Super satisfying to use and doesn’t need charging often. The stand could be better designed (I find that it’s easy to accidentally knock the swatter over while it’s on the stand), but the swatter itself works well.
Brilliant product had for a few weeks now, still haven’t had to charge it, so battery life amazing. Does what it needs to. Jist a shame it doesn’t come with a little brush to clean the dead bugs off.
I have two dogs who are frightened of the loud zap that some fly swats make but this is very quite and easy to use. Charge lasts a while too 🙂
This electric fly swatter is an excellent way to keep pesky flys away from the home. It is easy to use and effective. The electric charge kills troublesome insects quickly and efficiently, and the product is lightweight and easy to store. The battery life is decent and is recharged easily with its stand. I would definitely recommend this electric fly swatter to anyone looking for an effective way to rid their home of pesky flies.
I initial purchased this product due to a hilarious review on here.
That said it is a decent bit of kit in its own right. The fun you have running around zapping flies, is worth the price alone, easy to use, charging is effortless and works really well.
Good luck prising it out of everyone’s hands when you want a go.
In London we are plaggued every summer with flies in the house. I do not want to use toxic sprays as I have a pet in the house. This is a very effective solution! Not to mention fairly enjoyable chasing them around the house, we even take turns zapping them 😀
At 16.99 i didn’t expect much but anything is worth a try with the flies during the summer. It doesnt hold a lot of charge and even when you zap a fly you then have to zap it quite a few more times as the first time doesnt quite bump then off quick enough. It does get annoying having to chase the same fly around quite a few times but i suppose if it gets rid of them then it’s worth it.
Zapping good time, perfect for camping and out in the garden.
i also leave it on over night in the lounge and hear the zaps – it does a grand job
Used to have a cheaper version that did not work well. This one’s sits in the lounge on charge and I can pick it up anytime and use. All the family now enjoy dealing with the flies and there is a satisfying crack when it is successful. Easy to use and works very effectively. Great product.
For the past two weeks we seemed to have been plagued by flies, I’ve tried all sorts of humane stuff, I really don’t like killing stuff if I don’t have to, that being said, nothing worked, so I bought this. The moment I got it out the box I was like a drunk John McEnroe wielded his tennis racket angrily at the umpire. Feeling immensely satisfied with every pop and crankle I hear accompanied by the occasional smell of burnt fly as the really unfortunate ones get stuck in the grill and burn….I can feel my partner and my teenager staring at me, like a women possessed as I mutter Die you bast*rds, die and my normal Mary Poppins personality is suddenly baying for blood and fly sacrifices.
This was the perfect cure for a problem with a stress relieving workout included. Highly recommended
This works great although quite expensive. Make sure you don’t use it any where your telly as my partner did and it has marked it. He was about 15cms away when he got the fly and afterwards we noticed a couple of smudges around the area it used it. It is kind of scorched but underneath if that makes sense. The area is now slightly raised. It won’t wipe off as it isn’t on the top layer. Kind of like a blister. This is in no way the fault of the devise, but a warning might have been useful. Also, be prepared to jump out of your skin the first time you get a fly.
lovely fly swatter, very light , feels great in the palm just like a tennis racket. charges quick and of you go swing it around if you see any flies. for the hard to see, hard to catch you have a UV light you switch on and a stand to use so it draws the towards the racket. after all that swinging and running around you get tired and need to put it away you can swivel the racket in half to save space and easy to store away for the next time you use.
This is quite large to hold, it gives you a better covered area and chance of getting the fly’s or bugs. It works well and looks great. Comes with a stand for it and holds its charge well.
Plenty of zap for smaller flies but sometimes requires a little more time for larger flies.
It doesn’t feel particularly solid but it holds up well. It’s a two button operation, slide to on then press the button for the blue light. Can’t say it’s that effective as a stand alone fly kill king unit at night.
Be careful not to overzap the fly as it can smoulder and the smell is unpleasant. Keep your fingers off the grid or it will be unpleasant for you.
As rechargeable fly zappers go it’s pretty good.
I have used a number of these devices and although I’d rather not use anything at all I do think that they are a better alternative to chemical sprays on those occasions when the fly cannot be persuaded to leave on its own. A plus-point for me is that this has a built-in rechargeable battery which is charged with the supplied charging base and cable.
There are two points which make this particular bat different to the rest I have seen. The first is that the handle can swivel around to take up less space for storage or travel, which is a novel idea that works well here. Secondly, there is a UV light built into the bat which is designed to attract mosquitos. It is possible to activate the bat and leave it placed with that lit, so that you don’t need to do anything other than wait.
I’ve found the racket to be very effective and easy to use. It feels fairly solidly made too, and has a a good quality feel to it. The only thing missing for me is a cover which would have made a useful addition to the set, and been good for storing safely. There is a handy guide supplied with useful diagrams, but it’s worth noting that the text is quite small with the actual instructions.
It works well zapping bugs/flies in my short test. Robust design with good built quality. It is easy to operate and also rechargeable. Foldable so takes less space when carrying it. Arrived well-packaged as shown in the attached photos. The price is reasonable in my opinion. Happy to own it and will recommend.
This is a surprisingly well-built electronic zapper for the money, it works on all sorts of flying pests, it’s already taken a few accidental knocks and drops from some enthusiastic fly and moth chasing but it’s held up just fine and isn’t any worse for it. It arrived with a charging stand and an USB-A to USB-C cable which can charge the zapper via the port on the handle or be plugged into the charging base. The head of the zapper rotates 180 degrees for some reason and the only benefit I can see of it rotating is for shipping and storage as it takes up a lot less space when folded down.
The battery lasts days at a time with the odd use here and there throughout the day, it really depends on how long it takes you to catch the target and how many zaps it takes. The sound of the zap might catch you off guard the first few times, it’s a loud and very aggressive sounding electronic zap noise, not unlike a comic book styled sound bite. A couple of zaps has been enough for pretty much every moth and fly I’ve swatted so far, they tend to get stuck inside and get zapped a few times until you shake them loose.
I’m not sure if my lack of any luck with the UV light on this product is to do with ambient light in the room from other devices preventing moths from being interested in it or not. Of the couple dozen moths and flies I’ve dealt with using this zapper none of them have flown into it on their own. You might get the odd hit with the UV light in a completely dark room with it sitting in the provided charging cradle but I haven’t got the patience to try that. I just give it a quick swing and zap the pest rather than patiently waiting for it to fly into the zapper on its own. The light so far just feels like a gimmick though it’s a decent indicator of whether or not the device is turned on I suppose.
At the time of writing this is 23.99 with a 50% off voucher bringing it down to 11.99 which is very good value and hard to beat for the price. The full non-sale price needs to drop a bit though, there are plenty of alternative options that work well in the 15-20 range.
Let me start by saying that the Buzbug 2-in-1 Electric Fly Swatter is an absolute game-changer when it comes to dealing with those annoying flying insects. Not only does it provide an effective bug-zapping solution, but it also comes with a hilarious disclaimer: “DON’T USE IT ON YOURSELF!” Trust me, folks, I’ve learned that the hard way, and let’s just say it’s a shocking experience you won’t want to repeat!
Now, let’s talk about the features of this electric fly swatter. First and foremost, it’s rechargeable via Type-C, which means no more scrambling around for batteries when you’re in the heat of battle with a swarm of pesky mosquitoes. Just plug it in, charge it up, and you’re ready to zap away!
The foldable design of the Buzbug 2-in-1 adds a nifty touch of convenience. It’s perfect for both indoor and outdoor use, so whether you’re defending your kitchen from fruit flies or taking on an army of mosquitoes in your backyard, this bug zapper has got you covered. Plus, when you’re done exterminating those winged nuisances, you can fold it up and tuck it away without taking up much space.
But let’s not forget the star of the show—the powerful mosquito trap lamp. This little bug magnet lures in those blood-sucking menaces like a moth to a flame (pun intended). It emits a soft glow that acts as a beacon of temptation for mosquitoes, flies, and other flying insects. Once they get too close for comfort, simply unleash the electrifying power of the swatter, and zap! Bye-bye, bugs!
Now, I must emphasize the importance of heeding the warning: DO NOT, under any circumstances, use this bug zapper on yourself. Believe me, it’s not a pleasant experience. I may or may not have tried to impress my friends with my “electric personality,” and let’s just say it was a shocking revelation that left me feeling a bit, well, fried. Lesson learned, my friends. Lesson learned.
So, if you’re tired of those bothersome bugs invading your personal space, the Buzbug 2-in-1 Electric Fly Swatter is here to save the day (and your sanity). Just remember, keep it away from your precious self and direct its mighty power towards the buzzing annoyances instead. Happy bug-zapping adventures await!
Having a high floor flat with a stream behind the building often means when the local landscapers are at work, when the weather is nice, or when my neighbour above has plants on their balcony, it will be an attraction for kinds of bugs which is annoying when you have open windows or balcony doors. I have used traditional things like bug spray, bug traps etc but I hate the small and annoyance of deploying them that I have seen this in the past and been dismissive until now. Shaped like a tennis racket, It has a multi layered metal mesh designed to catch bugs of any size. The “Zapper” is controlled by a small button on the handle, when held down it electrifies the mesh and when the bug comes into contact with it “ZAPPED” sound and its dead, it can stick to the mesh or fall to the ground. I had the opportunity to try this and it is very effective, better than I expected. This is a USB charged device with a charging base that also doubles as a stand if you just want to have this in the room rather than playing tennis with pesky bugs, being USB charged means no AA Batteries making it even more cost effective and ready to be used any time. This is a very effective method of ridding your home of flying bugs without the smell or annoyance of an aerosol spray, Very impressed with this.
I’m sure we’ve all seen the electrical fly swats that are knocked out by the gazillion in some Chinese factory under a billion brand names. Some of them I’ve used overseas with charging prongs that leave one dangerously exposed to being toasted by the local electrical company…
And this isn’t one of them. Some of it is such as the actual fly killing screen but the rest, the handle and charging base are pretty good. Well, pretty good in comparison to the usual tat. It’s not going to be an heirloom item but it will survive longer than most I expect.
Anyway, the overall design is neat and is fairly well put together. It sits in a tidy USB charging base – a real improvement over the mains charged ones because it makes this fundamentally safe to use.
To use charge it up which doesn’t seem to take too long – I put it in the cradle for a couple of hours and when I got back to it, it was charged.
Switch using the slide switch and then to activate the Screen of Death you press the button which illuminates a blue light at which point using your tennis or squash skills you toast the irritating fly. The button remains pressed and thus the screen is on regardless of you so it can be left on all the time which could give someone a bit of a nip if they are not careful. It’s convenient compared to the ‘Hold On’ type switches but you need to remember to turn it off.
For some reason the head of the bat can swivel around the handle to allow a right angled swipe. Not sure what use that is but it’s there if you want to wave this thing around like a deformed nutter.
Overall an excellent fly swat and it is most satisfying when you get a clean kill with a quick electrical ‘snap’ when you make contact.
I recently had the opportunity to try out the Buzbug 2-in-1 Electric Fly Swatter, and I must say it has become my go-to weapon in the battle against annoying flying insects. This innovative fly swatter offers versatility, convenience, and powerful mosquito-zapping capabilities that have made my indoor and outdoor spaces much more enjoyable.
The first thing that impressed me about the Buzbug Electric Fly Swatter is its 2-in-1 design. Not only does it function as a traditional fly swatter, but it also doubles as a powerful mosquito trap lamp. This dual functionality allows me to effectively deal with both flying pests and mosquitoes in a single device, saving me the hassle of using separate tools.
The fly swatter is equipped with a Type-C rechargeable battery, eliminating the need for disposable batteries. This not only saves money in the long run but also reduces environmental waste. The included charging base makes it convenient to recharge the fly swatter, ensuring that it is always ready for action.
When it comes to performance, the Buzbug Fly Swatter is a true powerhouse. It features a foldable design, making it compact and easy to store when not in use. The swatter is equipped with a powerful electric grid that delivers a satisfying zap to any unsuspecting fly or mosquito that comes in contact with it. The audible sound and visible sparks provide a satisfying confirmation of a successful hit.
The built-in mosquito trap lamp is an added bonus. It emits a soft blue light that attracts mosquitoes and other flying insects. Once they get close, the electric grid takes care of them, providing a comprehensive solution for pest control. This feature is especially useful during outdoor activities such as camping, picnics, or evening gatherings, where mosquitoes can be a nuisance.
One aspect that I appreciate about the Buzbug Electric Fly Swatter is its user-friendly design. The handle is comfortable to grip, and the foldable feature makes it easy to handle and store. The safety switch adds an extra layer of protection, ensuring that the swatter can only be activated when intended. This feature gives me peace of mind, especially when there are children or pets around.
Overall, the Buzbug 2-in-1 Electric Fly Swatter has exceeded my expectations. It offers a convenient and effective solution for dealing with flying insects and mosquitoes.
There’s nothing more annoying than flies in the summer that enter in through the window and head straight towards my food, bins or the kitchen. I like this zapper as it does an excellent job at zapping the flies quickly. It’s a bit like tennis, But getting rid of unwanted insects. The zapper charges on a base, But i would prefer if it would be hung on the wall on a bracket and charged via a long USB-C cable. Other than that, this is a must-have for those of you who really need to get the flies out of the home quickly.
