But it is a cheap Carhartt Cap which is fine for what I paid for it. A similar USA made Carhartt Cap (oil green) is 4x the price of this identical cap which isn’t made in the USA.
Also this has a velcro strap on the back so you get a comfortable fit whatever size head you have.
I have an absolutely gigantic head, it’s seriously frightening how thick my skull is and it fits just fine. If like me, you’re buying this to add a bumpcap to, you’ll have to trim the end of the bumpcap most likely.
Edit: I was so happy with my green one that I bought a black one too, but it felt like it was a totally different hat. Much shallower crown and fit a lot differently on my head. Just a point to beware of when you’re buying.
Love Carhartt stuff, and my current (other make) cap is wearing out, this looked like a good replacement.
Fits well, as there is a Velcro adjuster. It’s nice as it doesn’t sit too low, or too high it’s just like a normal baseball cap, (unlike as others mention sitting too high). Looks good and feels comfortable. Good price.
I’ve looked at so many photos of people wearing them, but If I see one that looks right they are never identified, shops never seem to stock the right shape & if you order online they never seem to sit quite right.
I suspected this one may be the one having found it identified as the one Daniel Craig wears in his final outing as Bond. I then saw someone reviewing it as part of his outfit, so was able to see it being handled & modified an unusual amount so was hopeful enough to order one.
(I’m not interested in dressing like Daniel Craig – it’s just the fit.)
I have a huge head & I am at a little under 50% of the rear hook & loop’s ability to expand.
This is good quality & the price is I’d say is justified. Carhartt seem to have got things right with this, which is sadly so rare in the game of selling branded gear.
The faux leather patch removes easily so I don’t look like a Carhartt model.
I’ve seen this identified as both Carhartt Men’s Canvas Cap & “Odessa” but having studied model numbers carefully both these terms seem to mean the same item. (For now – why do manufacturers mess with things so often?)
So if you want a decent baseball cap this may be the one – looking like 007 on his yacht may also float your boat.
Just what I was looking for, didn’t want a baseball cap with high sides. This fits better than the North Face one I already had, both are “Dad hat” style.

Apartando estos detalles, es una gorra muy bonita, fresca y cmoda.
Hay que tener cuidado con las telas con las que se roce ya que agarra pelusas fcilmente (en mi caso las guarde con unas toallas blancas)
Not worn it yet but i have the black Carhartt cap which is the same. I work outdoors so i need a cap that is robust and hard wearing to winter weathers. The Carhartt brand was introduced to me starting with a cap which i really like. I have two caps now and i am also interested in Carhartt clothing. There is a nice jacket which i look at from time to time in my wish-list. I am coming back to this great outdoors and working brand which is a great find…
Good quality, well made product. I wanted to replace an old golf cap but new ones all come with a reinforced front area carrying a logo that looks too big or have a stretch fit system that is either too small or too big.
This cap has a soft frontal area so it doesn’t make you look like you have an enormous forehead under your hat. It also has easy size adjustment so you can get a comfortable fit.
I don’t often write reviews, but credit where’s it’s due… this cap is great quality and adjustable to fit even my big head! It’s very comfortable and has a lower profile than most baseball caps, making it more subtle and stylish. If regular caps are too tight for you or make you look like a lego-head, try this one instead!
If you work on site, you’ll know stuff needs washing. I just tossed it in on daily wash and it’s come out looking a lighter brown than it went in. It hasn’t fallen apart though!
You can put a bump cap shell inside it too if you like. Not supplied.
For those in my circumstance requiring low profile I would also recommend 47 Clean Up and New Era 9Twenty caps.
I’ve been struggling to find a decent cap with a soft front for a while, just don’t seem to be the current “thing”.
This is bang on. adjustable to fit my large head, no metal buckle or crappy plastic strip just nice thick material backed Velcro (I’ll stitch these in place to to keep the fitting just right) and an all round quality feel.
I’ll be getting some more colours without a doubt.

There are daft options for rating products on Amazon. How can one grade a product across 5 options, when 2 of which are so polarised they are almost (and usually) pointless.
Anyway, minor grumble aside, I rate this 4.5 stars. It’s more than like, but not love. I like my friends, some more than others; I love my wife…see the problem?
The cap arrived sooner than anticipated. It has a lovely soft feel to it and the band lining the front of the cap soaks up the sweat a treat. For my head, it feels like it sits more on top, rather than covering my head, down to my ears, but I like that fit. It feels snug enough, without being too tight. It’s easy to adjust and the peak is long enough to be a shade, but not too long it acts like an air-brake.
However, it’s not the most robust feeling cap. It’s not feeble, but nor does it feel like it’s going to last more than a few years. The stitching is ok, but again, in the hand, it just doesn’t feel like it’s particularly substantial. Finally, the picture on the website is significantly lighter than the real thing. This is good news for me because I didn’t want one bordering on white; it is a proper tan colour.
My cap is going to be used when I’m trekking and it fits me well. I would recommend it. I don’t expect it to be around in 5 years, but at this price I don’t mind.
