1. Confirm that the vacuum cleaner is in a power off state
2. Open the dust collection bin and gently extract the air inlet filter screen.
3. Use clean water to rinse the intake filter screen, and then place it in a cool and ventilated place to dry in the shade
4. Remove the air outlet filter from the rear of the vacuum cleaner and clean the dust.
5. Finally, install the filter back to its original position

great little cleaner shuch good value I did not find that the handle got too hot but I do have a small flat so maybe that happens when using it for a longer period of time the only downside for me is that the cable is short so have to keep moving the plug from room to room but I can honestly say this is the best buy I have made in a very long time
