    Good sturdy cartridge paper for pencil or ink work. There is a slight grain just enough to add a bit of texture and allow for looser media to grip. I’ve only used one sheet so far on a commission so already it’s paid for the pad several times over! Looking forward to using the rest of it!

    So far I’ve only used the pages for acrylic paint. I coat them in gesso or acrylic binder before I start. The number of pages in the pad and the the price suited me as well as the paper being fine grain heavyweight. If I want another watercolour paper pad in A3 size I’ll buy this one again.

    Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersSuperb! Arrived promptly and in perfect condition. I was looking for a quality paper at a reasonable price for my colour pencil landscapes and i can honestly say this is the best i have used so far. The paper is sturdy and durable and even with it’s fine grain has plenty of tooth to apply layer after layer of colour. Blending on this medium is where it really outshines paper in the same price range, applying mineral spirit or paint thinner with a brush has the most beautiful natural results with layered colour. I am so impressed with this product that i am going to do a review of it on my youtube art channel (david thornber) and future video’s of my colour pencil landscapes will definitely be created using this brilliant paper.

    I have not found paper better than this.
    It is very thick & very strong & so can handle paints (including water based paints).
    it is also smooth but very slightly rough and so is good for pencil drawings/sketches.
    It also claims to be acid free (for any people that are worried about long term effects).
    When I found it in the shops, I stopped buying all other papers & now I only use this brand.

    Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThis is the first time that I actually bought a branded sketch pad as I usually just get WHSmiths own brand, but I can certianly tell the difference! This paper is amazing it has a hick texture so the paper isn’t flimsy, it’s more like card if anything because of it being heavyweight of course. Only done one portrait drawing in it so far but it’s brilliant! You can rub out again again and the paper doesn’t come away which is a massive thing for me when drawing. Highly reccomend this brand and sketch pad!
