Dab change over meant I lost Classic FM,so this was a good buy,I have plumbed into a tower,because the sets on/off switch is small and not well placed,a lovely little radio.
I’ve only had tgis a few days but so far, really lovely little radio, which looks great in my kitchen. The sound is excellent and its very easy to set up, only time will tell if it lasts! So far so good.
Does what it says on tin, great sound and quality for price. Got for my mum for her birthday for her office and the colours are really lovely too, I got the black and gold FYI!

I really liked the look but the add said it was battery operated, which it is, but it’s also got a mains adapter which took it from ok to exactly what I wanted. It looks great, it’s a perfect size and the sound on Bluetooth is really good.
Easy to use and I bought it for the Bluetooth so I could use at work.
Tunes in to stations well and the sound on full is enough for a room and does not distort.
Best radio for the money.
Easy to follow instructions for tuning stations, setting up language preferences & setting date & time easily.
Good sound quality even with volume up to max.
Mains or batteries power sources.
Looks cute, a good choice differing colours… I chose the grey with a copper display section, looks retro and smart.
Lovely compact radio bought for my husband. We love the carrying handle, so useful and the fact that there are a lot of channels, plus the versatility of mains or battery operation. Some people mentioned the small buttons to operate different channels, etc. but this is absolutely not an issue for us. No-one should have any doubts about purchasing this great little radio with the added benefit of a range of colours to choose from. Highly recommended.
We’ve got 4 of these dotted around the property now, great sound and well made. Would definitely get another the same if needed, I might buy one for the sheep shed next.
Bought this for my wife to use in garden and she loves it, says having the handle allows her to hang it on trees and bushes and it is very easy to tune to the stations she listens to not very impresse with the presets as when you turn the set off and switch it back on the next day the presets have gone!
We just love our little “sheldon” the sound quality is amazing for such a dinky little radio. We wanted an attractive looking DAB+ radio for use in the kitchen but also with the capability to run off battery power out in the garden. The Shelton delivers on all these counts, attractive grey leather look with soft cooper controls and as already said so impressed with the rich quality sound, its so powerful you barely need to have it above 2 on the volume control. Minor gripes the switch being on the back and just wish it was a bit less hungry on the batteries, maybe a rechargeable battery in the next model.
I’m a single mum to twin b/g babies, my bluetooth speaker broke a month or so ago and I haven’t listened to the radio in SO long! everyday is crazy and I barley find any time for “self-care”, so have put on capitol “chill” this evening once babies went to sleep, and have never been happier cleaning up a house full of mess
So thrilled with my Little Shelford radio. It took me a while to find the stations I wanted but I now know that was my fault. I bought it so I could listen to the test match and plays etc. AND NOW I CAN! Utterly chuffed and it looks so sweet too.
Our Robert’s radio kicked the bucket and wading through all the options for a replacement led me to this little product. Wanting to support a small, local business I purchased this radio and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It looks so smart and the sound quality is absolutely fantastic. Kitchen parties start here! It’s got real beans and great bass, and the best radio I’ve ever had. Go on buy it, you honestly won’t regret it.
I bought this lovely radio for my mum who has dementia. I’ve preset the one station she wanted and the sound is superb. What I wanted was for her to be able to just plug it in the wall and it immediately go to her station without her fiddling with it. She still does faff about with it but it’s simple and easy to get back to her station. Much better than her tv where she is forever losing the remote control.
I know she has ‘company’ when family aren’t around and she just loves it. Battery operated too if needed what’s not to love!
I adore this radio. It’s light, it’s small it’ll go into any room, the reason I bought it is I work in a delivery bay which is underground, and the last radio I had was too weak to pick any signals and if a lorry came in well lots of crackles, this radio is soooo much better with the dab reception, no troubles at all with radio. And it also has picked up many many different stations of that I didn’t realise existed, excellent service for the price, amazing
Good parts:
* I love the aesthetic design of this, especially the cream coloured variant.
* The buttons all make sense, I didn’t need to read the manual to start using this.
* The sound is very nice, which makes it a great feature that you can also use this as a bluetooth speaker.
Less good parts:
* The power plug is micro-USB instead of USB-C, these kinds of plugs wear out much more easily.
* Bafflingly, plugging in headphones does not mute the speaker.
* There are only 10 preset slots for favourite DAB stations, I would have preferred 15 as in my area there’s more than 10 DAB stations I consider worth listening to. But it’s not that hard to go through the full station list.
Overall I am happy with my purchase even if I find a few of the design choices questionable. The good firmly outweighs the bad here. I would recommend it as long as you don’t find these quirks too bothersome.
This is the first DAB radio I have bought (apart from my car radio) and I’m impressed.
I really like the grey and gold colour, very smart. It’s easy to use and you probably won’t even need the instructions but if you do, they are easy to follow.
Ok, the important part! The sound quality for me is vital and I’m not easy to please. As an ex professional musician I expect something which gives good clarity with good bass, mid and top end. Well, considering the size of the speaker and the price of this unit I’m not disappointed. I didn’t expect high end performance from this little unit of course but I’m more than pleased. I also get surprisingly good volume without distortion.
I run it on mains but I can always take it with me and use it with batteries. I haven’t done this yet so I don’t know what the battery drain is like. Definitely a very good buy…

Easy to set up & seeks stations easily, on/off button is at the back away from the other controls. Happy with my purchase & would recommend.
