I bought it for the laugh, I didn’t think it would actually be as awesome as it is. I hate peeling spuds but this thing is actually super useful and it’s survived a month of use so far, so I can’t complai

This is the 2nd one of these peelers. It seems cheap and a fad, but honestly these are a must have. We have a copious amounts of apples in autumn and this gadget pays for itself.

Of course it’s not perfect, but it’s more than good enough.

Not just apples, we use it on potatoes and turnips.

When this breaks, as things do inevitably, I will immediately order another. Thats praise enough

Best used on dry potatoes. I was washing mine and it didnt work so well. But son used them straight out the bag and it was fab. Just wash them after.

Absolutely brilliant invention, perfect for when you struggle to peel spuds for whatever reason. It does leave the top and bottom skin on but that takes seconds to get off with a normal peeler. This saves so much time and it’s had so much use in my house and still kicking

This has been a game changer for me. Being disabled with shoulder problems meant I didn’t do potatoes as it hurt to peel them, now have potatoes several times a week with this peeler.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersLove how it saves time but misses top and bottom of the potatoes. It also seems to knock off the larger potatoes and takes a few times of piercing them on to the spikes to get them to completely peel properly. Still worth the money as suffering with arthritis it saves me a lot of manual peeling.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI can’t believe more people don’t have these. I bought it for my in-laws to help with Christmas dinner prep (they usually use about 4 bags of potatoes) and this machine peeled all of them – different shapes and sizes – in less than an hour! With very minimal effort (and we kept stopping to take videos of the machine in action). Cleaning it is a breeze. LOVE IT!!!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI purchased this in January 2021 after watching my wife struggle a bit with peeling potatoes. At 25 it was worth the risk of giving it a try. It is made of cheap looking material however it does make peeling potatoes a breeze and with daily use it is still working in October 2022 – worth every penny. Brilliant.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSaved me hours of work with getting my fruit peeled for sauces. If I could get an all steel one I would buy it but this is great and it has a spare blade too Definitely 5 stars!

I was unsure about this item was I first saw it. However, the reviews of the item really gave me confidence, especially the videos! The peeler peels with ease and is much quicker than doing this by hand. It has been a great investment that has saved me a lot of time and effort peeling. I’ve only used this for potatoes and works great. Overtime the blade may become slightly blunt, however I haven’t had this too long and have had no issues so far! Brilliant item, would highly recommend for anyone who wants to save themselves a lot of time and effort peeling potatoes and other fruits and vegetables!

Doesn’t peel top and bottom of potatoes. Now only works intermittently. I am not the only customer to complain. Obviously the item should give at least one year’s service. Mine only had 10 operations.despite telling your chat team I had cancelled this return, an operator came to collect. Also, an operator called at my Daughter in Bolton to collect though I had told chat team to delete her address

It is great if you have trouble with your hands makes peeling very easy, just the very ends to trim.
Wash potatoes before you use as dirt on potatoes can cause the blade to block up. In addition you can use the peelings in a fryer to make the tasty treat.
Is a bit tricky when you first use would advise going on YouTube and checking out video beforehand just to make life easier for you.
I have found when cleaning the cutting head a small bottle brush works a treat to get any Crud off.
I have used mine with just batteries for quite a few months now and not had to change with use at least three or more times a week.
    I would highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersThis is one of many fiddly and fragile looking, apparently identical, peelers on Amazon.
    How to choose?
    What to avoid?
    How many reviews are credible?
The usual concerns about stuff on Amazon…..
So I got this one because my daughter had bought and recommended it. We both have arthritic hands and potato peeling hurts.
This is a real gem. It peels really fast and while it misses bits at each end, or where the potato is a weird shape, this can be fixed in moments with the old hand peeler before the hands start complaining!
I still have doubts about its durability, hence only 4-stars.
    Time will tell!

Arrived with broken plug and blade attachment would not stay in. I have not ordered another as it was very light and plastic so my mum & dad would struggle with it as they are elderly and they have shaky hands so this would be too light and therefor difficult to put potato on without it moving across worktop. If it could be built in metal it would be ideal for them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Arrived with broken plug & blade

very easy to use , the only think i say could be an improvement is that it does not peel the top and bottom .. i dont know if it the shape of the potato im using , or how im using it.

definitely worth the money if you like your kitchen gadgets

one think i like about it is that is can run of battery’s or electric

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBased on the price I did not have high expectations and my family thought it was a joke. When it arrived I couldn’t wait to have a go and the family, (pretending they weren’t interested), crowded round to, well, mock. Comes assembled, just plug it in, plug included, put a potato on the lower spikes, don’t have to push hard, just enough to hold it then pull the top spike down to hold the potato (or any other fruit/veg) in place. Spike goes in really easily, again, don’t have to push. Then sit the peeler arm on the top of the spud and turn on. At this point the mocking stopped, replaced by total silence as we all watched, transfixed, as it started to whirr, the potato began to rotate and starting at the top the potato skin was removed in one long, unbroken strand. Amazing.
The five star ratings I gave it aren’t totally accurate, there is no suction but it does hold the spud perfectly so it’s still fair and thickness doesn’t really apply either, but because the peel comes off in one long strand which is thick enough to remove the skin so it has to be right! We also realised that once peeled, you can run it through again to make perfect veg noodles. (This came from the audience who, by then had completely stopped taking the mickey and were all totally absorbed).
If you have really lumpy veg or fruit it would probably not work as well (unless you smooth them a bit first) and some potatoes might need to go through twice, mine didn’t. There is a small patch of skin left at the top and bottom which you have to peel manually, about a square inch which is fine and obviously you have to check for eyes and scrape them out but you can peel a potato in under ten seconds.
It is made from light plastic as you would expect for the price, and can be run on batteries or power cord. There are two spare blades stored in the base.
I can’t recommend this highly enough, I genuinely expected to be less than impressed. This is now an essential. I only got it yesterday and everyone wanted a go so I have enough peeled potatoes to last me until spring!!

I have only peeled one large potatoe and one apple so can not be sure how much I wil use this unit, but for what I have done it was very effective and quick.
It does have thee cutters, two tidied in the base, and the fact that these are required might be becasue they blunt easily and then how would one get replacements I wonder. But certainly, if you peel a lot of potatoers then it is very easy, though there is a portion at the top and bottom of the potato which wil need to be peeled by hand.
    Later:
I am updating my review as I have used this appliance more and I have to saying it is really effective in peeling potatoes and apples. I bought this for fun as I thought it might be one of those items I buy and soon after never gets used again but this peeler really does work on even huge potatoes and those that are not smooth and even shaped. I would be disappointed if this now stopped working as I do not think to reach for my hand peeler anymore. I am still on my first blade which is still effective and two more spare ones to go.
