It is a small or mini bug zapper which does work, however it does not live up to the hype of the video that promotes it. It did help in removing some mosquitoes, some household flies and other flying pests. Two thing to remember is its safer than chemicals and its usable indoors. It however pretty much stay in place for at least 2 hours and the batteries last about 8 hours on a charge. If I had known what I know after using it for over week, probably would not have purchased it. But it does work so I’m not dissatisfied with it. I believe that it is very well made, very easy to understand the directions and operates / functions as it was designed.
We turned it on wondering if it would catch a fly. In the morning there were other bugs we didn’t know had been flying around. We think the fly hit it but this little guy wasn’t enough to take him out, but it sounded like some crumbled paper, so he got a zap.
One charge has at least an all night use on it.
This product works, I have three for the last two year’s and it kills bugs especially those annoying fruit flies.
Only negative I can give it is that the cover on the cable fray’s and can be fixed with electrical tape.
A friend of mine bought this and it seems to work for her. So I bought one. It took a while before I saw dead bugs in it. But it is working. I believe that it needs to be dark for the machine to attract the bugs. I also noticed that larger bugs did not seem to be going into the device. So I captured one of the larger bugs in a see-through container and put the Device in the container. The bug flew into the device and died within 30 seconds. I have a theory. The large bugs can see farther so they are distracted by other light sources. Not sure what the answer to that is. The machine does work though. I used to see at least two bugs every day. I rarely see any now.
Was worried that the zapper wouldn’t attract or kill the small fruit flies or gnats but I was happily proven wrong ! Every day they eliminate the smallest and your regular flying pests. I get about 6-7 hours of visible UV light per charge . I turn on my two Buzz B Gone UV lights as I turn off my lights and head to bed when I get up the UV light is barely visible but zappers have done there job . Compact size easy to use and charge . Only negative in full disclosure is the usb charging cable is comically short but gets the job done I guess . insert your own jokes lol .
Works very well. I have mine in the camper. Flys are mostly attracted to the LED’s in my camper but has soon has I turn them off the zapper is all they want. Was running all night and it caught a good 30 fly’s. Did not give 5 stars cause it’s really small, I was expecting a bit bigger machine but works
Es un producto muy prctico en cuanto a manejo, a carga , tamao pero lo he usado ya varios dias y no ha caido ningin insecto.
No se porqu, pero por lo pronto como lmpara funciona, aunque su funcin principal esta por demostrarse
Really easy to use, although the power on off symbols are in reverse in my opinion. There is a O and I and the unit is off when aligned with I and on when aligned with O.
Quality is great, strong build design and resilient materials. It looks and feels good quality.
Charging is via USB C connection. Manual says 4 hours charge time for 6-8 hours run time. Can’t comment on runtime as we were asleep. If using over night it will need charging each day. I connected mine to the vehicle 12v usb during one day without any problems, and had electric hook up for other days. One good thing is, it operates while charging – though we didn’t actually charge it while turned on. Can’t say if this would charge the battery while it’s turned on with USB connected.
Operation is SILENT unless there is a big insect caught between the wires. Midges make no noises as they perish. I noticed a really quiet high pitched noise and found a small spider had sadly climbed in looking for food and was being fried constantly. Noise went after cleaning him off with the included brush.
The unit is small which I see as a benefit. The size makes it ultra portable and would be great for travelling abroad. It’s not very heavy but sits stable on a table with little rubberised feet. It also has a little rubber loop for hanging – cord or clips not included.
Now the important bit – does it kill mosquitoes? YES! Really well!
It has UV LED lights which attract the bugs extremely well. We tested in Snowdonia Wales at a campsite next to a lake. Lots of bugs. I got bitten several times while walking around in the evening but not once while inside the van with this bug death machine activated. The first night I moved the device near the bugs and watched them get sucked in to the trap. They climb around the centre tube and then get zapped with 600V when they try to fly as their wings make a circuit between the electricfied wires. It even got the really small midges as seen in video. We left our flyscreen open by mistake one evening and the van filled with the buggers. We zipped up, turned this on, then watched as they all died before our eyes in a matter of minutes. Marvelous.
We have a bulk head curtain which is not bug proof and left front windows open for ventilation. Bugs could get in at night, and one or two did. We know because we found them dead on the lamp in the morning! (Cleaned the wires before going to sleep)
I’m so happy I took the time to post this review.
