Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI absolutely love this thing!

I bought this label making machine so I can organise things for art and crafts and also around the house generally. It was extremely easy to start it off, inserting the paper casette, and the batteries, and then off I went. Labelling anything that wasnt nailed down! Brilliant piece of kit and fits ok in the hand rather than its larger version which I returned as my hand wasnt wide enough to hold it comfortably.

This is so handy. I’ve just had to buy a new one because I lost my original one and needed to print a new operator ID out for my drone. Comes with white paper tape but you can get loads of different ones. I’ve got the iron-on tape to label my daughter’s school clothes, yellow and white plastic and the one used for my drone was the transparent tape. Love this product!

I ordered this one, but having read the reviews was fully expecting the cartridge to be missing, but can confirm it is in the box, just carefully tucked into the cardboard packaging, so some other reviewers may have missed this. Excellent label printer! Highly recommend!

Love this little machine. It’s so handy, easy to use and labels are clear. You can customise labels with some images if you like so would be good if you wanted names putting on kids stuff like pencil cases etc.

Fantastic little handheld label maker. Extremley versatile and easy to use.The font size can be altered, large or small print. The label maker comes with a starter cartridge which is tucked into the packaging at the top.Initially I thought that mine was missing until I checked the packaging again,be careful not to throw it away when you dispose of the packaging. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I want to label electric cables, so the white paper with black text was the way to go. The cartridge came with the device and after putting batteries in and some ultra simply setting up I was ready to print. Absolute piece of cake. The label has a think line cut on the back too so getting the backing paper off is simple. Also if anyone remember the plastic tape where letters were stamped into it you will remember how dire the adhesive was on them. These are much, much better and the quality of print is excellent. A backlight would have been the icing on the cake but absolutely not a deal breaker. I am over the moon with this.

Dymo are always brilliant products, nothing wrong with my old one (exactly the same one), just that my boss did not give it back to me when I had to leave work due to Ill health.

    I couldn’t live without one!

The dymo label maker was just what I was looking for and so easy to use. The only problem is opening the sealed plastic packaging. I wasn’t able to open it and had to wait for someone else to come along and open it for me, that is why I gave it 4 stars.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersExcellent product. Easy to use and the adhesive quality is superb. Even used it for parts of my sons sailing dingy which are open to the elements and still remain readable. Highly recommend this product.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI absolutely love this! I bought it for work, along with some extra label cassettes – and it’s just as well that I did! Although the box states that it includes a cassette, unfortunately there wasn’t one inside
Otherwise, 4 stars – would recommend!

4.0 out of 5 stars Love it, but...

My only criticism is that it does not have a “Qwerty” keyboard. Other than that, it would be five stars. This is clearly stated in the product description though, i.e. “ABC Keyboard”. And yes, of course, batteries are not provided. 🙂

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersI have one of the older types of these, the type that embosses the letters into the plastic tape. It was getting a bit long in the tooth and I wanted something a bit easier to use, and also that used labels that were easier to read.

The LetraTag I find is very easy to use, and there are two main parts where you access the settings. One is the actual settings button, that allows you to set the contrast of the print out text, size of the text. Another is the format button, which allows you to set the style of the text (italic, bold, normal) and also in here is the option to have a two line print out on the label.

I have used this to print out some labels to stick on the many plugs around my desk, and also where my TV unit is. My girlfriend is into crafting and she will also have some use of the LetraTag with her crafting.

To use the Dymo LetraTag is very easy and installing the printing reel takes seconds and clicks into place with a positive click. It has a clear and legible LCD screen and you can see exactly what is going to be printed, before hitting the print button. One little complaint I have, is with the keyboard. It is not your usual familiar QWERTY key layout, and instead is arranged in an ABCDEF arrangement. I found myself trying to type on it and expecting to find the key I was wanting where I was placing my finger (as I am used to typing on a QWERTY keyboard, with using Smartphone, Tablet, computer keyboards) and found it took longer to type the text out than what it would have if the keyboard was arranged in a QWERTY key layout. Perhaps Dymo you could amended this model and have the keys arranged in a QWERTY key layout, as the vast majority of UK users will be most familiar with this keyboard arrangement. The keys I found looked a bit dated, and they are chunky and they do protruding a bit and also they are made of rubber, rather than the plastic keys we see on physical keyboards nowadays.

Once you have decided on what size the text is going to be, what style, you then press the print button. I was surprised how quiet and quickly the Dymo LetraTag printed out the label. Once the label has finished printing, you press the trigger like button on the right handside, and this will cut the label. The label has a perforated line on the back and I found the easiest way to remove the backing, was to gentle fold the label along it’s length and you then see the backing separate in it’s two half’s, and you then are able to stick the label onto whatever you desire. I found the print quality to be very good indeed, and was extremely happy with the results.

You are able to purchase different materials in the range of printing reels, and the one included with the Dymo LetraTag is a paper label, white background black text. But you are able to purchase plastic labels that come with a white background and black text, as well as a multitude of other colours that are available in this plastic label format.

I do have a complaint with the ridiculous plastic packaging that the LetraTag comes in. It is far too much plastic, it needs scissors or a knife to cut it open, the edges of the plastic are sharp. Dymo, why the hell don’t you not put this product in a card box.

Not much else to say, apart from this is a really handy product, that gives excellent results, and hopefully will last for years to come.

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersDoes the job.but…. Beware power needs! (Photos of what I bought from Amazon inc all my other ‘tape’) shows more info.

I needed one to label clothes and items for nursery.
I wanted one of the ones that links to computer ( the 280 one I think it was…but it has no clothes ‘iron on’ tape option. Dymo only do the iron on tape option for Lethratag). So I bought this one.

I bought the plus for the free extra tape that came with it, plus the as previously mentioned magnetic/screw able to wall holder for storage.

What happened… Within 10 minutes it ran out of the seperately bought batteries (none come with it). These batteries were store brand high capacity for power hungry items… But they couldn’t survive the actual printing. Although when I checked them using the battery tester they were still halfway in the good zone… Just not high enough for this power hungry monster.
Tried to use a multi adapter no joy.
You cannot use a usb plug to power it (big downside for portability to supplement battery high juice needs), which most things do support these days.
It has a circular power adapter female socket (needs a 9v DC 2.0A (—-(negative) polarity supply.

But Simple to use. And I like the quality results. The a-z keyboards takes a bit of rememebering for us qwerty users, and although no purple, there is green plastic and metallic options, clear and metallic silver,

Will update review once got round power issues…. And can say more about everyday use (will add to comments of this review).

Photo 1) the wall holder and above it, the back of battery compartment, the open back of the machine (see yellow warning sticker saying use only high capacity batteries) and my selection of tapes (sorry they were taken via iPad so not the best quality pics)
Photo2) the wall holder and the device open.
Photo3) the back of wall holder and the device shut.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great! But heavy power drai
