One in pack did not work, but others were placed in garden, and light up areas we need to go in very well. These receive lots of daylight. One at side of house does no get so much sun, but works just as effectively.
Overall would buy again. (Would have returned for working set of 4, but needed lights immediately, and for the price even 3 were a good buy).
These are brilliant I now have 3 sets,
have them on the setting where they are on as soon as starts getting dark, and then if any one movement they get brighter.
Neighbor bought similar for the garages a couple of years back and it stopped working after a few months. I bought for garden recently and noticed why there is a product issue but for the price these are brilliant. Simple fix: waterproof tape over the back cover seams and screws. Simples. I did break one accidentally so reverse engineered and well. Simple design overall but use those massive batteries from modded vape pipes so no reason why these won’t live for years after waterproofing the back. Oh, the brightness is as advertised, blinding in the dry.
Lovely bright lights, with good detection range.
And covering 1-2 fence apart.
Not a very big solar panel but still sufficient to absorb enough light during the day.
However, you will have to work on the right mode according the to the seasons- which can be easily changed by the button at the front.

They’ve been especially useful for me as we have now installed these high-up at the side of our house down what you may call a “private alleyway to our drive” – an area where there is no streetlighting, and no easy way to route electricity.
The four lights are spaced a few metres apart each, and provide more than ample light for us at night, and given that the ‘alleyway’, which is brick one side, wooden fence panels the other side, gets only about 3-4 hours of direct light per-day, most of the time is in shadow.
Even so, these lights – which have been up and running for about a month now, give plenty of light in the evenings after dark – even with low charging opportunity. It will be very interesting to see how they perform in winter.
The units are well made, easy to fit, and easy to set-up… we use the “dusk til dawn/ motion sensing” setting which I guess most folk will, and they perform perfectly – even though they are set sideways, motion from us walking from either side angle is detected in plenty of time to light our way, and the fact there are lights on the front/ side of these units, the amount of light is fantastic.
