Have fit mine in the back garden near greenhouse running reinforced hose through garage clipped to the wall then on to a post the only amount of hose on show is a foot we’re its connected to tap on drive
Simple to install, just screw to the wall or woodwork, and push on the hose connector. If you like you can use it as a roving tap on the end of a hose. Easy.
Great little tap & price bought two we have a large garden, saves on getting hose out if you just want to water pots , we have placed two of these as we have a very long garde , just use the water can or smaller hoses left up garden so easy saves dragging a very long hose all over the garden, highly recommend screw to wood or wall all fitting s included highly recommended wished I had purchased years ago
This product exceeded my expectations.Very pleased with this as
I used it in conjunction with a water timer to water my greenhouse.
Very pleased with my purchase as it works very well.
This is a really great product that I needed to use for connecting my water ports to a tap that then could be used it’s superb quality thick brass is not going to let you down a difficult bottle defined there’s not anything else like this really available you won’t be disappointed
The tap is manufactured from solid brass and can be fitted on any flat surface and comes with the necessary screws and plugs for mounting. Simply install it on a fence post or wall and attach the garden hose and it’s all ready to go.
Was always hampered by having my tap on the front of my house, was planning on paying for a copper pipe to be installed so I could have a tap in my back garden until my fabulous partner bought me this simple, brilliant tap. Easy to install, incredibly sturdy. Would give 10 stars.
Bought this outside tap to run water, via a hose pipe, to my greenhouse. Perfect for me as the input route was via a hose and not a plumbed in copper tube. I’ve pressure tested it and there are no leaks. It’s sturdy and fitted in minutes with the accompanying fittings which allow you to screw to wood, fix to masonry, or bolt to a metal shed. It was delivered within 24hrs and at a very fair price. Highly recommended!
my outside tap is to the rear of the house so when i wanted to water the front it meant attaching the hose and going right around the property , and i needed a massive , long hose which was fitted to the wall as it was so large, and it was showing its age.. Then i got this lovely little tap.. screwed it to the fence at the front of the garden , removed the huge hose and cut it to size, double adaptor on the tap and the hose is now fitted to run from the outdoor tap to this one ….i now have a small light easy to carry hosepipe and i can use it to the rear then walk to the front attach to this and away i go.. brilliant and as a disabled person first class help..
I purchased two of these to extend both hot and cold outside taps from the side of the house to the rear. Works great with correct fittings. Will see how long they last and if they do fail, I’ll update this review.
ordered this but the driver could not leave it in a safe place due to Amazons policy of on delivery i had to prove i was over 18 . Not sure how dangerous it is yet as i have only used it a couple of times.
easy to set up
Just what I wanted but not sure why a garden tap is “Age Restricted”. Took my wife ages to convince the delivery man that I didn’t have to leave work to show him my driving licence
I was asked to provide proof that I was over 18 to receive this because the package was labeled “bladed article”.
Somebody in the dispatch department is either asleep or seriously confused about the meaning of the word “bladed”.
The tap is quite small, so you won’t get as high a flow rate as you will through a properly plumbed in tap, but then again you aren’t having to plumb it in, so it’s a trade off. For what it is, it is well made just don’t expect it to match the flow through a plumbed in tap.
I needed a water supply to front of house. Fitted to front wall of house using the screws and rawplugs included (why do they also include small bolts and nuts? Can’t imagine how you’d use them).
Push fit accepted my existing plastic Hozelock hose connector to bring in the water supply. The threaded nozzle accepted a new brass connector (Tip: wrap some plumbers ptfe tape around the thread first to ensure a completely watertight connection).
I fit it into the wall and in overall it works as expected except I need to be careful when turning it on so I don’t scratch my finger into the wall as the tap handle is so close to what I attached it into
Quite a small tap. Solidly made, doesn’t drip and easy to use but for the price I would have expected it to be the size of a normal UK tap and it is probably 20% smalle
Exactly what I needed to enable water flow at the furthest point in the garden. Well made, but very limited space between the inflow connection and the outflow tap. Standard modern Hoselock fittings which are now bulkier than earlier models, make for a tight co-existence. In fact, I had to find an old model to make it work.
Other than that, the tap is great.
Useful tap with the hose connector and I’m very pleased with the design and operation. It’s first class.
However, the tap came with substandard fittings not fit for purpose so I used my own size 10 x 1.5″ screws rather than the poor unsuitable ones provided.
I’d have rated it 5 if the fittings had been high quality.
Well, I had been looking forward to receiving this tap as the supply fitting made it easier to attach a hose or supply hose instead of faffing around with copper pipe. I will try to be clear with pros and cons as the build quality is brilliant and for a novice DIYer it would be much easier to use.
For a start the build is great. The brass is well cast and solid, no flakes or sharp edges often found on cast metal products.
The first thing I noticed was how low the tap head is to the body, this means you have less clearance once fitted to a back board or wall. For some this might be useful especially if you are trying to fit a tap with low height clearance.
I wanted to fit it to a back board to stand proud of the wall with a bucket stand below. But the proximity to the wall bracket in height meant it did not stand proud of the top of the board. However this of course is not a fault, just a different design which didn’t suit my needs.
The tap handle turns smoothly and without great effort, it also has fairly large paddles to turn making it easier for people with a weaker grip.
The threads are clean and without fault, the tap does not leak and the rubber washers are chunky and good quality, and the back plate is accessible enough for a long handles screwdriver to fit.
Screws are included, suprising not brass like the tap itself, a minor detail but for me I hate to see brass fittings with silver screws. The screws themselves are of good quality.
I would recommend this for anyone who does not have the skill to fit a tap with copper pipe feed. Very well made in all aspects, great price, what’s not to like. Would recommend.
