Brilliant product. I ordered one for myself to try, as it was so good, I ordered another one for my father. Again brilliant and fast delivery. Would highly recommend if you’re having trouble with your ears.
It works well once you get your head around using it. It’s like looking in a mirror so confused my brain at first! Revolting but so satisfying! Battery is rubbish but lasts long enough to get the get the job done for one person. Easy to charge.
Cleaned my ears out and I feel so much better after it! The app you need to download has a lot of reviews that say that it hacks into your WiFi and installs VPNs? I used it for about 10 minutes and nothing has affected me as I know of but just something to look out for!
Quite a good camera but it’s not easy getting a good view as you have to turn it to get the camera inside your ear to the correct view and you need to be careful with the tips as I’ve had one come off inside my ear trying to remove some wax and be very careful not to easily damage inside your ea
Works well is a bit hard to get the hang of but after a minute or 2 is easy to use it seems I should have had my ears cleaned earlier as I can now accurately hear better after the surprising amount of wax and crud I removed from my ea
I had recently seen various adverts on social media for more expensive versions of this and thought i would give it a go at a cheaper price. I wasn’t disappointed! I suffer from wax build up in one of my ears and this tool did the job. Set up was super easy and I am impressed by the camera quality for the low price. As others have mentioned it takes time to get used to using the tool and watching the screen, but after a few goes I find it way easier. Very impressed!
Great value product. I find it a little strange however that it connects to “local network” via WiFi to the phone. And does ask for a lot of permissions (you can deny most of it) but as a tool it’s great, picture is unbelievably clear for something so cheap and small. Charge lasts a long time. I wouldn’t bother with any of the rubber tips. Just the steel end. But gently as it gives better visibility and control, and no risk of anything coming off. Would be 5 star if it connected via Bluetooth, a little less invasive
Found it very handy. Picture quality is good. Instruction leaflet is a bit small and difficult to read. Looked for a copy on line to download but could not find one.
As someone who is paranoid about using cotton buds in ears I wanted a product which would allow me to still clean out any wax but without as much of the risk of accidentally hitting the eardrum. This product is really quick and easy to connect to phone via their app and gives a clear image of the inside of the ear. The only issue is the battery life isn’t very long so it needs to be charged in between each use
I ordered the ear cleaner with camera, it arrived today. Been using olive oil in my partner ears for a week as doctor said it was bunged up with wax. I read some of the reviews before deciding to buy this, a few were negative, but majority were positive. I’m glad I bought it, it was easy to set up to phone, which was great!
I was shocked when I put the camera into his ear to see the drum and ear canal totally coated in wax. I have managed to remove quite a lot, but have decided to use more olive oil tonight and tomorrow morning before going back in to remove the rest hopefully.
The camera picture is clear, the only thing I would say to anyone is to take it slowly going in and gently scoop the wax as my partner said when I was near the drum it was quite sensitive.
Very happy with purchase, would definitely recommend this.
This thing actually works better than I expected for the price. To connect, it has its own ‘wifi’ connection that you connect to through your phone, where you can then see the live view of the small camera. The picture quality is good and you can see right into your ear drum, and the small lights help. Of course, it’s not 4K ultra HD, but it definitely does the job well. The rubber wax scraper does not hurt at all when using. I wish there were a bit more scoop options with different shapes, but what you get already does the job quite well. Also, I have small ears and my skin is a bit sensitive, so when you poke in slightly wrong places it may start to hurt after a bit. However, I am sure this won’t be a problem for most. Overall, worth the purchase and good value for the price.
My son’s been having hearing problems for a while, where he’s talking far too loud. He’s too young apparently to have his ears sorted at the pharmacist and the GP didn’t really do much, came across this bit of kit and my god I am amazed at how easy it was to use and set up, he even did it himself while looking at the phone.
We are both very impressed! highly recommended.
Easily removed a piece of broken earplug along with what you’d naturally expect to find there but left me pretty nauseous. The sights are not for the faint of heart 🙂
I have Fibrous Dysplasia in the bone around one of my ear canals and as a result my ear canal gets narrower and narrower over time until I have surgery to widen it after several years. When it is narrow, sometimes water and wax can get trapped and I use Otex to flush this out. However, Sometimes that doesn’t work and my ear canal can get incredibly inflamed and sometimes temporarily close over.
A few years ago I bought an ear camera to help me see what was happening and and work out if something was stuck, my ear was swollen or had water trapped etc etc. It was a decent camera but it was wired, so I had to always get my MacBook out and connect it up to that and also the camera itself wasn’t very narrow so I couldn’t get very close to where the problem was. Also, the image quality wasn’t great (this was purchased 4 years ago though).
This new camera though is so much better. It connects to my iPhone by creating its own wifi connection and connects in seconds. Secondly, the camera housing, is much narrower and can therefore get closer to where the problem is and has a better quality camera sensor as well. So being able to see things clearer and closer makes this so much easier to use.
Another thing that I didn’t even know it could do before buying it, is that it keeps the image locked in a specific orientation no matter how much you twist the camera around. This is very useful as my old camera was a pain to get it in the correct orientation to work out what was happening in my ear. You can turn that lock feature off, but I keep it on as it makes looking in the ear so much easier.
Also, its USB-C so charging it, is really easy. Although, it didn’t seem to work with my MacBook USB-C charger, could be a power delivery thing. I charged it from a 5V PSU with a USB-C cable.
At 15, I couldn’t recommend this enough if you have issues with your ears.
HOWEVER: Coming from someone who has a genetic issue with their ear canal for almost over 15 years now, only use these cameras to view what is happening in your ear. DON’T use the scoops and tools as it can be very dangerous if you hit your ear drum with them. Plus, ear canal skin is very very sensitive. It can swell up and even bleed at the merest touch with the metal tools supplied with this or any other ear camera.
Use the camera to work out what is happening and if the problem is wax or water that is trapped, in most cases use Otex/Olive Oil to soften the ear wax, or if you have to stick something in your ear, use cellulose based ear wicks to soak up any water and drag out any debris. A cellulose ear wick is less likely to cause harm compared to a piece of metal or plastic attached to a camera.
To use the camera as just a camera you can unscrew the metal scoop off of the tip of the camera easily enough so you just have the camera to put in the ear. I screw the scoop back on when I’ve finished using it, just to protect the camera lens.
Brilliant tool, I have issues with my issue due to health condition and sensitivity, and clean them can often result in me getting stressed out or make me ear condition worse. I love this as it allows me to see what exactly I’m do to avoid causing irritation to my ear and results in much cleaner ears.
It works but instructions are not great. I have no wlan option on my smartphone. First install app. Then charge it, turn it on and smartphone finds it. Ignore wlan instructions.
It helps you see the wax in your ears, but it can tricky to remove the wax. It can be dangerous so mind how you insert it in you ears.
I wasn’t hoping for much when I ordered this, I thought it would be poor picture quality or not work properly with the app, but for the price it’s a really good little tool. It takes a bit of coordination to use whilst looking at the live feed on the app, but other than that it works really well. The app is fairly simple to use, connect your phone to the devices WiFi, push a button and that’s it, live images on your phone. I would happily recommend it.
This to my surprise is a pretty good and nifty product to have. What can I say.. The connectivity was easy to manage, the picture quality could be a bit better but I also didn’t expect it to be this decent when purchasing this product neither. The product is rather easy to clean and maintain. It most certainly wont replace my cotton buds but for further self care its almost a must! Saves a trip to the ear doc when stuff like this can become an issue quite quickly! We all know that one kid lol 😀
I love these ear device, this is my second one I had a different make before… It saves so much money on having to get ears cleaned out at a professional.
Not perfect camera but can still see the ear enough to do a good job!
I would say to be careful it could hurt the ear drum and I do find it leaves just the inside of my ear a little red when finished.
The camera is great for finding the wax, but when you put the spoons on you can have difficulty reaching the wax again and can be a bit painful. Be careful with the covers they can come off if not aware they are just silicon covers. Overall I like the product just take your time to get used to it.
Great device and very easy to use!
Ive had hearing loss for years, so when I saw this on Amazon with a voucher for 10 off I snapped it up!
It arrived quickly in a well presented box which was of good quality.
With the camera, you get a selection of tools, charging cable, a cleaning brush and plenty of replacement silicone heads.
The tools are obviously very small as they are meant to go in your ears but, they were suprisingly made of good quality metal. I personally found these tools to feel quite sharp while in my ears, but perhaps my ears were sensitive. However, the tools were effective and got most of the hard wax out.
The camera itself is great! Well made and feels like its made of more expensive material. To use the camera, you need to download and install the SUEAR app. The app itself is good, easy to use and self explanitory.
Back to the camera. Its small, and the neck is very narrow which makes it perfect for deep exploration. Its remarkably easy to use. Switch on by holding the button down, connect via wifi, done. Point and watch through the app.
I bought this camera on the off chance that I might be able to help understand why my hearing was so bad. I wish I had bought one years ago. My ears are now clean and clear if wax and more importantly I CAN HEAR AGAIN!!!
The only downside to this camera and having clean ears is, now i have no excuse for not listening to my wife now.
This camera is a must have. Since doing my own ears, I have cleaned it with alcohol and my wife and several other family members have since done their own ears.
I have shown the tip of a ball point pen in the photos attached to this review. This is to show the quality if the camera. 1080p which as you will see is more than enough to do the job.
My ears were feeling a bit uncomfortable and I suspected a build up in one, but wasn’t sure. At 80 for ear cleaning out now it’s not offered on the NHS, I wanted to be sure before paying for an appointment. This little gadget showed me what was going on and I’m so glad I didn’t put off the appointment I made as a result!
The device was very easy to connect to, full instructions are included. The image is very clear on the phone screen, and although it takes a while to get used to how to navigate it around your ear, what it shows is great. There’s a variety of little tools to help remove ear wax but my ear removal lady tells me to never put anything bigger than my elbow into my ear. This is because the skin and the eardrum itself is very easy to damage.
What I saw on one side was a wax build up and as I expected, but the other side had very wet fluffy stuff in there which didn’t look like wax. Well, it turns out I have a fungal infection in the ears – and my ear lady told me what I need to sort that out from a chemist.
So, although this brilliant device won’t be enough to fix all ear problems, it is great to keep an eye on what’s going on in there. I do find the little plastic cover is easy to slide off though, and more so if your ear has had any ear drops applied in previous days (like olive oil drops or similar) so do take care with that.
Overall, I’m very pleased with my purchase as it will let me monitor my oddly shaped ear canal and make an appointment when I spot the wax isn’t clearing naturally – saving me discomfort from putting it off hoping it’ll sort itself out.
