Very easy to install and set up, picture quality is really good along with the app used for it. Only small issue I have is it doesn’t pic up human activity until around 4 meters away but activates when a larger object (car) goes past at around 15 meters

    Another excellent Eufy camera.
Like all the Eufy cameras I have purchased, setup was very quick, and simple.
Am very pleased with it so far, and greatly relieved that now I am older, will not have to climb a ladder to take it down to recharge. Brilliant!
Picture quality is great, even with night vision.
I have bought several different cctv systems over the years, and none are comparable to the excellence of Eufy.

Wish I had bought one a long time ago. I bit hard to set up but once it up and running. A brilliant camera in a shaded area but battery-never drops below 90 % and power will buy more for around house

Super easy to setup out from the box. Picture quility is good, solar is a plus. I know its motion active came and works well on most of time, but I do find sometime its miss record when im in and out the house even after I set everything to max recoding and max motion sensitive.

This product was purchased last minute for home security for a novice.. Easy to set up following instructions. I particularly liked the fact that it was solar and didn’t need to worry about installing. Motion detection & notifications are good and the picture quality is great.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI really like how easy it is to install this camera without needing any wires. At the discounted price of 59 quid, I believe it’s the best option out there. The app is also easy to use and very helpful for setting up the camera.

When I initially put the camera up it detected nothing. Turns out the area of detection is very focused through band across the field of view, with little detection in the top or bottom so keep that in mind.

When I moved the camera to a new location for a different purpose it does seem much better.

The app is great, lots of options for configuration, though the privacy zone setup could be as configurable as the activation zone adjustment. The WiFi is good even through two brick walls, and the camera activates very quickly is you want to look at it. Solar charging is so-so, it’s getting a good 3-4 hours direct sun a day, and it is slowing battery drain, but it’s not fully recharging the unit. I figure I may have to take down and recharge every couple of months for my specific use case (triggered a lot during day) but this is far better than the previous solution.

The lack of HomeKit integration is confusing though. This seems to be one of choice and not capability.

I’d also like to say thanks to the Eufy team. When I poster the initial review they reach out straight away and offered support and a refund. They do give great customer service.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersQuality is decent, not pin sharp but good detail.
Very quick install if you’re comfortable with a drill etc, setup is fast on the app but it is cluttered with ads for all the other products.
Microphone picks up on most stuff. Solar panel works really well!
You need to use the app, it’s Anker (I think) and they’ve been around for ages. There’s a bit of a delay, even locally but it’s only 5 or so seconds.
Night vision works well and has decent range and the speaker, while tinny does work well as long as you wait to speak.
For once, the reviews don’t lie on YouTube!
Get ready for so many human notifications every time you leave the house 😀
    Recommend.

This is my third camera from Eufy. The first two were a different model, the first lasting 13 months and the second lasting weeks. This model is a different design, with all the connections underneath giving them some protection from the elements. I believe this is what has made the camera much more reliable.

Fitting is easy (two screws for the wall bracket). Setup is straight forward, a lot of the configuration being sorted out by the camera app. You will need your wi-fi settings.

In operation, the picture quality is excellent but, in order to preserve battery life, recordings are limited to 20 seconds. That can be adjusted, but you risk running the battery down quickly. Because the camera has a solar panel on top, I have not yet needed to recharge the camera. In the spring/summer it seems to stay topped up to around 96%. I suspect winter may see me recharging it.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersExcellent product and excellent Eufy CCTV camera
The quality is very good for 2k, the quality of the video written on it in 2k could be even better, it recharges itself via its solar panel which is an excellent product that does not need to be charged via electricity. The battery lasts long enough even if it were cloudy for 3.4 days.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent camera cctv

I think these are expensive at full price, but as bought on sale, no complaints, i was suspicious if they would actually hold charge but even in the winter its holding up well, did need to adjust motion detect sensitivity, but it works grea

This camera is perfect if you want to install an outdoor cam at height. Charge it up first, then get your ladder out to mount it wear you want it and just leave it to do its thing. Mine is not in the best spot for sun light but has never dropped below 80% battery life even with getting around 50 activation a day. Great bit of kit. Going for the indoor sensors and camera next.

It took longer to get the ladder out and erected than fitting camera and installing app!
Understanding the scheduling of events is a bit counter-intuitive, but other than that, all is fine. Camera reached 100% charge after a few hours of sunshine and although it is facing southwest with the sun low in the sky, its still at 100%. Basically, it takes video footage and stores it, all very well. The only issue is, that it recognises washing hanging out to dry as a person moving, but hey, I can live with that for the protection it offers.
So pleased have bought another to cover a blind spot at the side of house, which together with Eufy light camera covering driveway, wraps up the exterior nicely.
Really pleased with the no-fuss devices and operation.

We have EUFY around the house so went for this camera to cover the garden. It’s looks modern and was easy to install and add to our EUFY system.
Can’t give 5* as even with all the guidance followed it still occasionally missses people walking in our garden.

Overall, it’s much better than I expected. The picture quality is amazing, however with good light only. After dark the quality drops drastically. Very easy to mount, and keeps charging even during bad weather.

Put this on front of our house after neighbours were burgled. It is inexpensive and was easy to connect to Euphy app. Not being very good at DIY we took a while to fix it. We are happy with it except that it seems to have a 2 second delay before recording hence misses the first action. Also slightly disappointed that it does not record events on the road, only movements which are within a 25 foot range ( the length of our front garden). However overall we think this was a good buy and great that it has its own storage and solar powered battery.

I was looking for a solution that fit my needs. And these eufy sola cameras are perfect in every way.

I never had an issue; fitting them was easy and hassle-free. The App is straightforward. My only wish is an outdoor 360 option pan and tilt . But sadly, there is not at present. It’s only an indoor version…

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersSeems ok not set up outside yet, just be aware you need to buy the Homebase 3 hub for the storage, which I didn’t realise, doesn’t actually store anything on the app. Bit annoyed that I didn’t realise this as it’s not a lot of good to me withou

Eufy in comparison to the Blink, connects immediately, lovely crisp picture, great sound. Schedules are easy to load.
    NO recurring monthly fees.
Solar powered battery. Option to charge too.
Had the Blink. Battery lasted a few months. Picture ok but took an age to connect. Stuttering.
If you want to keep video footage, add the homebase unit (other features with it too). Great storage capacity and unlike Blink, no recurring cost.

Great camera easy to use hook it up to my app with doorbell, it’s been a month since I been using it and we get alot of dog walkers as we are right next to a park, it charges itself, we don’t get it to 100% charge but its been 2 bars for a week and has stayed the same.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great camera

  23. Ree ReallyRee says:

Great video quality and easy to use app. The camera is triggered by motion and you can custom the length to save battery. It charges by around 3% per day depending on sunlight, and 6 weeks in a (rainy) Welsh summer is still on 95%.
    Only downside:
Cloud storage doesn’t seem to work with this camera
The mount doesn’t have any security ie. Can be easily unscrewed and take

Golden Review Award: 27 From Our UsersThe description says you can put it up anywhere, but when you set it up, the first thing the app does is lists ALL the places you can’t install it
Like under eaves, under or on trees, must be 7ft-10ft from ground, must be tilted to face sun, can’t be on shaded side of house (so forget front and back of house), must be in direct sunlight, avoid facing glass or a wall, under a porch, must be angled at 15 degrees, and where people are walking towards camera it may not detect them, avoiding pointing at swaying trees or moving cars, within 0.5m of a light, but other than that you can install it practically anywhere (as long as within WiFi range. Good luck!!

Once you’ve found somewhere you can actually mount it, the product then goes on to explain why it doesn’t work very well in winter months, due to the angle of the earth reducing the light getting through the atmosphere to the solar charger.

None of this useful information, about the product limitations, are in the product description on Amazo

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersSo we have selection of outdoor eufy cameras already set up, however we have a family of hedgehogs living in our garden and wanted a way to watch them and see them feeding on the treats and food left out for them.

Camera so easy to set up and perfect nighttime quality to review those hungry and adorable hedgehogs in action.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersLove Eufy products. We have the door bell and robot vacuum. And niw we added this solar powered camera. It works in the app.

Pros. Far better picture than the blink cams. Doesn’t get effected by peripheral lights using night vision. Crisp clear pictures during the day. Solar charge seems to be holding up. We’ll see how it does in winter. It’s doing well to pick up wifi, our signal is at its limit where we have placed the camera.

Cons: doesn’t always trigger with sensor, perhaps due my settings. Will play with it a little.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersFrom new I’ve charged it to 60% via usb cable and I’m letting the Sun/solar panel charge the rest. So far it’s quite responsive and picture quality is excellent. The battery/charge is holding well and increasing a few % each day. There is a dashboard/chart to see the charge rate which is useful. The great feature is you can mount high in places with no power and you have to dismount it to charge or replace the battery.

Golden Review Award: 51 From Our UsersReal review time – and yes, this does have built in storage OR could use a Homebase 3 for expanded storage.

As a longtime Ring and Kasa user i’ve been thinking about trying a Eufy camera for a long time. TBH i was put off by the revelations earlier this year and their patchy track record on honouring feature promises.

This came out, and given that it is compatible with the Homebase 3 or can act as a standalone unit i was interested. Combined with the built in solar panel (a saving of 50 when looking at other manufacturers) i went for it.

First thing to do upon receiving is was to charge it up via a mains charger, then create an account on the app. Wall mounting was easy thanks to the mounting template, although it doesn’t like brick. Initially i stuck to Eufys guidance of a 15 degree angle on the camera – but changed that a day later.

I found it took a day for the solar panel to register it’s receiving enough energy to charge, however i put it up in the afternoon in my garden which doesn’t get great sun coverage at that time.

So far the camera has performed well; signal strength is great although it’s only 8m from the router. Motion detection is very good, as is motion alert speed. Image quality is miles better than my 4+year old Ring spotlight cam. It has all the basics an then some; motion detection sensitivity, privacy and activity zones.

In short it’s great value even without the solar panel, add that in it’s ideal for a camera to keep an eye on a quiet-ish area. I’d debate that wifi cameras are not real security cameras given the rise of wifi signal jammers, but this is a good piece of kit in the first 2 days of ownership.

Put it this way, Eufy has potentially released a battery powered 2K wifi camera that you never need to take down to charge. At the same time Rings latest innovation was to release a 1080p camera where the only change was a plastic manual privacy cover – i’ll update as it ages.

A few tips on this though:
    1. Angle the camera to 35 degrees, rather than 15 degrees – it’s the optimum solar panel angle for the UK (Eufy seem to think everyone lives in Texas or California).
    2. You’ll need to clean to solar panel occasionally; a simple wipe with a damp cloth is all it’ll need
    3. A south facing mounting location is idea for the solar panel, but may not be practical
    4. Assume your data is being sent or processed in China; Eufy are a Chinese company. This is more important if you are using the Homebase 3 where it can use AI detection/facial recognition. I mean not a problem if you are on TikTok, and frankly it’s only a little worse than it being sent to the US.
