This portable SSD is super fast. Solidly built and stylish. Feels good in your hand and looks good on your desk. Slips easily into a pocket of your jeans or laptop bag. Stays cool when in use. Top shelf.
Cumple a la perfeccin con la velocidad de trasferencia y de funcionamiento. Es muy recomendable.
Lo utilizo como disco de arranque y funcionamiento general del sistema operativo. Tengo Mac.
La capacidad sera deseable 1Tera pero teniendo en cuenta que el disco duro original se puede aprovechar como almacn, es suficiente.
A destacar tambin la calidad.

Hola. Pues compr este disco para instalar en l el sistema operativo de un iMac de 21″ de 2015 que iba lentsimo. Fue formatear el Crucial como disco de arranque y elegir en el iMac que arrancara desde l y… ordenador nuevo! Va mucho ms rpido que recin comprado. Es una maravilla. El caso es que en las pruebas que le hice no pasa de unos 400Mb de lectura/escritura para traspasar ficheros, pero en la realidad va rapidsimo y con mucha estabilidad.
Si tienes un ordenador viejo al que no le puedes cambiar el disco interno de arranque, te lo recomiendo sin ninguna duda. Por cierto, despus de las diversas actualizaciones del SO del Mac, sigue funcionando estupendamente con Big Sur. Pues eso un 10 de 10.
Habe mir diese SSD fr meinen iMac gekauft als separate Festplatte fr Games. Beim zocken gibt es keinerlei Probleme (bei Warzone, Cold war, Cyberpunk)
Die angegebene Datenrate entspricht dem real mglichen (bei Thunderboltnutzung)
Das kompakte Design hatte mich vollkommen angesprochen und ich wrde diese jederzeit wieder kaufen.
premetto che lo sto usando come unita esterna aggiuntiva di serie x fa bene il suo lavoro e al.momento dell acquisto era quello che garantiva il miglior rapporto qualit/prestazioni/prezzo purtroppo 500gb sono poca cosa ma, me ne occorreva uno alla svelta ed era.l unico taglio disponibile prime (al momento del acquisto).
consiglio cmq di verificare sempre se ci fosse qualche offerta su altra.marca o altro taglio.
La mia scelta stata guidata solo dal rapporto qualit prezzo la bont del prodotto cmq confermata. Quando torna disponibile il taglio da 1tb

La razon por la que le doy cuatro estrelllas y no 5 es porque pese a que es muy comodo y pequeo como dice en las especificiaciones, me llego sin ningun accesorio(ningun cable usb C- a A) pese a que la caja pone que viene con ellos, asi que no puedo conectarlo a mi computadora ni ningun dispositivo
I really like the flexibility being capable with both the old USB Style and new USB capabilities. Made it really easy to move files form my old computer to my new computer. Was a simple drag a drop in both cases.
Very useful product and one of the best ssds i have ever owned. File transfer is just amazing and super fast. Helps you get your works done. Oh yeah so i’m happy
L’unica caratteristica che davvero mi sento di segnalare che manca (ma si sa prima di comprarlo) la mancanza degli standard IPX (resistenza caduta, polvere acqua).
Sarebbe bello averlo in colori diversi.
Avendo fatto dei test su altri supporti, ovviamente ho ordinato anche un cavo Thunderbolt corto, per avere la massima velocit.
Come in tutti i supporti oggi (sopratutto USB-C) mi preoccupa la dissipazione e le temperature che raggiungono.
Velocit non posso lamentarmi fa quello per cui l’ho preso: svuotare l’ HDisk di sistema ma continuare a lavorare senza rallentamenti (contiene le librerie di photo-editing).
Per ora Ottimo consigliato!!!
molto elegante, di uso semplice ed immediato. ( anche x MAC) corpo in Alluminio con USB tipo C; cavo (fornito) con adattatore a USB -A. L’unico neo: trasferendo 3 Gb mi ha sorpreso quanto si fosse scaldato….. veramente molto, molto caldo… si scalda abbastanza anche solo lasciandolo attaccato senza operare. Per dare un termine di paragone dopo aver trasferito 3 Gb sembrava un Hard disk (esterno, quindi non ventilato) acceso da almeno 10 ore…..Non so , magari normale…
AGGIORNAMENTO: ho comprato il secondo SSD proprio perch il primo mi ha soddisfatto. Anche il riscaldamento non lo considero pi un problema. Ho trasferito una cartella di 250 Gb ed rimasto entro i 60 gradi
Buon prodotto e buona velocit. L’ho usato per installare Windows per Mac senza bruciare tutto lo spazio dell’SSD integrato. Non si nota la differenza di velocit tra il supporto interno e quello esterno. Attenzione, la cover esterna composta in parte da materiale metallico, quindi, se usato intensamente, raggiunge temperature abbastanza alte
Pendant les transferts de fichiers la coque chauffe au point de ne pas pouvoir la tenir. A voir si il n’y a pas un risque sur la dure de vie.

I bought this because I opted for baseline mac book pro of 121gb to save some money. However, I maxed that out very fast and was tired of keep having to delete and/or transferring data to my external HD. I am constantly running various Virtual Machines to test and run applications on it. I tried running it on my external HDD which was VERY slow and wanted to try a SSD external hard drive hoping it might help…….OMG it is BLAZING fast and made my life SO MUCH EASIER!!!!!
I love this external SSD I have 4 different Virtual Machines running on it with no problem!!
I can easily recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable, affordable and need good performance!
I have 3 VMWare Virtual Machines that I am running from this device that I must bring between multiple different locations.
It gets very warm (read: hot to the touch), so I usually put a desk fan (like a $10 USB fan) next to it and it keeps it cool. Although I suppose with what I’m using it for, it’s to be expected.
Aside from that, 0 problems.
Only complaint so far is that under heavy use, it gets quite hot. Not searing hot, but I wouldn’t put this on your lap.
Also, the USB A to C converter is keyed specifically to the cable. Essentially, you can’t use it with any other USB cables unless you physically modify it.
In conclusione sono molto soddisfatto. Non ho ancora provato se sia possibile installare anche windows tramite boot camp, nel caso consiglio un taglio di memoria minimo da 1 TB e non quello da 500 GB.
It is one of the fastest USB 3.2 Gen 2 external SSDs out there. It is small but solidly built like a paper weight. It works just like any other external SSDs/hard drives. The writing speed can be as fast as 800ish MB/s until it hits the SLC cache ceiling. It will then drop to hard drive speed. It will then pick up and drop again The phenomenon is especially obvious when larges files are being transferred. It is normal behavior for all external SSDs. Some profiles give you the faster overall speed than others.
One thing to add. The X8 only comes with a USB C to USB C cable with a USB A adapter. The adapter somehow reduces the speed to USB 2.0 territory. I test it out with another USB C to USB A cable and it works at USB 3.2 Gen 1 (or USB 3.0 if you wish) speed
Since this SSD memory has most likely a block size of 512KB you will not want to store small files that have to be overwritten often. However to archive any type of data or work as a swap disk for heavier files such as photos or videos it has probably the best read/write speed I’ve ever seen on a single external SSD.
Would surely recommend it to store Photos library if you are lacking capacity on your laptop…
Last but not least use the included USB-C cable or be cautious when you want to use another cable that it meets the best throughputs possible (not all USB-C cables are the same).
The Mac Mini with an internal HDD was getting slow.
Putting the system on to the External drive doubled the speed
Modle 500 Go (115) Install sur un Macmini 2018 comme disque de travail pour mes RAW.
Quelle rapidit (bien suprieure mon Samsung T5), mme si on n’atteint pas les 1050 Mo/s annoncs.
Certes il n’est pas TB3, dont l’intrt principal est la capacit de chainage.
Quand la vitesse offerte par le TB3, il faut vraiment en avoir besoin (pour la vido ?).
Pour la gestion du trim impossible pour le moment en usb sous OSX, je n’ai jamais subis de ralentissement avec mes vieux ssd en usb, donc je considre que ce n’est pas un point bloquant.
Au pire on passe le ssd sous W10 qui le gre.
Le X8 bnficie d’une trs belle construction en mtal avec un cable un peu court (voir si ce n’est pas trop court derrire un iMac).
Le seul point ngatif c’est la chaleur dgage (surtout lorsqu’il est sollicit).
Mais comme ce problme est inhrent ce type de ssd, et pire pour les ssd en TB3 (Samsung X5 et LaCie Bolt 3), je lui laisse 5 toiles.
Selon moi, le X8 c’est le bon plan du moment, surtout en 1 To (moins cher qu’un X5 500 Go).
