I have arthritis in both wrists & have for some time found it very hard to open jars, some are so hard to open as they are put on by a machine. I found this product & thought I would try one, it is very simply to use especially for elderly people.
Its also quite stylish & I have it sitting on my worktop ready to use, I do not know how I managed without it now, it is as simple as just placing the item on top of the jar, pressing the button & holding it until it grabs the jar, then you release the button & it keeps on tightening on the jar & turning until you hear a pop of the jar lid releasing. The item then returns itself to the starting position ready for the next jar! so simple to use!
I would recommend this product to anyone who is having a similar problem opening jars as they do seem to be getting harder to open these days.
Even if you don’t suffer from any joint problems, this is still an excellent product & I recommend it to anyone.
First of all, it’s bigger than it looks. It’ll open any size bar including those stupidly big American pickle jars you see on telly. It’s quiet when in use, it’s strong and never struggles, it grips well and doesn’t slip. It’s great. Would recommend.
The opener arrived very quickly and worked perfectly opening different size jars.I have athritis in my hands and can’t open jars on my own but this little beauty was fab.I was cheaper than other similar products on line plus customer service was 5/5
It actually works – was amazed how easy it was to open a jar!!! When I have opened the box was not sure would it work – but after some trail and error got it working. Once you manage to get it working – it works every time. The trick seems to be is to get the jar top right way – size of jar does not matter.

This doesn’t strain your arm at all it’s super super easy to use and I’m so annoyed I didn’t purchase one earlier. I love it and it’s become an essential tool in my kitchen cupboard
This is so helpful for opening jars! I’m young and relatively strong but some jars are just hard to open. This tool is easy to use , and quick. No mess so no washing needed, but this is shiny and smooth so would be easy to wipe.

This is an amazing purchase. I usually struggle opening jars especially if they are sealed or rather if the lids were closed by my husband. Thankfully, with this product i can open jars easily and fast even without any help from others.
When this arrived i was lost for words. The pictures or description don’t get across how huge this thing actually is. Finding space to store it will be a challenge as its much bigger than most kitchen drawers.
With that said it does work. Its strong and managed to open every jar i tried. I often heat the lids with a hot tap when i can’t open by hand and that makes them slippy. Still this device managed to grip and more importantly open those after i failed. I don’t have arthritis, at least not yet and i’m normally pretty good at opening jars but i still find this extremely useful. I was a bit dissapointed it didn’t include batteries and i expected it to struggle with rechargables i normally use but it performed well.
I’ll be keeping mine and for now it’s living on top of my cupboards. It would be so much better if it fitted in a drawer but not to worry.
My daily cooking experiences have become much simpler with this handy little tool. As someone who has always struggled with jar lids and can openers due to my arthritis, I now find it much easier to access those pesky jars and cans. The device is quick and efficient, making light work of stubborn lids. Its design fits well into my kitchen and doesn’t take up too much space. I’ve found it particularly helpful with jars of pickles and cans of soup. It’s a helpful addition to my home, and I’m glad I have it.
I was a little skeptical but decide to give it a go. I was pleasantly surprised! I tested on a few screw top pots and jars. In the attached video I did the jar up as tight as I could and tested that my Mum was unable to open it. She couldn’t open it. I made sure again it as tight as I could get it, then places this gadget on top and let it do it’s magic. As you can see in the video it was able to open the jar no problem and I’ve repeated this test on numerous types of jars. It’s a shame that it’s not a “one-touch” operation though. You have to hold the button for about 15 seconds, basically until the topmost grip grabs the lid, then you can let go of the button and it will continue for another 15-20 seconds and open the jar. It would have been nicer to just place it on top, press the button once and have the gadget do it’s thing. It’s also a little noisy as you can hear from the video – but I was definitely pleasantly surprised so still give it 5 stars
