually pretty good: the most important thing is that the seat belt is correctly positioned and the seat achieves this. The belt lies correctly across the lap, held in place with clips, and the back strap holds the belt in position against the shoulder. And when it’s not needed the whole thing squishes down to a size that you can put in your hand luggage.

Only word of warning is that if your little one falls asleep in the car they may fall off the seat – my son is used to having head supports and sleeping safely in the car, but when he fell asleep using this he just slid right off it.

Once we had booked our holiday, I decided that I would do some research and purchase a couple of boosters to take with us, firstly the cost of hiring two boosters for two weeks was coming to 130, if that was not reason enough, I have used hire company car seats and boosters before and I have yet to receive a clean or comfortable one! So that being my experience I was on the hunt for a decent booster. I had been recommended the booster seat that doubles up as backpacks for the kids. However in my experience, once the flight has ended the kids don’t want to be carry bags they are usually quite tired or even asleep, so to my thinking I didn’t want to be left with having to carry two backpack boosters which look quite bulky and kids, through the airport!
When I came across the Bubblebum, I was a little sceptical as it’s an inflatable and I was concerned it may leak air and just go flat!
I am happy to say it was a Great Purchase, I inflated them once at the start of the holiday and they remained inflated until I took them out at the
end of the holiday! The kids seemed very happy with them and I appreciated that they were lightweight, and barely took up any room in my hand luggage,(I unrolled them and packed them flat!) All In all a brilliant buy for holidays!
