Didn’t like the ” crack” sound. It made me jump.
By the way…… don’t sit underneath it, the bits fall on your lap.
It took ages to finish my raisin slice.
The flies love this sadly its the last thing they see. This year l have noticed the flies are bigger than ever, but still no match.
Very reasonably priced I got one for the kitchen and front room. Easy to setup all you do is plug in and turn on. You can hang it up too.
Was good for the price at 15.99. The mains lead was a bit on the short side compared to my previous unit so rather than install a extension I turned it around the opposite way. It works and hear the odd crack with the results in the try beneath. Recommended for the price.
I bought this to replace a previous one from a different manufacturer that expired. It’s a must have for our loft space. Over the years we’ve had tens of wasp nests in the loft and it’s cost a fortune to get rid of them. I tried this and never looked back. During the early spring when the wasps start emerging from their golf ball hibernation and in the autumn when building them it’s zapped hundreds of them that would be nesting. I don’t mind wasps but not in my home. A word of caution – always put a hard fireproof surface under the zapper because the exploding wasp bodies can set fire to the roof insulation! It’s amazing what creatures get into the loft – not any more.
For some reason, our loft attracts flies by the score. It used to be very unpleasant, up there, with hundreds of them buzzing around and countless fly carcasses on the floor. I fitted a unit like this a few years ago (on a time switch to use cheap rate electricity) and it solved the problem at a stroke. On our electricity tariff, it costs about 0.5p / day to run.
The old unit eventually malfunctioned and I bought one of these to replace it. All was not smooth sailing, the first unit to arrive didn’t work, but the seller sent another one without fuss and it’s fine. There are 20W fly zappers on Amazon that cost several times as much as this, and I don’t think they’re any better.
Overall, I’d give the unit 10/10 for price, 10/10 for function and the sellers 9/10 for service. If they’d sent a working unit the first time around, I’d have given them a 10. As it was they were quick to fix the problem, so I’d certainly buy from them again.
