I did a lot of research into which electric fly killer was best before buying this, and this one has been spectacular. Yes it is a loud bang when it gets one, but it really gets them. Works better when not in direct sunlight which is to be expected, but even when it is light it gets them. Sometimes I’ll hear it go off several times within a couple of minutes and I almost feel sorry for the family of flies that decided to take a day trip to zapland
I had enough of flies coming in all the time when I’ve got windows and doors open and wanted something that was large and effective enough, not collecting sticky dead flies or smelling like some traps, I like the size of this unit it fits on top of my kitchen cupboard. It makes a very loud snap noise when it kills a fly that makes me jump at times but at least I know it’s working.
Bought with voucher reduction so very happy for the price.
Only criticism, flys sometimes explode, the loud bang and crack as the fly disintegrates makes me jump, although satisfying to know it’s working. Only it sends dead debris of fly carcass across the room instead of into the catch tray ,
Other than that my kitchen and food is safe
Had a bad fly infestation. This sorted it so quickly. Went from dozens of flies to zero flies in just one night of use. Now only switch it on when any come in and they quickly find this and are zapped very efficiently. Does make quite a loud snick. Worth every Penny.
We have had other fly/insect killers in the past but this one is by far the best. Whilst others seem to work on small flying objects this one tackles even the largest. Our dog doesn’t like it (makes a loud bang when the insects are dispatched) but we love the effectiveness of this zapper. Highly recommended, and one that really works.
Excellent product and value for money. started working as soon as it was plugged in, the zap noise did make me jump. I have placed it on the shelf in my conservatory the only issue I have is the lead is not long enough to hang where I wanted it to go but this could always be resolved with an extension lead. It’s a nice size for my requirements. I will definitely be ordering another one for my kitchen.
Unfortunately when a fly is caught there is a loud bang and a ball of fire. Caught many flies but the noise frightened my dog so much she won’t go in the room. But apart from the noise best fly catcher I’ve had
The only reliable way to stop flies bugging you on summer days. I did jump out of my skin the first time it fried my nemesis! But you soon get used to it and it is definitely better than being constantly “bugged” by the little creatures.
Good value and does what it says on tin – would recommend.
Highly satisfying loud crack when exterminating an unwelcome bug which both makes me jump and smile at same time
Well it certainly shocks them and sh12s the life out of my dog.. mee too not gonna lie…
It gives off a loud shock and flings them out (not all but some) slightly satisfying but out of the 30 flies a day, it probably kills about 5 and that’s at night #losing the will…
After building a kitchen extension, we quickly realised that not only did we love the large glass bifolds, skylights and “picture” windows, but so did every bug going!
Why can they find their way in so easily but become thick as **** once they’ve bumped their heads a few times on the windows!?
It was driving me mad, so many flies in the (UK) summer evenings. We’d tried everything, even the dog was exhausted after hours of pointlessly air chomping with little success
This product arrived today, it’s been plugged in for 45 minutes and has already zapped anything brave (or stupid) enough to cross its path!
Yes, it might suit the decor of a local takeaway over a family home, but let’s be honest; with 2 kids and a dog, it may as well be a fully functioning (be free) takeaway restaurant anyway
Our conservatory has been plagued by flies of all sizes. This device really zaps them. The drawback is that it cannot differentiate moths and bees. We are working on that. Otherwise an excellent product for us. Recommended.
It a really good piece of equipment it had only been on for about two hours and ended up with flys, mosquitoes, and lots of midges and fruit flies. It was very noisy when they were zapped that my dog would jump and run to see what it was . Apart from that it’s good VFM.
Subtle illumination drew myriad insects in, their eventual fate sealed by the waiting electric mesh. Astoundingly, the unit’s reach was vast, mirroring the grandeur of an estate. With no noxious sprays to worry about, my mind was at ease. Cleaning was quite straightforward, as the tray slid out with ease, full of the night’s captives.
It’s really helping in this warm weather to control and catch flies, insects etc. Quite a compact gadget to use in the house. I’m using it in the kitchen area and really pleased with the results.
Happy to recommend this be sure to use under cover though if outside Not sure why it state’s suitable for ‘indoor or out’ it certainly wouldn’t fair well if properly outdoors & it rained.
I like to keep my back doors open for fresh air. Started getting flys I in the house and this helps quite a bit. Also had some small flys around my house plants and this zapper got rid of them. It’s handy to have around the house.
Order this for my office use .I’ve already tried a few other (cheap) insect killers and fell on my face with them… barely spent a few more pounds and it works great with this device, it feels like it’s constantly sizzling and the annoying critters are noticeably less around you.Good build quality.Clear purchase recommendation.
